I’ve had a 2004 NB for over 6 years and I can say far and away it is the most fun-to-drive car I have EVER owned. I’ve done various thoughtful upgrades to keep it fun and commute friendly/ready, all of which have only re-affirmed my choice of this car, nearly 100K miles later.

It's an nb1 its the vvt engine it's the vics engine so no variable valve timing ...
oh my mistake, yeah i thought that it was an NB2 but that started the year after. thanks for pointing that out lol
