2019 -2022 Silverado / Sierra - Seat Memory Bypass Harness - harnessdr.com/...
In this video, I show how to install higher trim seats that came from a 2019 - 2022 Silverado High Country/LTZ, Sierra Denali/SLT into your base model 2019 -2022 Sierra / Silverado truck. At this time, heated/cooled cannot be retrofitted.
NOTE: Separate videos will be made to add the power pins to the floor side connectors for both driver and passenger seats.
Thanks Harness Doctor! I received my memory bypass harness today for the driver seat on my 23 GMC 2500HD PRO that I upgraded the seats to power leather, with your bypass harness I was able to get my driverside seat working like a charm! Thank you!
Thank you sir! Appreciate being the tester on this release!
Thanks Harness Dr! I ordered your bypass and followed your exceptional videos. I am REALLY enjoying my Denali seats in my 2021 Silverado LT!! You're Awesome! Appreciate you!
Appreciate your feedback, business and support!
How about adding a multi flex tail gate next to a truck that doesn't have one.
I have both heated and cooled seats what I dont have is comfort, the seats are hard as a rock
I learned to buy the interior from the factory, cosmetic and exterior is easy to do aftermarket, interior is either a PITA, not possible or way too expensive
Would it be possible to install these in a 2013?
I have a 2023 Sierra SLE. This trim level only comes with heated seats, and I would like to add cooling as well.
My question is, what if I bought Denali, AT4, or SLT seats that come with heated/cooled seats, and also changed the A/C control unit and installed the one from the SLT? Will the cooled work or not?
Phil- any idea what’s going on with the BCM programming? I just went through this same process as you about a month ago but when I went to get the BCM programming from WAMS, he said he wasn’t offering that service anymore. And I can’t find anyone else that offers this service….
Not sure. Hoping soon.
Any luck figuring this out? My truck has factory heating. I looked under the seat and can see the fan for cooled seat is there. Just wondering what process is to get that working.
I was just looking at getting a new Chevy and the seats were one thing I see complaints about everywhere. Is there a work in progress for the new 23-24 2500HD swap?
GM changed the connectors in seat control panels so this is something that is being considered and investigated. Thanks!
Hi there. Where can I find the bare plug youre using to mock up the jumped harness? Thats exactly what I need to add my 2021 Denali seats to my 95 K2500.
More videos 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Working on it! :)
Really interesting deep dive into the ins and outs. Ive tried swapping my 2021 rst seat into my 23 high country, (just the passenger) and for reference, it seemed to disable the air-conditioning in the driver seat. Reason is i actually wsnt to eventually remove thr passenger seat from the high country permanently, but i dont want to lose heated seat or Air conditioning seat, or get the airbag warning. i have an idea for the airbag warning, but not the heated seat. Do you have any idea what pins or heated seat connector look like on the harness?
I have a 21 rst driver power seat if I swap out to high country 20 leather seats do I need to run a bypass for memory or will it be plug and play ?
Great info! I’m curious if it’s possible to swap out non powered seats to powered seats.
Absolutely! The needs just depend on the seats you end up getting (be sure to get 19-22 only and not the “refresh 2022.5 and later). Also depends on the pins present or missing in your floor side connectors.
Which pin on the main harness powers up the seat for the forward n backward switch.
Hi, I’m going to order your harnesses, I have a 2021 Silverado Custom with non power seats, I bought a set of High Country seats with center console, my question is, how do I get power for my driver seat? I’m going to order the Memory bypass harness and the passenger sit retrofit harness, do I need any other harness for the driver side to give power to it or what do I need?
Did you confirm if your driver seat floor connector has the power/ground pins?
I have a 2021 Silverado custom with non power seats, I bought a set of sets but I don’t know what harness I need to power my driver seat , also on the driver seat floor conector doesn’t have power/ground pins
I do have a harness for the driver side but haven't released that on the website yet. For now, you can order (2) of the passenger seat harnesses and will ship a passenger/driver set. Don't forget the bypass harness as well if you are installing a High Country, LTZ, Denali, SLT seat.@@JonathanVillegas-pj8db
Yes. I don't have the driver seat harness released on the website for order, so order (2) of the passenger side harnesses and will ship passenger/driver harnesses.@@JonathanVillegas-pj8db
How do you know if your seat floor connector has the power/ground pins?
I’m looking to swap out my driver and passenger manual seats for power seats.
Thanks for video I installed my harness and got my seats work only question I have is will my heating function still work? my truck was already equipped with that
It should - yes. Mine did.
@@philgamboa2906 I lost that function on my driver seat do I need to buy the other harness to get it back
@@thebeardedone2285 if you had it before and lost it with new, then there is likely a compatibility issue with the seats. Some trucks have issues cross mixing years.
Does anyone have an info for doing this on a 2018 chevy? - Great video by the way!
Yes. Helped many people do the same on 2014-2018 trucks. Similar harness products at HarnessDR.com. You can reach me from the site.
how can i get one for a 2017 tesla model x front passinger seat ?
Not sure. Most of my work is around using GM Factory parts from higher trims, into lower trim trucks.
Can i add driver seat memory to a 2023 Cadillac XT-5 premium. I think the harness is the same and extras are just added to the harness.
Thx
Not sure on this one. Shoot me a message from the site. HarnessDR.com
Are there precautions to insure the airbags don't deploy or error when switching out seats?
You can disconnect the battery when working on seats. I’ve removed seats hundreds of times with the battery connected without issue though.
Any word on BCM programming for the rear heated seats? Or maybe even a bypass harness?
Nothing yet. I can't think of a way to bypass or an option to gain heated/cooled. If you search goatroapgarage here on YT, that guy explains the LIN BUS and how he gained heated using aftermarket stuff, logic board, etc.
So I have a 2023 Silverado LT if I heard you correct in your video I couldn’t buy a 2019 to 2022 seat and install it in my LT 23 right?
If your truck is a 1500, that's correct. Starting 2022.5 (refresh trucks) and later, GM changed the entire electrical system architecture. So wiring is different.
Where do I buy the harness from ?
Link in the description.
Have you added heated rear seats?
I did but waiting to get my BCM programmed at some point.
@@philgamboa2906 I’m about to do the same, so I’m very interested in the outcome. WAMS replied to me that they aren’t taking any custom work these days, and the internet doesn’t have any helpful info that I can find.
@@kemotheconsumer - Yep. Same boat. No one else does what WAMS can do so waiting patiently for something to be released :)
Will the memory bypass be needed for 14-18 models as well??
Yes. I have that product on my site.

@@philgamboa2906 cool I just ordered it
Hiw do i get your bypass harness driver and passenger 2023 silverado
Don’t have anything yet for that.
You don't think it would wk like I've seen on some of the comments?
