I was actually there that evening! I took my Grandmother (RIP), big sister (RIP), my niece, her boyfriend and sister's mother-n-law! It was a magical night! Luther Vandross (RIP) also sang with Patti that night. Floetry and Celia Cruz (RIP) were supposed to be there as well but couldn't! I will never forget that night!!

It was light hearted and fun as the lyrics suggest. I love both women and watching their display of love for each other was legend all by itself! Awesome video!

Patti can out sing Mariah any day, then and much more now. The classic divas just have it! And i'm not saying Mariah cannot sing bec she can, ok
Patti can't belt anymore since 2015ish (understandable given her age). But I agree, she's the more powerful singer. Mariah is a different kind of singer altogether though, she's delicate/intricate and tone based, whereas Patti was at her best singing loud and powerful. They will both be recognised as unique and legendary.
