I live in Jefferson City, Missouri. My sister lives in Rolla, Missouri she quilts. She is teaching me to quilt, I knit, crochet, sew dolls, cross stitch and embroidery. I just ordered some of Lori Holt Christmas stitch cards.
Lora, what is the quilt behind you in this video? I know it is a Lori Holt pattern. What I can see, I love. Congratulations on all your accomplishments. How about an Autumn Love quilt sew along. Thanks for the videos!
The quilt behind me is My Happy Place. I left off the outer borders, so it would fit the space. ruclips.net/user/shortso3LXcpOPOrs Oh... I love Autumn Love soooo much. I completed that one a couple years ago with non-Lori fabrics. But, it would be fabulous in the new Autumn collection!
While I used to do cross stitch, I've chosen to not do it now in lieu of quilting. Maybe when I travel, I could do some more cross stitch. I feel like I just really discovered LH this year and can't possibly catch up fast enough as I have other projects I'm doing!!! And I'm not even doing all those other things you mention on your plate!
I do tend to keep busy. Ha! Lori Holt has a lot of great designs. I started with the quilt she was doing as a quilt a long and then between them, I go back and look and catch up with the older ones as I can. I have a few more to go, yet. I have the simple shapes, though, so I figure I should make the quilt. Ha! Cross stitch is what I do in the evenings, because I can watch TV with my husband and stitch. I sew for a bit after work and on weekends, plus evenings occasionally if he's busy with other things.
You have been busy! Maybe a star in that centre point of the Lori Holt cards? I’m currently stitching Autumn Love, which is behind you and have already used some bad words as I try to figure out the best way to do the border of the squares to get the correct stitch count! Who knew counting was so hard?
HA!! I understand... When I'm stitching long borders or boxes like that, I do half stitches and every 10th stitch I cross for a full X... that way I can easily go back and figure out how many I have done and I only need to count to 10. :) So... my border or line would look like /////////X/////////X when I get enough done, then I go back and cross all the half stitches.
Hey Lora, you did a lot of work the past month. Love the stitching, maybe a little border in the L. Holt stitchcards. The quilts are beautiful, the colors pop so nicely love them all. Your Houses on Pumpkin Lane are beautiful, hey it's done when it's done right ? I wanted to make the Quilted Snowman, but here in Canada I cannot find the sew simple shapes under 60.00$ canadian. Even ordering from Fat Quarter Shop it comes to about the same with the shipping and exchange. Oh I forgot to tell you I finish last friday The Home Town Holiday Sampler. It was so fast to stitch I was suprised to have done it so quickly. So until thursday for another part of the sew along. Have a good day tomorrow.
@@lorabrinkman The hometown stitch letters where so fast to stitch. I was a bit worried at first that it would take for ever. I don't think I ever stitched a piece so quickly.

Hey Lora you could add the 2 stitch all through the middle of each row and maybe add a star in the very middle
That would look good... I do think it needs something in that space...
