My dad and I had this happen in the middle of a giant lake in a small John boat and the motor died. 😅 I lost one of the oars when a big wave almost flipped us. Took probably two hours to get to shore 😅
Same reason a boat would want 2 screen, but it is want more then a need lol, just help break down the water faster instead of having to switch from back and forth from screen to screen
@pxfishing no one is fishing from the back of the kayak, nor is it going at a high rate of speed in shallow water. I do understand the whole want and need thing, though.
@@MAquiNAroJA12 I would love a boat, but as kayak tournament angler, I’ll stick with the kayak for now. Yes, that is a trolling motor as well, it a rare occasion, even boat can sink as well
@ or a hoagie. Get the foot pedals. I was in the navy bro I only tell you from a place of safety and experience. The water, lake or sea is nothing to mess with during a storm. Glad you’re ok.
So maybe you should have been pumping out at sea when the waves went crashing into the kayaks and I don’t even go out until there 6 to 10 foot waves on my paddle board and I’m standing up so not sure what was scary here
@@justinplaysguitar I would had been screw if I was out in the middle at that point, there are a few different factors why the kayak almost flipped and sink, just glad it all play out the way it did, could have been worse
You want a cookie? Make a video or it didn’t happen. At least OP has the balls to show when things go sideways instead of talking out their ass on RUclips.
The weather changes quick in the mountains, but not quick enough that you can't see it changing. And it happens every week. So this was negligence.
Man I would have headed for the nearest shore as soon as I saw clouds moving because we all know that heavy winds are what moves clouds..
shoulda come in after a half hour
Heave too...heave too
How did all that water get in the hull? (Also gj making this into a short, this bad boy should rake in some views)
Hatch lid, wires hole inside,
How was the fishing though?
@@kaydencetackle6582 I caught 1 small bass before that happen
@pxfishing I'm glad you're are ok. That sucks but you'll always have a good story.
@ it was intense l experience, now I have to rethink how my kayak is set up, but I’m glad everything played out the way it did could have been worse

@@cjwojoe that must’ve been a crazy experience as well, glad the oar is the only thing you lost
That motor got it good
Took a beating
That looks a whole lot like Castaic lake.
This is pine flat
That’s terrifying…thanks for sharing
Yes it was
You are not a true diehard fisherman until you have been caught in some seriously sketchy weather🤔😳😂😂😂😂been there done that😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Close one. Definitely sucks dunking in that 🥶
Damn, can’t show my wife this. She will never let me get on another kayak
Glad you made it out there. Mother Nature likes to remind us who’s the real boss.
It is a rare incident
Why do you need 2 screens on a kayak?

My man, this is why you get a boat for all that heavy ass equipment. Was that a trolling motor too??

Wingnut simply get on shore ahead and why play with gadgets when you should've pulled the kayak up the bank away from waves

That's why they make boats! That's not a boat!
Boat sink too 😆
