Sir u r my inspiration to perform dhrupad. Though I am a tabla and pakhawaj player I am always mesmerized to hear your divine recitals. Pls continue to post such performances in future
The foray into the ati-kharaj was out of earshot at times. Otherwise a soulful Dhrupad peformance of Tialk Kamod. Wonder if there is a recording anywhere of this raga by Zia Mohiuddin Dagar who was the very soul of Dhrupad baaj. But thankful for this rendering by Ustad Bahauddin Dagar as well.
Thank you very much for such an uplifting rendition my word the notes of tilak kamod on a rudra veena with the meends are exquisite in vilamba and exhillarating at speed
Mohi Bahauddin Dagar - Ustad ji, your response means a lot to me! I consider it nothing short of a privilege. Let me also tell you that the sound balance in your two uploads - Tilak Kamod and Bihag - is just perfect. The majestic tone of the Veena comes crystal clear right through. In most other uploads, the drone of the tambouras completely suppresses the veena specially in the soft dulcet aalap portions in the mandra and ati mandra saptaks. Please do keep uploading more. Will wait with immense eagerness. Warm regards, Soumya
Soumya Roy . Well , some people have been very very generous and I have been donated very good mics and a preamplifier to give better sound quality. Which unfortunately my father didn’t have . I am blessed. It is thanks to a whole lot of people that I am continuing to do this work
You have an enormous responsibility thrust on your shoulders - a legacy to carry forward. And you're doing a phenomenal job, Sir! As for your father's music, he may not have had the bonuses of technology but what he had was priceless, divine and truly eternal ... God-bless.
Very soulful filled with purity touches my heart, your music stands tall and inspires far and wide, Pranam
