I have had this marker for years with all the upgrades from MCS and personally, It was one of my first less leathal builds. I kind of put it to the side and graduated up to the VKS/FSC /TCP arena . This video and your ingenious creation has made me want to blow the dust off the old dinosaur and rip it apart . Like most of us in the community. The HP68s are great when they work and now I may have a designated launcher just for them . Like always, Great work my friend .
Great informative video Sean. I thought the PRV was needed in order for the marker to shot? Will this work with my TCR? How if I put in a stronger spring for the PRV and not delete it? Will that work? Cheers 😃
I did say that in the past keeping the newer prvs intact because they just worked. The problems i encountered with a deleted prv were using a Tcr valve. These particular tests including the newest video i am just editing now were with a standard Tipx valve which seems to have no problems. Next i can try my new delete with a Tcr valve and see how it does. I use to get stuck firing valve pins all the time running the delete and a Tcr spool valve. A stronger spring in the prv doesn’t really accomplish the same since yours is already holding steady. It’s more about just removing the velocity adjustment aspect and allowing the air to move more freely into the valve.
I know of few that tried epoxy and failed. Its a very small hole to try and get a thicker paste into. Then of course there is the possibility the epoxy could be ejected right into your face. This pin will not blow through. Of course if anyone is successful I am all ears.👂
Hey there Sean! Hope you're having a good day. I feel like I've been spamming these TiPX regulator videos quite a lot but I got to write this one also😎 My TiPX has been acting up lately (once again ahaha). I simply can't figure out what's going on with it. I uploaded a video about the behaviour and wrote some extra info in the description. I'd be very glad if you (or anyone else) would have a spare moment to check it out and see if you've encountered similar behaviour and if so, what could be done to get rid of it. I'm baffled with my PFFT PFFT launcher and can't get it to reliably fire harder than 17 joules 😅
First thing i would do is turn the velocity way down and see if it will cycle then. Pending it is not an over pressure situation. The problem will be the one of the 3 orings on the spool in the valve itself and not the regulator.
@@lesslethalfordummies Turning the velocity down helped sometimes. Until it started again, sometimes sooner and sometimes later 😆 The second part of your response gives me some hope. I actually received a new spool with o-rings yesterday for butchering purposes. Going to try that one out! I'll see how it goes, thank you!! 🙏❤💯
@Im-Dim try swapping the spool and see what happens. Every marker new or old can behave differently than what you see others doing. It may not like the velocity maxed on the adjuster but may in-fact be shooting the same as someone who has maxed the adjuster. Do you have a chrono to measure what it is doing?
@@lesslethalfordummies Got my X-Radar a couple of weeks ago! Swapping the spool didn't seem to make any difference, I got 2 firing valves, 2 spools and 2 main valve bodies now. Tried different combinations but it always acted the same. Might start to look like an over-pressure issue after all.. Back to the regulator? With the regulator bypassed or cranked high, it refuses to fire. I managed to get it work by keeping the regulator intact, bottoming the velocity screw and then turning it 2 full laps back. The hottest shot was 20 joules, but the rest were all around 16J until the 15th shot. With that setting it still gave closer to 10 empty pops after the 15th so I feel like there must be something that can be done to make it work with higher velocities. The last time it managed to fire with a bypassed reg, the hottest shot was 41 joules and there was only the tiniest delay between the trigger pull and firing. The trigger wasn't stiff at all. Maybe this launcher is just haunted👻
Both my Tipx are running strong. They do pretty good on hpa if you keep bottle output 1000 or less. 1100 seems to cause intermittent problems with the firing valve not functioning.
@@lesslethalfordummies Great news because I got my 2x18 pins in yesterday I'm now waiting until tomorrow to put my marker back together got to let it set up patchiness is not my strong suet but I'll deal, then I can test it out to see that it works, it worked for you so I just went ahead and used red lock tight anyway I have a spare reg 😎HaHa one pin to use and 49 left to loose

You're a genius! This is why I call you 'The Professor'.
They keep making these markers harder to 'work' on💥💥💥
Why thank you 😊
Excellent instruction

Thanks for watching. Tipx…long but not forgotten. Let me know how you make out or I’ll watch for it in the groups 😁
Thanks and will do .
Top video again Sean!!! Trying this out tomorrow! Still only getting 15 joules! So no risk no rewards 👍👍👍
🔥 One of a Kind!!!
Not for long!
Cutting a round piece from a silicone seal of a hinged mason jar and placing it underneath the piston seems to keep air when screwed in tight enough!
first !!🏁🏁🏁
un box vid soon waiting all day🤩 DK package arrived this after noon ! Sneak peek of my gifts for You and DK ! Ill need your address in near future 😉✌✌
If you aint first, you are last!
On the Max Wrist channel we all race to get first 🏁🏁🏁 I think we should do that on yours to 👍@@lesslethalfordummies

Aha. Ok. I will tinker with the velocity screw some more. Thanks for the info 😃@@lesslethalfordummies
@runerebel8441 open your Tcr valve up completely and send me some pics. It’s possible you have an early version.
OK. 😃👍@@lesslethalfordummies
Great work. I’m curious instead of a pin. Could one fill the hole with JBWeld? It could always be drilled out if necessary

Awesome Shawn but that link took me to 2x8 not 2x18 which is it I'm thinking 18 long
Links change all the time which is why i don’t like leaving them. 2x18 is the size i used. I would say the next shortest size would be perfect (16mm)

Okay new spool, new firing valve and still acting up. You are prv deleted?
So Shawn after 9 months is it still working well also how well dose it do on HPA

Did the pin fit firmly in place?
And you did put it in from the bottom side right?

Can you send a link to that pin again ?
