In total, i took 8 hours on chapter 3. Finally in this video it comes to a close. I know I probably missed a couple things, but I think before we get to the end of the game we will revisit some of the bosses that we have missed - if they are needed. This game is legit and so much fun!
I love this game. Im.playing it on a Rog Ally X. It works great close to 60FPS. This game is awesome! I'm a dad and bit older these days so my console days are gone mostly. This game requires enough skill not to be boring but not so hard that I just want to quit. Graphics, gameplay, story great! The fox lady and the scholar was actually the conclusion for the cutscene from chapter 2. It talk about the nature of human and yaguai (yokai). Human fear the unknown and preemptively kill yaguai to protect themselves, and blame the unknown danger.
The story is about whether to choose to do good or bad things, it all depends on one's thoughts. Similarly, good or bad people, gods or demons, are all determined by one's thoughts. In the story, these bad people or demons all took the wrong path
yet the Buddha in Act 2 animation tried to convince you that human and guais are pre-determined by what they were born into. That some were born evil and some were born righteous. Remember guys, this game is called "Black Myth" for a reason.
I’m 20 hours into this game! This game is so much fun. Currently on chapter 3 right now. Some bosses are challenging but very fun to play against. Now I’m stuck on one of the loong bosses on the turtle island
Well, she’s beautiful, and during the fighting, press P to take pictures ,meanwhile moving the camera to certain locations, you’ll find that loong without underwear, don’t know if that fixed
Some mainstream medias claimed that they beat the game in 40 hours, I highly doubt that, they either lied, or they just ignored everything and rushing the boss one by one, even that, I don't believe them, there're about 80 bosses, many of them are really hard, it's just physically not possible.
And as of now, nobody has found the 4th ending yet. Heck, I'm not sure if the "secret (going inside mural)" is considered an ending since I've seen some people say that it is not an official ending. But if that's true, we've only found 2/4 of the game's endings.
This chapter blew me away. The zone is MASSIVE. The temple complex was just insanely huge as well. The side quests offered terrific rewards and the fox tying to the chapter 2 cinematic was such a nice surprise
The Macaque Chief is the last "YOU", aka destined one, came there and met Yellow Brow, but not destined enough, so got lured by Yellow Brow. The way YB turned you into it, and put you into that mini world, is how he changed the last destined one into the Macaque Chief, by making it kill all the way and have no more true buddhism in heart, so that became a beast. In that part of the game you could choose to kill all the mini and fight the YB, or you could choose to walk past them and fight the YB, might affect the whole game's ending, not sure.
Remember the spell that lil’ kid wrote on the palm of your hand in the watermelon cave? That’s what you gotta do to beat future bosses like yellow brow! You’d be able to cause damage to them even if they got those gold shields or some shit! Also def go back to that funny whiny old loong on the seashore, bring him his pills and he will show you a new world (Quite literally). I’m currently a chapter ahead of you but I still come back and watch all of your uploads cuz the story is that good and you are that good! Keep it up brother!

59:35 this story seems like the one cutscene in the end of chapter two where a guy saved a fox and it led him to a dream where he lived happily with the female disguised as a fox only for her to eat his kin. He snapped out of that dream which led him to a tough decision to kill the fox and wear its fur. The body could very well from that guy
The dragon you fought in the beginning, Chen Loong, is a side quest actually. U need to craft a pill for him. In return, he will give you something that will open up a new area

The more little monks you kill, the stronger the boss will be. The more you kill, the more you lose your original self. This BOSS is going to make you kill like crazy
Quick Little tip, Charged attacks gain reach and damage from having more focus points. I noticed that since you use them often, it might help you more to invest in them. They also give you back health when consumed, aiding you in combat. In addition, I recommend getting either the thrust-charged attack or upgrading staff stances since they unlock more combos and variations you can use for boss fights where enemies prove quite elusive or have shorter attack windows.- Huge fan Hollow! Keep it up!

So, the thing is, if you choose to kill those monks (like you already did), it will increase Yellow Brow's health and enhance his golden armor, because those monks are actually innocent civilians and they have no health bars (I'm sure you have noticed that). Thus, killing them actually makes YB stronger. And that's why you had such a difficult time fighting him. If you had chosen not to kill those monks, YB would've been a lot easier to take down (together with the Spellbinder). The deep reason behind it lies in the ending anime: YB disguised as a sea monster testing the villagers to prove that humans are born evil and greedy, so he could win the debate with Jinchanzi (Wukong's master), and it also showed that winning really meant so much to him (while a truly enlightened Buddhist shouldn't care that much about winning/losing, so this also shows why he had fallen from a buddhist into a monster, too much ego about winning, he even mumbled "I can't lose" when he was falling into the frozen lake). And here with the transformed MC, YB is doing the same thing as with the villagers: he wants to prove that even the Destined One can be and will be tempted into a merciless killing machine. And that's what he was saying the whole time when you were the transformed MC, nagging your ears off, trying to seduce you into darkness; and you, unfortunately and unconsciously, fell for his trap, ending up proving him right: the Destined One has gone bad, resulting in him gaining more power in the following combat. This design here, is said to have an effect on what ending (good/bad) you are gonna get in the end. Technically, Jinchanzi (Golden Cicada) is not Wukong's master, but a former incarnation. He was supposedly cast into the mortal realm by Buddha for his arrogance (as narrated in the artwork at the end of chapter 1.) His mortal reincarnation was the Tang Monk (Wukong's master), and he was supposed to atone by going through 81 trials on the journey to the West. The burning of the temple by Elder Jinchi was the 11th trial.

I am really glad that many people like this game, The Black myth Wukong is adapted from Journey to the West, this work is widely known in China. So for Chinese people, it is relatively easy for us to understand the plot and enjoy it. But for those who don't know the background, I highly recommend reading the character introductions in the game to help understand the story.
This game is long man. Beautiful, intense, with depth, but LOOONG Found myself skipping to boss battles on here. I can't see myself playing at all 🤣🤣 Someone in chat said it's mostly content creators who are grinding this game. I agree.
I found it silly how they claimed no women were present when they clearly were in the trailer and game. (Guan Yin being an obvious example.) But I'm glad they made everything accurate to the novel and kept Buddhist themes. It's very exciting seeing that. (As someone who is a Buddhist and has read the Jttw novel.)

The last part of Yelow Brow is so hard, bcz after you transform to Macaque Chief(hint that the macaque chief was destine one, but failed), you kill too much, thus give Yellow Brow power.
- Yellow Brow and Jinchanzi are both disciples of the Buddha himself. - One believe that human are born evil, one believe human are born good. - Both of them enters into endless cycles to reincarnate as different beings to descend upon the mortal world. - Jinchanzi reincarnated as the Tang Monk - aka Wukong's master and charge - in Journey to the West. But is not a npc in this game, only shows up in cut scenes. - The kid in blue is (a form of) the Buddha. Those are the only extra info you (probably) need from outside the game. Enjoy!
This is the first game in ages that have many variety of different enemies and boss fights. It's so much fun. I hope the next future God of War game will do the same.

Hey bruh, the spell binder the spell in chapter 3 you received needs a maximum amount of mana and when it implemented, it locks all abilities including transformations, but in return it gives you a high damage martial combat attacks
Hollow you need to go back to the jail where you freed a person by breaking the purple seal. He will give you the best weapon in the game. A freaking spear!
I bought this game on Steam but, haven't played it. Waiting for the 50 series cards this game deserves to be played at 4k high fps without DLSS only the new Nvidia 50 series will achieve that.
In the story, Yellowbrow was one of the few antagonists that Sun Wukong could not defeat directly, and he literally had to request help from Celestia just to make Yellowbrow back down.
Hey man. @HollowPoiint You are missing a lot of things like secret locations, secret bosses, things which are related to different chapters, weapons which can be unlocked by travelling to different chapters, especially the staff upgrades which you are missing bcz the game is all abt using staff in fun way making it very longer and also special moves. Also the water fall in chapter 1 you can go through it only when you defeat a boss in chapter 2 which also can get there by secret passage and also there is a location in chapter 2 also a sand waterfall you can go back into there. You really missed most of the chapter 2 thats why it ended up quickly for you. My suggestion is to play the game and upload the videos by playing the game how it needs to play like jumping between chapters and all and not just like chapter wise play through.

Love your video! Although if you choose to do the early bosses after you almost finish the game, the bosses will be way less challenging , which lose it’s fun. Also most of the bosses were tied up to the chapter story, I always check my journal collections before I enter the next chapter😂

Hollow you unlocked the chu-bai spear and didn’t go and collect it brother go back to the prince you freed from the sealed prison cell and he will give it to you !
First af all i do Appreciate the effort thanks to you for your patience and involvment. This episode was way better than the previous one, I guess that you got some issues during the montage or whatsoever for the last one, but this one resemble way much more from what we get from you. I mean I dotn care if its 4 hour lenght or that you put a bit more time to release, Ill definetly watch all the serie on your channel. But I want them to have that special touch that you ad to them. Thanks again and yeah what a journey, I spend 7 hour in that LEVEL xD as you said thats a game by itself, and I believe that game will still give alots of surprise and ll open even more.

@@HollowPoiint @DionisFerizi As he said they were way much more cuts or unoticed track back that kinda lost me (IMO), also you started pointing smth jumped in smth else then never come back on it. Don't get me wrong the map design is maybe one of the few main weakpoint of the game or at least it is made in a such way that we are not still used to it. So coupled to that and the fact that we don't have a map plus fake walls makes it hard to keep track ( I think also as us as gamers but also as fellow watchers ) and yeah thats why Im not that harsh on it because I think it must be first of all a pain in the ass for you to compile everything plus the astronomous lenght of that I hope I was understandable, Im not native, I learnt english by myself. And thank you again for your work its wholesome, even more than the game, as I said its the work that you put into your episode that I definetly do appreciate. Cheers

I am really glad that many people like this game, The Black myth Wukong is adapted from Journey to the West, this work is widely known in China. So for Chinese people, it is relatively easy for us to understand the plot and enjoy it. But for those who don't know the background, I highly recommend reading the character introductions in the game to help understand the story.

But I'm glad they made everything accurate to the novel and kept Buddhist themes. It's very exciting seeing that. (As someone who is a Buddhist and has read the Jttw novel.)

The last part of Yelow Brow is so hard, bcz after you transform to Macaque Chief(hint that the macaque chief was destine one, but failed), you kill too much, thus give Yellow Brow power.
- Yellow Brow and Jinchanzi are both disciples of the Buddha himself.
- One believe that human are born evil, one believe human are born good.
- Both of them enters into endless cycles to reincarnate as different beings to descend upon the mortal world.
- Jinchanzi reincarnated as the Tang Monk - aka Wukong's master and charge - in Journey to the West. But is not a npc in this game, only shows up in cut scenes.
- The kid in blue is (a form of) the Buddha.

This is the first game in ages that have many variety of different enemies and boss fights. It's so much fun. I hope the next future God of War game will do the same.

Hey bruh, the spell binder the spell in chapter 3 you received needs a maximum amount of mana and when it implemented, it locks all abilities including transformations, but in return it gives you a high damage martial combat attacks

I bought this game on Steam but, haven't played it. Waiting for the 50 series cards this game deserves to be played at 4k high fps without DLSS only the new Nvidia 50 series will achieve that.

In the story, Yellowbrow was one of the few antagonists that Sun Wukong could not defeat directly, and he literally had to request help from Celestia just to make Yellowbrow back down.
The yellowbrow fight is exactly what I wanted to see man. I like when you keep some of the failed attempts 🙏 much respect!

You are missing a lot of things like secret locations, secret bosses, things which are related to different chapters, weapons which can be unlocked by travelling to different chapters, especially the staff upgrades which you are missing bcz the game is all abt using staff in fun way making it very longer and also special moves.
Also the water fall in chapter 1 you can go through it only when you defeat a boss in chapter 2 which also can get there by secret passage and also there is a location in chapter 2 also a sand waterfall you can go back into there.
You really missed most of the chapter 2 thats why it ended up quickly for you.
My suggestion is to play the game and upload the videos by playing the game how it needs to play like jumping between chapters and all and not just like chapter wise play through.

Love your video! Although if you choose to do the early bosses after you almost finish the game, the bosses will be way less challenging , which lose it’s fun. Also most of the bosses were tied up to the chapter story, I always check my journal collections before I enter the next chapter😂

This episode was way better than the previous one, I guess that you got some issues during the montage or whatsoever for the last one, but this one resemble way much more from what we get from you.
I mean I dotn care if its 4 hour lenght or that you put a bit more time to release, Ill definetly watch all the serie on your channel. But I want them to have that special touch that you ad to them.
Thanks again and yeah what a journey, I spend 7 hour in that LEVEL xD as you said thats a game by itself, and I believe that game will still give alots of surprise and ll open even more.

@@HollowPoiint the other one for me had too many cuts that jumped from one place to another and kinda made it hard to follow where on the map you are and what you're doing
@@HollowPoiint @DionisFerizi As he said they were way much more cuts or unoticed track back that kinda lost me (IMO), also you started pointing smth jumped in smth else then never come back on it.
Don't get me wrong the map design is maybe one of the few main weakpoint of the game or at least it is made in a such way that we are not still used to it.
So coupled to that and the fact that we don't have a map plus fake walls makes it hard to keep track ( I think also as us as gamers but also as fellow watchers ) and yeah thats why Im not that harsh on it because I think it must be first of all a pain in the ass for you to compile everything plus the astronomous lenght of that
I hope I was understandable, Im not native, I learnt english by myself.
And thank you again for your work its wholesome, even more than the game, as I said its the work that you put into your episode that I definetly do appreciate.
