@@lad4830 respectfully as a player since 2014 I completely disagree. Dust2 was the heart of CSGO, and maybe just map making in general. It was removed from the map pool twice, mirage has never been removed from the map pool. Not to mention, collectively as a community, we realized Dust 2 is not a highly competitive and enjoyable experience. It’s great for DM, retakes, and casual game modes. Valve listened and adjusted things accordingly. Dust 2 has its place, it’s inspired the landscape for map making not just in CS but over the course of all FPS games. If 1. VALVE and 2. COMMUNITY collectively came to the conclusion it’s time to move on in Global Offensive, there is zero point to go backwards AT ALL in CS2. They sold CS2 on Overpass and it’s a joke to take it out so quickly. Also to compare Mirage to Dust: no matter how much people might hate mirage, it is one of the most balanced maps ever made. Dust 2 does not compare in a million MULTIVERSES. There hasn’t been another map as balanced as Mirage besides maybe Cache? Maybe.

@@hexdex3544 after big updates like these I usually check and update my autoexec to not have outdated commands and I noticed bob was no longer available. same for the viewmodel, the most common preset used was called viewmodel_presetpos 3 (aka. "desktop"); BUT this one no longer works, now it replaced 1 instead which used to be called "couch". so make sure to update your autoexec with viewmodel_presetpos 1 if you're one of many that used the desktop preset
I was really in shock when I saw that overpass was the one who got removed from map pool instead of vertigo or inferno. Sure inferno did suck in cs2, I'm curious to see how these changes on inferno will change the playstyle. I already found 1 interesting flash lineup and smoke lineup for like long cuz those tall buildings are removed, but still it makes no sense to remove overpass cuz it's decent map compared to some others in curent map pool. Also I didn't know about different version of dust 2 in china so it makes sense I guess 6:12 that's the only part of the update I'm confused the most cuz I don't see it anywhere on the menu and neither near demos. I guess that's probably cuz I'm unranked curently. Sure I was supreme in csgo and I remember you needed to have like 100 wins and be gold nova 1 minimum to be able to get overwatch and then watch demos from cheaters so I gueas they implemented something like that for cs2 now.
On the flipside, maybe removing Overpass BECAUSE it's a very decent and 'complete' map is the only sensible thing to do. It's basically 'done' and ready for competitive so they include the other maps such as Inferno still to change them and continue to test those changes in the community so that eventually every map in the pool will be 'ready'.

Implementing left/righthand and even using this as a game mechanic is great, fixing bob is nice, removing the overhangs on banana/mid inferno is good, hope overwatch will do something against cheater not like the end of csgo. Also anyone already has overwatch? I only played a hand full of matches and have no rank so I guess I don't have it. Are the requirements the same as before? Only thing I don't like is that overpass is gone. I'd like to see tuscan back and vertigo removed. Also I love the xm and the nerf is a bit sad but at the same time I love the cz and like the buff.

I think the dust 2 map swap is lazy bs. The last thing I expected to happen, because I never thought it would, because why would they... instead of any other preexisting map. And why remove overpass, that they spent time remodeling? Train was shown in the original trailer. You can't say if they didn't try, it wouldn't be ready yet, when it appeared to be a simple remaster like Vertigo. They could be overhauling the map, which would be great, but I've lost hope at this point

I'm really baffled by this one. Other than that, I was hoping for an Overwatch icon to show up, but apparently it's not like it was in CSGO. Which is weird, but let's wait and see.
That's true, they did a huge and beautiful job for Overpass in cs2 and they delete it o_O mirage an nuke are really the errors in this map pool, they're old with no changes. We need cbble, train, tuscan and cache minimum . I think inferno will be deleted one day for other new map too

This is a bomb update! Can’t wait to see the next ones! This game is going to be so much better in a few years. Really really hope they can get the anticheat to work as intended in the near future. For now, even If I hate faceit… im going to play there until the anticheat is somewhat relevant.
The annoying thing is that playing with friends in offline mode still is kinda broken. It won't let you do it unless you have played online and then you can until you switch game modes

I honestly hate the grenade crosshair thingy. I have my own keybind to toggle long crosshair lines whenever I want to use it. But this update doesn't use toggle. It's using timer which is honestly i hate it.
Yes, CrossFire is just more like counter strike-ish but kinda pay to win game.. They have their "Dust 2" Map from the actual CS. It is a big playerbase mostly in China and Southeast asia most specifically the Philippines because of game friendly for most of low end PCs and pay to win skins..
Ya happened to me today as well. I bought gloves and they wouldn't show up in game . I got it to fix by verifying game files and in steam settings under downloads deleting cache . But delete cache first then verify integrity of files . And cs2 started alt tabbing to desktop randomly and would crash and is still happening to me as well

Totally agree Over watch is over rated, 90% can't tell a legit player from a aimboter, don't understand when a waller is faking, and they see good skins, then "oh he must be legit", and the cheaters who do Overwatch cases will not condem them. Players should go a test to be able to do Overwatch.

It's not game breaking but It was cool when u could see the stattrak kills without needing to inspect the weapon idk why they removed it
