John Doe is literally a Alpha testing account by Roblox he did not hack Roblox. everybody was spreading rumors about it because he was, "Never online" And "They are a old Roblox account" It makes me mad that people are just making rumors about it and since he was going to "Hack Roblox" Its just sad to think about it.

If they were real hackers deleting roblox accounts, Roblox would have taken action at the earliest and since lot of players ended up believing this myth back in 2017, Roblox made a blog post speaking about the account "John doe" and "Jane doe"

I am absolutely surprised it's been so many years and yet it felt like 1-2 years! I remember when everyone was so scared of John Doe, man those were the days. I started playing roblox in 2014 and in those day I was just a normal player on roblox having fun and I didn't even know what social media was later on haha.

I've known John Doe by it being a name to use if you want to be anonymous. Ever since I've played roblox since 2016, in 2017 I've known John Doe as a whole new name.

The accounts are really just placeholders/test accounts from when Roblox first released.

I joined in 2015, but quit in late 2016 and picked it back up in October of 2017, so I didn’t know much about the whole thing but my friends did. Apparently somebody bought Robux and changed him account name to John_Doe, and his avatar was John Doe. I didn’t believe him but he showed me the purchase of Robux and his name change and avatar. I still don’t know how it happened since it was 5 years ago, but I definitely don’t think it was John Doe. (Also his mom wouldn’t let him spend any money on games only stuff in real life)

Ya know the John doe thing felt like Herobrine in Minecraft both weren't gonna really hurt you in any way and people thought something bad could happen with them but in the end they both posed no danger at all but since then actually dangerous people started playing these games.

“what if? The John and Jane Doe account, were two people?”
The first; is a Roblox Dev, and the second is a famous RUclipsr. And the reason they did this; was so Roblox could get popular.
You (Kreek) said yourself that people were playing Minecraft more. So this was all a rumor to gain Roblox some traction.
And they cleared it up in the post so they could look fine, and nothing at all.
Now people may counteract this theory; and say, “but there were no hacking incidents!”” And that’s true, but you see, THAT’S IT!
They didn’t want to hack anyone, because they’d lose the players they had if someone got hacked!
