Bandmaid's traditional rock sounds and tones with their unpredictable arrangements are so great.

I love the full “angry pigeon” mode Miku is in at the beginning of the song! So much fun this song always is! And the great sustain distortion on Kanami’s guitar as she goes into the solo - sweet! These ladies always give the crowd their money’s worth - I gotta land some tickets!! Rock On 🤘🏼

@4:20 Misa was interacting with Saiki because Saiki had lost her shoes and as you know Misa never wears shoes so they were joking about it.

There are many unique aspects to Real Existence that sets it apart from many rock songs: the starts and stops, Miku's little breakout vocal line, Akane's double tempo gallop, and Kamani's solo. I mean, who would ever put that kind of solo in a rock song? But it works... just like all of the plot-twists, complex density, and genre-merging they employ on most of their material.
Every section offers something different than the previous one. That's one reason many people -- unless you're a musician - may find it difficult or even hard to get into their music at first listen. There's so much going on. And then you add the Japanese language and maid outfits... But for people who like and appreciate their writing, musicianship, performance and personalities, Band-Maid's beautiful cacophony of excellence offers unlimited rewards for repeat listening... and mega stardom for the Maids, imxo. GO 2022 USA TOUR! Thx, Graig!

I'm lucky enough that I'm going of see them in October. It's an eight hour drive but it's going to be completely worth it. These ladies are my favorite band now.

Relatively new? They have 7 albums from 2014 to now. Their early stuff was more pop-punk in style and gradually got heavier. I adore their early sound but as a starter I would go for their latest album 'Unseen World' released January 2021. They have a new EP out September.
Have you checked out Band-Maiko yet?

@@CRAIGREACTS Ok here's thing, if you accept is up to you, because it is a surprise. React to Band-Maid 'Secret My Lips' FIRST (banging tune btw) then do Band-Maiko 'Secret Maiko Lips' - do both together - and prepare for a jaw dropping experience. Don't do any research. See you there hopefully! Cheers!

@@Davey-Boyd Prefer the Band-Maiko version. I believe that it has more of a feel of what the song is about. Still waiting for them to release the rest of the album on itunes unfortunately. Can only get "Secret Maiko Lips" where I am at.

I can't wait to see these women live in Nov!! OK, here's a recommendation. "Secret My Lips" the official video, and then follow up with Band-Maiko "Secret Maiko Lips" Guarantee you'll love them. And funny, I just commented in your last video about physical copies of Band-Maid albums. They are out there, but they are becoming harder to find and more expensive as time goes on. Get them while you can. I know I'm working on my collection, funds permitting.

For album recommendations, if you liked the progressive sound of No God then Unseen World would be the album to get, it is a masterpiece. If you like old school rock then I would suggest the album New Beginning.

If you are interested in classic albums then Jethro Tull's THICK AS A BRICK is worth checking. It's one song which is 43 minutes long split between 2 sides of the record. I bought it when it came out in 1972 and still have it.
JETHRO TULL - THICK AS A BRICK (Pt.1&2) - FULL ALBUM [HD] ruclips.net/video/X15PsqN0DHc/видео.html There is a shorter version-6:44-,I assume for radio play:
    ruclips.net/video/u9bk2MrMGaA/видео.html
It's one of those unique albums in music history. Another one is TOMMY by The Who. Ian Anderson leads Tull and is a very interesting fellow, not lulled in to drugs and infidelity.
Anyway,I'm enjoying your reviews; that's why I subscribed and will remain so as long as you continue to review Band-Maid songs.
