The chromatic scale is a useless concept that doesn't make sense. Connecting notes using every available note in between is not.

"Why did we even invent scales? So we can play music that doesn't sound like this:"

the 'dissonantly' only sounds good to you because society has frayed and your mind is fried.

This is my favorite video of yours. An incredibly useful lesson on the "useless" scale. Thanks, Claus!

Do you need to practice the facial expressions when playing chromatically also?

But.. I love playing chromatically.... 6:54 is a really good example as well as a reason why playing chromatically is fun

Agree BUT chromatic power chords are useful and bands like Metallica and Megadeth use these quite a bit. For example, For Whom the Bell Tolls and Master of Puppets use chromatic scale runs.

Ahh, the infamous chromatic rundown in Master Of Puppets, after practising for 4 months, still can't get it full speed

Interresting, how these otherwise "homeless" notes can become acceptable the moment they funktion as connectors within the appropriate scale or chord(s), but where do you start the cromatism and where do you end it, in order to make it sound good? Or in other words - wonder what I do wrong, when three or four ajacent notes don´t sound right?
