The `Conte`and `Rex`were both such beautiful ships. To travel on either across the Atlantic would be a journey of a lifetime. Not so today on some oversized, over crowded and kitschy condo masquerading as a ship.
The Conte di Savoia and the Rex were not intended to sail as fleetmates under the same company flag but the two liners made an excellent pair.---I noticed how large the swimming pools were on both of the liners. In photographs taken aboard other liners many of the pools have been so small that I wouldn't think there was much enjoyment in using them but the pools on these Italian liners were big enough and deep enough to be used and enjoyed.
The CONTE DI SAVOIA was a better looking ship both inside and out, than the Rex. The only incongruity with the CONTE DI SAVOIA was the First Class lounge, which was completely out of step with the rest of the ship, and rather garish.
The Conte Di Savoia was a very beautiful Liner. Such beautiful rooms! Look at That!
Tyler Frederick i prefer Rex interiors but don't offend it, like most old fashioned style interiors, but Conte di Savoia had some good ones
@@bibliotecadoeric9546 Rex had a better Lido . But the Conte had far better modern decoration , part of it by antonio Gustavo Pulitzer .

Belíssimo navio👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇧🇷
My aunt crossed the Atlantic from Europe to New York in 1940 on the Conte Di Savoia.
Also my mother February 1940.
Queste erano navi. Non quelle scatole da scarpe che fanno oggi
la grande classe
