- I just happened to find the whole Hasbro Marvel Legends Avengers Gamerverse Abomination wave at Walmart while picking up supplies, so you know I had to take a look at them in one big swing! Robo, as an older collector, I can relate to the feeling of wanting ultra negative people to move on. We're here to enjoy this as a hobby and escape.
I'm 40, and I concur. I'm far too old to be cynical and a smartass. The older I get, the more youthful I become. Soon I won't be able to talk and poo pooing myself.
I’m in my younger teens and I relate and agree lol. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it! Unless you really want it I guess… but I hate it when people complain about figures they don’t have and just won’t give it up. I just think people need to move on if they don’t like a figure.

I love that leader figure
I'm a huge Marvel fan and I worked at a Shipping company as a Picker/Packer, seen the Cap ,Kamala and a few odd legends here and there along with some other collectibles. I wanted the Gamerverse ones coz im currently loving the game but im in my 20s so kinda didn't wanna be getting "Toys" but since watching this video, I've ordered the whole set, they came today and they look great in my collection.

Great reviews, Robo! I have Iron Man and Mach-1 so far. Love this wave so far! I really appreciate that you took the time to figure out Iron Man’s pauldron armor slides under the torso armor. Iron Man gets more range of motion than some reviewers are saying. Catch you on the Fwoosh!

I’ll wait until Cap and Iron Man go on sale. They look decent, but it’s hard to get excited for these designs without playing the game. I feel like if I bought them right now, I’d be doing it out of obligation instead of want, you know?

It’s a pretty weird wave but seeing them all like that, I’m actually kinda diggin’ it! Especially that Iron Man, he just looks like a modernized version of his classic suit which I quite enjoy

Abomination looks like a mix of the MCU one and the comic one.
The Utimate Beetle and Mach I costumes were both designed by artist Mark Bagley. Fitting they use the same body sculpt.
Mach-I. I NEEEEEEEED HIM. He's my favorite from one of my favorite teams I LOVE the OG Thunderbolts.
The more I see of that Captain America the more I like him. He kinda reminds me of the new joes with his updated armor and padding militarized look, almost like what he would look like if he fought along side the joes
He looks very good. I got one second hand and kitted him out with some of Commando Snake Eye's extra weapons. He can duke it out with Cobra and Hydra now!

Good review Robo! This wave is weird because its not a must have selection, but it has utility characters that you need to fill spots, lol. The Gamerverse IM looks cool but just can't get behind the IM helmet with a nose, lol.
I mainly just want the leader since the only leader figure right now is in a toybiz 2 pack for like 200 dollars 😂

That old Toybiz Leader is the variant. The regular version had the same head as this Hasbro one. But that head keeling over joke wasn’t getting old. In fact from that point in that’s all I could think of with him. HAHAHA Anotger great video, thanks...

Hey, great review as usual. Just thought i would share a small mod I did on my comic hulk arms. Put small drop of superglue on the back of the hing disk, to attach to the underside of the elbow. Holds the elbow rotation in place, leaving with just the bicep rotation, which in my mind is the better articulation choice, looks more natural.

Marvel's mach-1 is dope
I know right.
I actually like the Gamerverse Iron Man. The design is new, it's different yet still Iron Man. It's like the Ultimates Iron Man where it was so different from the 616 at the time and 616 had so many different armor designs by that point. Since Iron Man has had so many armors, you can mix all of them together.
Agree with you on the sense that the gameverse figures are the least excited, don't need/want another iron man, captain or ms marvel, the comic book ones i need, i agree that we need all the thunderbolts
Loved Thunderbolts in the 90's. The last page of that first issue was some serious "WHAAAAAAAA." So Mach I is a must have. That just leaves Techno, Moonstone, Atlas, and Jolt. And I guess Charcoal if you're being technical. But with all that legal business around that character that's gonna be a no go.

I'm liking Iron Man's sculpted elbow and back knee joints.
I very happy when I both found Ms Marvel on the shelf and my wallet had some action figure money. I really dig the figure but now I need a complete Champions team so.
Kinda with at least the upper torso of Captain Marvel was Superior Ock. That would remove the waist cut for the chest swivel, making the paint smoother at the waist.
Man both my Beetle and Ultron broke in the upper thigh swivel, i hope they fix that issue with Mach-1

Hey man, I've got to be honest; I'm not totally sold on that Gamerverse Cap either, but your opinion is just as valid as mine. I actually think I'm gonna pick it up because while I don't like him as Cap, I *really* like him as a pseudo-MCU style USAgent. As always, these are great reviews of some pretty solid figures, and even when our opinions differ, at the end of the day we both love action figures, and we need some damn positivity and escapism in these trying times. So you keep on doing you, Robo, and we'll keep on watching.
I don't know but Abomination reminds me of a knock off Killer Croc or a combination of Killer croc from the Arkham games with someone. Face wise anyway.

I like the Abomination figure here. It's a good stand in for a movie version( Looks way better than the acutal movie design IMO). I look forward to getting the wave.

If you take the head shooting fingers hand from the Jim lee cyclops you can put it on leader so he can be thinking or smart thing. I tried it and that’s how I am displaying him

The iton man highly resembles the mk 43 and 45, kind of a mix of the 2 from AoU. I dig it.
I like the objective of the design of game cap. The “”black ops”” style is a look that was not very common for me at least. It looks cool

I know if you try the RAFT abomination head will look kind of loose but what about the toybiz large body one, will it fit ?

A local wally world was missing Ms. Marvel and Mach 1...I need that Mach 1 bad. I left Ironman and Crap Cap on the shelf picked up that Leader, Rage and Marvel tho.

This wave seems to be really low on accessories... but I don’t know the characters so I don’t know what they should come with.
That hyperion body makes for a good leifeld infamous captain America figure 😄
The nose on Rage is part of the mask rubber piece over the head sculpt and painted a light tone than the plastic head tone. The mask wouldnt sit right around the nose if it was on the headsculpt.
That's all fine and good, still doesn't change the fact that the skin tones don't match.
If you have the cap and peggy 2 pack one of the unmasked heads for steve looks great on that captain America n I think might make it great for the gi joe classified shelf
Mark Bagley designed Mach 1 and Ultimate Beetle. I think he’s doing reuse here. Actually Mach-1 had these odd mitten armored gloves. I love the second version of Beetle armor too. In fact all the Beetle armors are interesting. Fists would have been better and not accentuate the long arms. My favorite in the wave. Fun review. Tarkin IM morph. Funny. Ranking the wave: Abomination, Mach 1, Rage, Leader, Mar-Vell, the rest. Yep. Give us more Thunderbolts. Give us all of them.

That Is the Ultimates Beetle and the pink nose on Rage looks very strange
Either Rage's vest or Nuke's will work great for the new Crossbones
Have you tried to see if the fan channel stealth Invincible Iron Man's hands fit on Mach-1? Might fix the problem.
When the new avengers game comes out I'm definitely copping it
