    Hi sis we need dark red or semman color... how do we mix it pls rly soon sis

    • @hiddentalents1253
      @hiddentalents1253  Год назад

      Redoxide ratio mentioned in the video gives dark red color only. If you want even more darker than this, then you can try increasing the quantity of red oxide powder. Test it in a small area and then do it in your room

    Thank you Akka. Your Video will be very helpful for me to proceed to do the oxide flooring. Just to clarify, you have mentioned in the video that the ratio is 1:3:1/2:1/2 and in the comment you mentioned that approx 150kg of White cement & 150kg of oxide powder was consumed. The quantity you mentioned is total qty consumed i.e. 1:3:1/2:1/2 ratio for the first layer and 1:1 ratio for the final layer?
    It will be helpful if you tell me the brand oxide powder was used. For now I decided to go for TATA Pigment - Oxide powder.

    • @hiddentalents1253
      @hiddentalents1253  Год назад

      Yes. That was the total quantity we bought for our home. And the ratio I mentioned in the video, is the mixing ratio.

      @@hiddentalents1253 Thanks Akka for quick response. Good to know that you have constructed your house following Laurie Baker's Rat Trap & Filler Slab Techniques. The interesting part is you have done this using Local Masons.

      Hi, we ordered from the production company through a store. Search for vinayaga hardware thalaivasal in google and get the contact number. Call him and say saravanan referred you. He will order it for you and get it shipped to your location. Please contact and get more details from him. I couldn't directly share the contact number here. So search in google and get it. I hope this helps.

    Have you polished mow. If not how long now its crossed for you maam . Please advise is waxcoating is compulsory

    • @hiddentalents1253
      @hiddentalents1253  10 месяцев назад +2

      We haven't polished yet. The most frequently walked area has started shining now. If you want a good look and feel then you can go for wax polishing which gives a shiny, glossy and rich look to your home. If you are ok with the slow process of getting shine, then you don't have to do wax polishing.

    First we want to do painting nd electrical work before flooring work before floor work done means it cause any damage for floor

    • @hiddentalents1253
      @hiddentalents1253  Год назад

      When we do flooring, concrete liquid might splash on the walls. So you have to re paint at least 2 feet on the walls near the floor

    • @hiddentalents1253
      @hiddentalents1253  Год назад

      You can do patti alone before flooring work. Electricians also prefer to work once the flooring work is done because the switches and fans might become dusty during floor work.

    • @hiddentalents1253
      @hiddentalents1253  Год назад

      You can line in tarpaulin ( tharpai ) to protect the floor during painting work.

      We covered 1600 sq ft approximately. Don't remember the cost exactly. Since it's been 8 months now, the cost will definitely vary with the current market rate.

    • @hiddentalents1253
      @hiddentalents1253  Год назад

      We got 2-3 sacks of white cement (150 kg) and 150 kgs of oxide powder. We got 25 - 15 kgs of oxide powder in the sack. So it came around 150 kg ( approximate) which includes all the colors we used.

    • @hiddentalents1253
      @hiddentalents1253  Год назад

      So for the area you want to use, check the market rate and calculate accordingly
