Parents Sue 30-Year-Old Son to Evict Him From Their New York Home

  • A New York judge has ruled that a 30-year-old man still living at his parents' home must vacate the premises after numerous attempts to get him to leave. Mark and Christina Rotondo tried for months to evict their son, Michael, who did not pay rent or contribute to the household. At Tuesday's hearing, New York State Supreme Court Judge Donald Greenwood sided with the parents. Michael was not happy. "I am just so outraged," he said outside court. #InsideEdition

xxxtentacles 2 I agree with this. However, I don’t think I’d have the heart to do what these parents did. What if he has severe social anxiety or severe depression? I’d get him help, and just let him live at home. He is my son after all.

Sorry to hear that 😞 I lived with my maternal grandparents for 97% of my life (both from birth to 5 months, then again from 7 months to 16 years, just my grandmother from ages 16 to 19, and had my own place since I was 19, but stayed with my grandpap for almost 6 months until he died of alcohol withdrawal-based delirium), where I faced emotional, mental, and physical abuse throughout all that time with them (my grandma was the worst), and my grandma tried to kick me out several times and I didn't want to leave. I am autistic myself and was gonna wind up homeless if I did so yea.
Hope things get better, and yes there should be justice for disabled people, instead we get discriminated against pretty much every day.
That being said, I don't think that this guy in this video is disabled, I think he probably does have some mental health issues. Even then, from what I'm seeing, this guy didn't help his parents with anything and just took advantage of them. I say this because even though I am autistic and have some bad mental issues as a result of being abused, while I don't take care of my place because of said mental issues, if I had to live with a relative, I would go above and beyond to help them out as best I can. It makes me feel better knowing that my family feels better.
      So yea

I know a few people who live with their parents after 30. Different reasons: some married and divorced; others got in a difficult money situation and needed help and etc. But all of them helped at home, got their own money and did the best they can. Most important: they felt bad about that situation. The only guy i know who was in his parents house after a certain age and didn´t seem to bother, has mental health issues and never got a proper help. This guy seems to have something like that too. He is obviously not in his best and has strange reactions... he needs proper help, BUT trying is a first step. Recognize the problem first and then seek help... to keep himself like his, for sure, not good...

Don't apologize. Typo's happen, and it's pretty stupid in my opinion to respond to someone with "corrections". It just reeks of someone with low IQ scores who thinks they just discovered a huge mistake and take pride in pointing out something anyone with at least a bit of common sense just reads over understanding what you wrote in the first place.
But as for your comment, I wouldn't pin this fully on the parents. People don't stop learning or growing when they hit 18. Its ongoing. Sure, raising your kid plants several paths for them to grow into, but it's just that. Paths that you guide your child down. They make their own choices, make their own steps. And often they will differ quite far away from the parents. You can't force your kid to be a certain way. You can't force your kid not to become or to become something. That is something that ultimately lies on the kids shoulders.

Keep an eye out for any homes on the street you live on going up for sale, then you can contact the real estate firm telling them your interested in the home. Then you can continue living independently, just nearby your mom.
After mom fainted a few months ago, almost on a nightly basis. I went to her bedroom door to check on her. Same for my niece.

My brother hardly does chores and pays very very cheap rent. He is a weasel he does the least possible and when he does lift a finger to do anything he acts like my mom should be so thankful. Why do u want to still live with ur parents at 30? My brother stayed with my mom till he was 37, but guess what he's a truck driver now. He chose to freeload off my mother and she got fed up with it. Now, I'm in the process of moving out my mother's house because I refuse to stay with my mom till I'm 30. All I need right now is a job, which is hard as hell to come by where I live. Can't be mad at the parents. yes it maybe harsh, but he need to learn to grow up.

babbij jack I'm in the same position. My town is lacking in the jobs department. My only option is to work in fast food, or go out of town... so I'm looking out of town XD

My brother moved out when he was 32, just cause I said I was gonna be the first to move out of mom’s house. That was just a the teenage me joking and he took that seriously. After a year he moved out and became a truck driver
