I love all the stories but this has got to be one of the BEST stories you have posted. It's so awesome to hear his story and how he hustled and strived to make a name for himself.

As a former employee of the largest Peterbilt dealership I would like to thank you, because I could tell you exactly when the timeline of your consult was by the decreased warranty paint claims in brand new trucks, our body shop managers may disagree because of lost revenue in paint correction claims but our customers were way more satisfied than previously when we'd have to cut and buff complete trucks before they would take delivery.

*everything happens for a reason, you are put in certain situations in your life and you can either take that leap or watch the opportunities fly by....this man took his leap and reaped the rewards! awesome stuff man!!*
Before Covid hit, I used to to the same kind of Job for several German car manufacturers at carshows all over the world. Always had to be on call to be able to catch the next flight when there was an ussue somewhere. That's what made it interesting. But getting payed 25k for one night of work unimaginable.
I've detailed alot of crazy shit but 4 trucks in a shift must've been nuts...I once did 2 boats in that time but nowhere near that price...salute that guy
As a detailer.... I love these videos. This is the epitome of what everyone wants the opportunity to do. I’ve had many many great, unique opportunities in my career, but none like this. Awesome story!
There’s a huge market for that kind of consulting in the private/corporate aviation industry for their paint departments. If your product is good enough for those semis I imagine it would work really well on aviation grade high solids. Might be worth looking into.
I actually can relate to this in a much smaller scale. People who gets into any kind of business gets better results when being paid on what they know. Knowing the market, knowing where to get supply, knowing where to start, etc is how someone starts a business. I'm in my second semester of college now and going to start a mechanical keyboard parts business and what I have more than other people is simply knowledge on what materials to use, where do I get parts laser cut, how to make custom vector designs, etc. Before that I also hustled buying and selling keyboard stuff to flip after use for a profit to fund my hobby. Hopefully after lebaran holiday here finishes I can start producing prototypes of my product
One of the best Vinwiki interviews in quite a while. Do more of these. Do less of the, "I bought a Ford GT Carbon as a daily driver while my Veyron was being built" type.
So glad I watched this till the end. I've always said that there are only two ways to become wealthy in this world. 1) Do something no one else WANTS to do or 2) Do something no one else CAN do. Same philosophy.

I love a good story of "I worked really hard for a long time and then an opportunity came along and I was ready."
"It took only 10 years to become an instant success." :D
This guy is such a badass. The "Get paid for what you know, rather than what you do", is going to sit with me forever.
Learned that years ago from an engineer. It has served me well so far
