One of the best renditions, in poetry, tarrannum and voice; I have heard it many times. Its ghazal by MAKHDOOM MOHIUDDIN, important progressive poet, famous for his ghazals in bollywood films like 'Baazaar' and 'Gaman'.

@@nachiketdaithankar4405 the original was sung by chaya Ganguly. She was a radio artist. The lyrics are a bit different.

first it was originally written mohammed mohniduin and later on faiz ahmed worte in his memory

Thanks Abhay, you are absolutely right, this ghazal was by MAKHDOOM MOHIUDDIN, and Faiz admired him and this poem so much, that he wrote a seperate one in the same behar- as is often done in tribute. I mixed it up. It turns out that Radhika also sang the other one too.
