Effen sweet! I totally remember me and my sister singing tomorrow's child on the way back home in the car. The grandparents lived in cocoa beach. I'm 40 effen years old
I too went in 1988 atvtyatbtime for first time Bernard! Though I also enjoyed the Jeremy Irons version in 94, I remember being struck by the significant change and my family and I were a little disappointed that Tomorrow's Child etc had gone! Great attraction though! ☺
that ladies and gentlemen our time travels have been momentarily delayed please remain seated ur time machine vehicle will begin moving again at any moment please remain seated we'll resume our journey shortly thank you is used with judy dench and Jeremy irons did they use it for walter cronkite also
I can’t remember if I barley remember this version as a kid or if I imagined I heard it. I feel like there were a few years when I was little that they had it. I didn’t realize at all though that the girl who introduces him is Nicole Jaff, who played Velma in some of the Scooby Doo movies. And Heather Graham North played Daphne. I might have their names mixed up actually.
the judy dench version dosent say the theater is born instead saying established public schools and birth of a high tech life we enjoy today does she mean like theater technology
have to say after hearing all 3 narrators, WC is a distant 2nd or 3rd behind Jeremy Irons. Irons puts great drama into it, WC sounds like a computer voice, no emotion at all...
The Irons version was extraordinary and probably the greatest version ever. Cronkite is interesting because of his whole career as America's most trusted news reporter, but that Jeremy Irons' voice was absolutely perfect.
I will play this entire audio on my headphones when I ride on Spaceship Earth now. It's amazing how it fits too.
Perfection 🎶🎶🎶🎶nothing like the 80’s ,90’s Epcot needs it’s magic back.
If Chapek has its way, we will NEVER have it.
That sweeping majestic beginning of "Tomorrow's Child" as your vehicle reached the top of the sphere and began to rotate really was magical.
Boy, this brings back SUPER HAPPY memories.
This was the best version. Cronkite’s narration and Tomorrow’s Child
I play Tomorrow's Child on my phone whenever I'm on Spaceship Earth going backwards now.
Citizen of Corona I love you for that. I'm bringing a boom box next time.

This is how I remember it from my first time to Epcot in April of 1988. I rode it in April of 2016 also. I miss this original version.
Bernard Esposito I first rode it in 1991. I miss this version.

I also miss the original version with Walter Cronkite.
My first was Nov. 1992. Never forgot it! First park: Epcot. First attraction: Spaceship Earth!
Me too! I went here in the Summer of '88.
Thank you for sharing this!!! Memories!!
Walter Cronkite is the twentieth century father of narration. Always will be.
And that's the way it is.
Mr. Cronkite was the best SSE narrator and Tomorrow's Child is a beloved favorite
No way! By far Jeremy Irons version is the BEST!!! Cronkite's voice is so flat and unemotional.
RIP Walter Cronkite!

I remember hearing this version of spaceship earth on my first trip to epcot in June of 1988 and it was awesome.

I miss Walter Cronkite on cbs news RIP Mr Cronkite
"Extra! Extra! New York Daily!"
Thank you for posting this!
"For EONS..."
It is a real shame nobody can find the raw audio from this :(
Fun fact: The audio for this was recorded in 1992 or 1993.
or 94
or 94
1987
No it wasn't
For eons.......
It looks like Captain Neweyes narrating in the Spaceship Earth
Walter Cronkite was the voice of Captain Neweyes in We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story
Kiefer Sutherland should be the next narrator after the Judi Dench version is updated!
What good is it without video?
the judy dench version dosent say the theater is born instead saying established public schools and birth of a high tech life we enjoy today does she mean like theater technology
They changed the scene
why does cronkite sound like ben franklin
Who narrated it in 1989 when I was there?
Walter Cronkite

The hypothetical best version would be Irons's narration over the Cronkite-era soundtrack IMO.
4 narrators; Larry Dobkin (1982-1986), Walter Cronkite(1986-1994), Jeremy Irons(1994-2007), and Judi Dench (2008-Present)
I wholeheartedly agree. The Jeremy Irons version is easily the best narrated
Judi Dench does a great job narrating but I think her narration is robbed by the script being extremely dumbed down.
