    Julian, I love how you teach/coach. You break down the swing so thoroughly yet with ease and fluidity. Keep it up.

    Julian! I join in with one of your other subscribers on your simplistic golf techniques! All you're basically doing is turning the body back and then turning it through! No emphasis on starting the lower body and then the upper body, etc. Definitely a better way for the average amateur! Good Job as always Julian!

    Excellent 3 videos which will be worth saving.
    Posture video should really help if you ever need to grip lower on the club to reduce distance you want to achieve.
    I only wish I had started Julian's way when I first started playing golf.
    I was unable to comment on earlier videos when they first came out.
    Thank you Julian.

    Thank you for explaining the
    Parts of the golf swing sir. This is the best training and explanation I have found on RUclips with all it's golfing videos for learning how to golf. You sir are in an elite teaching class. Thanks again.

    Enjoy your videos. I noticed your left foot spins outwards on the downswing. Appears to reset when you put the left heel down. Correct??

    • @JulianMellor
      @JulianMellor  2 года назад +2

      That’s correct, it all happens very naturally David

    Solid fundamentals. Been playing 30+ years and never seen this drill. Outstanding!! Well done.

    I have been trying this move , where your back is more or less facing the target. I must admit when I first tried it , it seemed I was not in control, but I have persisted and it is at last working. I absolutely love this full turn now. And it’s showing great results. But it takes time. I have been practicing for quite a long time. An avid follower of you Julian.

      @@JulianMellor you do an excellent job of communicating exactly that

  • @Chosil
    @Chosil 2 года назад +2

    Dear Julian, is standing with (at least a bit) open hips a topic for you or is the swing thought all turns together? Also, hands a bit forward at impact, that’s not what you deem relevant? Just to understand it right.

    • @JulianMellor
      @JulianMellor  2 года назад +1

      We all need to feel and work with what’s best for ourselves. I’ve found that deliberately trying to create shaft lean causes all sorts of problems so not really important in my book

    Love it. Wish I could do it. Seems like it focuses too much on your shoulders and ruins the sequence. Still like it, though,

      Not really Ben, I coordinated body movement that’s all

  • @dFos67
    @dFos67 2 года назад +1

    Yes, I get it, the head needs to turn. But does the head needs to stay in the same place when weight transfers, or it has to move forward..?

    • @JulianMellor
      @JulianMellor  2 года назад +1

      I like the head to follow the ball as soon as it’s struck

    Do you trigger the forward turn and downswing by dropping the lead heel?

    • @JulianMellor
      @JulianMellor  2 месяца назад

      That’s certainly one way for sure

  • @jimgift8107

    What happens if you tend to turn your shoulders too level going back?

    • @JulianMellor
      @JulianMellor  Год назад

      I can cause your backswing to go too flat and makes it easier to thin your shots. Remember the shoulder work around the spine angle that’s created at address 👍

    Forget about body movement and positions, you do not use them in any other activity. Have a soft grip, flexible wrists, feel the clubhead and swing it and have the low point with the driver in the middle of your stance and 4 inches after the ball with the irons.

    • @JulianMellor

    Julian, I don't slice, anything but. I have a good grip, I'm getting into the proper backswing position at 45 and to the top, but I'm having two problems, I'm been fighting hitting all my irons almost on the hosel for about 4 years and I'm still fighting following through in the old reverse C position and hurting my lower back, which I have already had surgery on once. I'm matching the club on the follow through but my back is too bowed. Where am I off?

      Hi Jim. Good to hear from you. How about you send me a video of your swing so I can see what’s happening? My email is julian@propergolfing.com if you send a face on and down the line I can check properly 👍
