I've been learning some of the glitches in oot3d, mainly ba/rba and ww/dhww. Not for running purposes, just for the sake of breaking the game, and it was wild to ACTUALLY understand what was going on in one of these for once.
I actually played OoT 3d in Spanish back in 2011(even though I go for English in most games) because I was really pissed that I couldn't understand anything when I played the n64 version back in 99

@@frizzykid100 they are the same mechanically, except the button in question in 3d is 2 instead of c-right, and, more relevantly, the values that items correspond to in memory are shifted and rearranged (so in many cases different items on C-right/2 lead to different RBA results / different BA results). so the question is still worth asking, since it's possible that 3d might not have any useable items that correspond to dive meter's values

My terms for runs like this is just a multi-segment run or a spliced run. Maybe you need an extra term for using save states instead of saves, but it works. Maybe multi mini-segment run. Or just a "spliced save state run." I'm impressed you got the Save State thing working. I've tried and the save state function of NTR just fails every time, even when I use an older version of Luma3DS. I'm very much hoping Citra will get save states soon. I don't really understand the holdup. Just save the state of the emulator's memory, rather than that of the game. Then, as long as you use the same emulator, that should still work. It would just be like clicking pause and then resuming, which works fine. If it does, then I'll play using Citra, but using my 3DS as a controller. I did find an app that works with most buttons--the only problem is that the C-stick and ZL and ZR don't work, even though they said they added that.

at 1:18:25 ish ben is talking about how that's the *only* way to get song of time without opening a door because song of time is odd potion are you not able to just beat all the child dungeons and then go through dampe's grave again to get in there after getting song of time the normal way? i don't really expect this to get answered but it's 2 years after the fact but just in case
Ben got mixed up, 3D Saw is Song of Time and Stones while 3D Poultice is warp songs. Granted that doesn't change his point since you need poultice for saw The sticking point for child is mainly Barinade. I don't think you can clip into the Kakariko house without hookshot for the chain warp to King Dodongo and you don't have a timer or the way to do the lost woods void warp. I don't know if there's a way to void warp to the boomerang chest. Child BA would need Nocturne which means defeating Volvagia but you need to get to Barinade to warp to Volv

Sure they were. Grezzo had the originals to work with, they had all the existing problems to work with and fixed almost nothing and made some things even worse. They did a horrible job on a second chance.
I actually prefer Grezzo's half-assed methods of "fixing" problems. It would be boring if every glitch in their remakes were patched, it's way more enjoyable to mess with glitches in OoT and the 3D remake.
