Why do all other refugees have just one agency (UNHCR) in the UN while the Palestinians have their own special agency? Why do all children and grandchildren of Palestinian refugees qualify as refugees, even if the family moved to Canada and became citizens of Canada? No other refugee group gets this privilege. Dissolve UNRWA and Hamas, and life will improve for everyone in the Middle East. Just free Palestine from Hamas. That will be good enough.

Now we've got 4th- and 5th-generation Palestinians around the world who claim some sort of "right of return" to a place that they never lived in, and their great-grandparents only moved to during the early 20th century because the British and Jews were creating infrastructure and an economy where none had existed before.
You really do need to do a little research. It really is quite easy.
UNWRA was set up by the UN in 1949 to help ALL refugees (repeat all refugees, including Jews) that were victims of displacement in the area after the 1948. Israel later took on the responsibility for Jewish people displaced.
That it serves Palestinians is pretty obvious because they are the population that IS currently displaced.
That UNWRA has HAMAS sympathisers in its midst is pretty predictable, just as the Police force might have racists, bullies, mysogynists...... when you consider the number of UNWRA employees.
13000 employed but some investigations have found probably about 200 to be HAMAS - or 0.015% hardly a huge number.
The Claim: Citing alleged intelligence estimates, several media have relayed claims that around 10% of all UNRWA staff in Gaza, or about 1,200 people, have links to Hamas or the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
The Facts: UNRWA has not received any information, let alone any evidence, from the Israeli Authorities or any other Member State about the above claim. UNRWA became aware of this claim first from international media and later from a press briefing by an Israeli government official.
And as for most of the other claims, usually by IDF (who lets be honest are pathological liars) these have been refuted or proven wrong. Remember many of those Photographs displayed by the IDF that later proved to be clumsy attempts to smear. I don't doubt HAMAS operatives visit offices of UNWRA in Gaza they probably have family or friends missing or reying on UNWRA's services, but that doesn't make the whole UNWRA set up corrupt in the same manner NOT all Catholics were IRA!
That the IDF claim Tunnels under Hospitals former Prime Minister Ehud Barak stated
“No, no,” Barak replied. “Decades ago, we were running the place so we … helped them to build these bunkers in order to enable more space for the operation of the hospital within the very limited size of this compound.”
Who's to say other buildings were so provided. UNWRA is a UN run organisation and in the fog of war is bound to be compromised by those who wish to fight back!
I don't doubt that when this is all over some aspects of UNWRA will be called into question, but the outrage expressed by Israel was obviously a Heinous and clumsy attempt to stop aid getting to those in need!
And, haven't we seen that before, in their attempts to stop convoys of aid entering Gaza, bombing aid columns that had permission and were KNOWN to be on route. Israel relies on killing first then apologising, mealy mouthed, later!
As for all Palestinians getting refugee status?
And, WHY NOT they have been displaced from their homeland and are therefore Refugees!
" A refugee is someone who has been forced to flee conflict or persecution and has crossed an international border to seek safety. They cannot return to their country without risking their life or freedoms. It is a legal term that carries with it certain protections that refugees are entitled to".
It doesn't matter that they may be the children, or grandchildren, Palestine (as was) was their homeland - in just the way the Jews regard present Israel as their homeland and are allowed to settle. (As long as you are the right type of Jew as witnessed by the pending threat of expulsion of Black Hebrews)
