My friend built a 1946 power wagon with a 1971 426 hemi and 2-1/2 ton military axles and six Cadillac mufflers on it. It sounded like a six banger when it roared up steep 100 foot near vertical climbs an launched 15 feet in the air. He had a bench seat mounted against the tailgate with five point harnesses for three! What a ride that was!
This is like the third time I've watched this episode. there's something so cool about taking a stock Dodge and making it completely stealth. Almost like something a high-tech military would do to it. plus the way this dude tells the story is really cool as well.
Yeah this is definitely a great story from one of the best story tellers on Vinwiki...i hope to run into him at C&O soon. I used to live in Athens and i think we may know some of the same people.
Amazing that a story about buying a truck can be as interesting as this. This guy should be famous - he's made to be on TV. Could feel the awesomeness of the truck just through his storytelling. I watched this whole video for details about it's border runner background, but hearing him enthusiastically telling the story about buying it was just as good lol
Geez, 700 HP(maybe wheel HP, in order to run 12s in the 1/4) and frickin' 1570 Nm, that's just mad. I envy his luck, such a great find. And he's one of the top storytellers on this channel.

My bet is that it was a key to the drop location of the drugs at some shady motel. The owners never rented out the room and knew what was going on so there was no need to keep the room number on the key for the feds to track down if they got caught.

LEO: "I'm pulling you over for your tints."
You: "Feds sold it to me as is."
Dude. You dont understand what he is saying? He fell in love with dodge trucks in 1999. And the 2006 dodge filled that void.
Did you even listen to the video?
Haha I get this joke. I just watched that video
Did he stutter?
My friend built a 1946 power wagon with a 1971 426 hemi and 2-1/2 ton military axles and six Cadillac mufflers on it. It sounded like a six banger when it roared up steep 100 foot near vertical climbs an launched 15 feet in the air. He had a bench seat mounted against the tailgate with five point harnesses for three! What a ride that was!
I can actually hear the Cummins diesel when he describes anything he does in the truck.
Happy Monday everyone!
Good morning Ed have a good day!!
Just turned Tuesday here
Good morning from Minnesota!
@@yesno.idontknow.587 Hey same here, north or south
Nothing happy about a Monday...unless your retired maybe 🤣
I’m from Laredo and I swear I’ve seen that truck in town before
Bruh 💀😳
Pretty recently or waay back ago?
Laredo? Sounds like some sort of Jeep badge
@@Joddyjohn5👀👀👀
Yes it was caught with marijuana in Laredo Texas MY HOME TOWN!! Caught around penitas ranch !!!
Best story of this generation, and the best story teller ever.
This guy is getting up there with ed , rabbit and doug for being my favorite vinwiki story tellers
"I completely modified this truck" camera cuts to a picture of a cat sitting on the tire.
His mods were He deleted the cat from the truck he just set it on the tire to show us it was removed
does your truck have a cat mod ??? lol
That pic was before the cat delete.
This is like the third time I've watched this episode. there's something so cool about taking a stock Dodge and making it completely stealth.
Almost like something a high-tech military would do to it.
plus the way this dude tells the story is really cool as well.
This guy thinks he's super cool... The twist here is that he IS actually that cool... Crazy
One in a million lol
he was cooler with short hair
Yeah this is definitely a great story from one of the best story tellers on Vinwiki...i hope to run into him at C&O soon. I used to live in Athens and i think we may know some of the same people.
He loves trucks!
@T G the hyper drive guy I think just really wanted people to like him. Just seemed like he had more money than sense lol
This guy is a fantastic storyteller. I usually don't care too much about cars and trucks, but I was glued to the screen for the full 18 minutes.
“Menacing in the daylight..”
such a good line
"Frame damage looks like it had been dropped out of an airplane" XD
that truck is straight up menacing. I almost wanna say i need it....
That guitar sculpture is awesome
He’s an excellent story teller,I just couldn’t stop listening to this guy, he could keep taking for 10 more hours, and I wouldn’t go anywhere 👍🏼
Thank you for the kind words Hector. Happy New Year!
I have a hard time watching videos that are 20 minutes or longer cause I just kind of get bored of them but I could listen to this guy telling stories for hours. Very good storyteller and interesting to listen to. Badass truck also 🤘
Me too.
Kind of like anything from 8 - 15 minutes but was glued start to finish...
This guy is a hell of a storyteller. Captured my attention for 18 mins straight
You aren't kidding my ADD was gone and I was strapped in.
Didn’t even notice it was 18 minutes
@@TheGozzila He should do books on cd, perfect inflection with that slight southern edge. He could be the next Dick Estell from Univ of Michigan fame who was on PBS radio for years. Want to hear the master check him out, unfortunatly he passed a few years back.
“I drove that truck through the side windows as much as I did the front”
Hahah I love it
So....what was with the hotel key? I totally thought it was going to be for a secret compartment or something like that.
Same here. Everyone is talking about what a great storyteller this guy is -- and he can tell a good story -- but I'm still waiting to find out where the secret compartment is. Did I miss it?
Yeah. Please tell us the hotel tag story! I’m guessing it’s a story not to be told? Hopefully this man found a pot of gold
Yeah come on!!
My bet is that it was a key to the drop location of the drugs at some shady motel. The owners never rented out the room and knew what was going on so there was no need to keep the room number on the key for the feds to track down if they got caught.
Yeah maybe there’s a hotel room with a satchel full of money in the air conditioning vent. 😁
Please, I mean PLEASE... film the road trip he mentions going from terra del fuego.
I'll try
Loved the story, I could feel the excitement of wanting to get the deal before they found out what kind of engine was in it.
Definitely moved to the top story teller! He’s too cool.
He reminds me of the type of guy who always has awesome shit and living the life but has no obvious source of income or job lol
A drug dealer?😂
Unfortunately, that's the life of most artists. Hopefully, this video gets him some business because he seems like a cool and motivated individual that would do well if he can get his name out there.
That guitar'll be in some museum someday and along with an antique RUclips player with this video on permanent play.
@@texchu8331 how is it unfortunate that he "has awesome shit and is always living the life"
I'm jealous. My blue collar ass has no cool shit. Just a few nice things. Sucks being single I guess
I could listen to this guy all day long he has an amazing story telling ability he really captured my attention.
You shouldve talked to that dude that said “I would’ve thought you were this drug smuggler my sister used to date”🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
I get why he would play it safe, if I was in his place I would avoid that drama at all costs
How could you leave the "my sister dated a drug dealer" guy without getting some more info?? 16:47
He probably didn't want to get too close to the original owner. The original owner might want that truck back, or just be upset with the whole situation, so it is best to just keep your distance.
I wouldn’t have been able to leave that one alone. I would HAVE to know, especially now being halfway around the country from where it was... damn
@@snoopdogie187 i think the owner was the doctor pepper. We will never know..
Guys like that you stay away from, a truck that big and powerful, they don’t give it up willingly and would probably want it. Also drug smugglers are just people you wanna stay away from to begin with
If this were Ed's truck (not that these kinds of things are Ed's cup of tea), he would have chased that drug dealer down just for the story.
This dude is BY FAR the BEST story teller you've ever had on your page! Definitely need some more stories from him!
The way he talks about this thing , I’d say the interior has a few added stains after he took possession of it 😂
The title is what drew me here and am glad it did - this guy is One Hell of a Story Teller. And All bout a Big Black TRUCK! Loved it
uploaded 2 years ago and despite all the excellent content since then, this is still my favorite story on this channel.
This guy is my favorite. He's a better storyteller than Rabbit or even Ed.
Blasphemy
He’s very vivid for sure
I don’t know, I still like Ed the most. Chris is definitely a masterful story teller though, that much is true.
I know this guy is the man, Rabbit and ed are greats as well and this man slots with them with his own touch of comedy
One of the best stories I've ever heard in my life!!! You KNOW a story is GOOD when you imagine everything that the story teller is saying, then swear you watched a good short film or was actually there!!!
Damn buddy has done every type of racing that u can imagine 😂 this is a great bar story
This guy just got 1000x cooler with his drug smuggler Ram like holy cow this is now my dream truck.
Great story....mysterious. Wish this guy had more story's. I was intrigued the whole way through.
Man, what a truck! 1100 ft lbs of torque, 670 hp, all black smuggler truck. That's like some prohibition era hot rod stuff. Amazing story Chris, you're damn good at talking!
So sick
Looks like he fell face first into a tackle box.
Great story.
Good one dad
🤣🤣 never heard that one before! Good 1.
Looks like you fell face first into an ugly box. This was a great story!

I don't even like trucks but man, can this guy weave a story!!! I was rooting for him all through it. Great story teller... And the pictures to prove it!!!
17:56 minutes of awesome story telling, then Ed lol. Gotta keep those sponsors happy! Cheers! Zip~
I'd totally watch a series from this guy on driving from Tierra del Fuego to Prudhoe Bay!
One of the best story tellers I've come across in a long time. He needs a TV show! Seriously! Someone sign him!
I met this dude in Georgia at Caffeine and Octane or something like that, yeah was very nice truck
They say Texas too. But I met him in Georgia too. I worked at a property he was at. Kept seeing the truck but not him. I finally saw him and talked about the truck. He's interesting in real life, lol.
This is one of the best stories on the page.
“I drove that truck as much through the side windows as I did the front.” Absolute classic.
12:40 For anyone who wants to rewatch that part. Actual quote is from 13:09.
This guy is a great storyteller! I felt like I was there along with him.
*talks about driving at 130mph*
"I drive this truck super careful"
130 ain't nothin if you've ever owned a fast car or sport bike for a few years..
Dodge rams handle pretty damn well my 01 5.9 cummins is cozy and controlled at 120 mph and likes cruizing at 100
@@freedom24v86 Nice! I think this dude's is sick!
@@freedom24v86 idk about that. Tried that stunt of nearing 100 in my Ram and it felt like it was gonna lift off or roll
@@AIDAHAR210 im 2wd 😂
But what year ram 4wd or 2wd? Lifted etc?
Cause that sounds weird mine only feels like its going to roll if im going 95 through some of the corners on my way home
Otherwise 30-40 mph corners i cruise at 65 through that road
Had a Power Wagon (360cu, 4sp, 6in lift) back in the 70's Man I loved that truck. Great story you had, thanks for telling, brings back memories of a time too easily forgotten.
Christopher: If your mechanic was also a roady with Motorhead.
Christopher’s stories are always outlaw gotta love it. It’s a small world!
My wife and I met Chris and his GF about nine years ago on the Outer Banks of NC, we were on our honeymoon and this dude backs this truck in to a hole in the wall breakfast joint and I flip my lid and politely ask about the RTT and we get to chatting! He is the sole reason we have had a 100 series LC and visit Ocracoke Island almost twice a year! Stay great Chris!!!
Oh my God this is one of the coolest car stories ever. Thank you so much for sharing, man. I loved the Pulp Fiction reference.
Love this guys stories man, always has crazy stuff to say that just attracts my attention lol
I think a prerequisite to being on this channel is to be a top notch story teller. This guy killed it
He looks so different without his beard
Covid19 mask shave
Hi Ramen, this is Christopher and I love your screen name. The beard was keeping my mask from fitting so it had to go for now.
I know right, he looks like a beardless version of his former self
