    I have rarely heared something more emphatic, this is really out of the world and as yet this Widmung of Daniil touches me more than any other interpretation, except Jorge Bolet. What a wonderful artist he is! ♥️

    After the fireworks of Rach 3, Daniil plays Widmung with such tenderness . Sign of a great musician.

    How wonderful of Daniil to come to the Cleveland Institute of Music to enrich his gifts. Such expression and sensitivity from so young a person to say nothing of his complete comfort and mastery of the instrument is breath-taking and heartfelt. Thanks so much for posting.

    A great, selfless public service to play such beautiful music in the tuberculosis ward.

    Look at that sweat. Trifonov must have just gotten through playing the Rach Three. Wonder how he had any strength left to do an encore.

    Daniil sweating hair somewhat distracts viewers from his musical artistry. If only he can sort out his hair, would be brillant. Do we all agree, first impression is important ?

      He now has a beard! I've seen him 12 times in concert in the US (no, I'm not a stalker!). Seeing him twice soon - recital at Carnegie Hall in September and then in October performing his own piano concerto with Mariinsky Orchestra (Gergiev conducting) in my home town of Washington, DC. No musician, of any genre, has "hit" me like this brilliant talent in the past 25 years!

      Grace, the music he produces IS brilliant; your comment is not. I've never felt that sweat from honest hard work to accomplish something detracts from the product. His interpretation matters. Who cares about your first impression?

      tex hammond totally agree with you! His music comes first, all the rest, by the way is a natural reaction to his piano playing. It doesn’t bother me, in fact it’s just unique of him and only him doing what is natural to him. I love everything about him from his music to his personality!!!!!
