- You can learn how to Crochet an Easy Shell Stitch in this video tutorial. Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. This stitch pattern works great for a baby blanket, afghan, scarf, bag, and more. You can make this all one color or change colors ever 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 rows. I'm using a size H crochet hook and worsted weight yarn for this sample. It's a nice and easy pattern to remember. To do this you'll need to know how to crochet a chain, single crochet, and double crochet. The multiple of 6+1. Enjoy!

There is no written instructions when I click on link😢😢
Crisp and clear video. To the point, no distractions, good lighting, clear instructions and I like how you show where I should put the hook in the stitches.
This is how its done... the video is great. No muss no fuss no gobbldee goop talk about everything under the sun.... just the pattern. You are best I have seen.
Short and sweet, just the basics. Too much detail creates confusion, so this is perfect. Thanks!
Thanks a lot , I found it very clear and easy to follow..
I agree with you
I absolutely agree with you. I love all her videos ❤️
The best video I found for Shell stitch! Clear instructions and demonstration!
Love this pattern. The tutorial is so easy to follow. No guesswork and right to the point. Thank you for sharing 👍👍
I understand your directions better than other sites. Thank goodness and thank you.
This is really great for a beginner and very slow learner like me! I've just completed one scarf and am starting a second. It grows quickly and is interesting to make too. Many thanks.
Wonderful easy tutorial. You are a great teacher. No silly music or too much talking etc. Straight to the point!! Thank you!
Easiest shell stitch tutorial, ever. Thanks for a simple stitch that is quite beautiful.
Thank you so much!
Looks gorgeous if new color every row or do a dark shade of a color, a white row, a light shade of same color this is also fantastic either is beautiful
This is my first time learning the shell stitch and you made it so easy and stress free for me 💖 Thank you so much! 🐚
You are so welcome!
I've picked up crocheting again (after many years) and this is the best video I've seen for shell stitch for a beginner. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
Finally a shell stitch that I could follow and understand. Thank you so much.
You are definitely one of my FAVORITE crochet channels ever! I’m kinda new at crocheting and your tutorials have been super helpful and straightforward! Thank you so much for running this channel and uploading some awesome videos! 💚
You are so welcome!
Donna I love you! I look forward to your notifications every week! I am a knitter of many years and dabble in crochet. I've learned so much from just watching your easy to learn videos. You are always appreciated by me! ♥
Hi am sorry for the introduction in your comment but I find you attractive and interesting I don't know if I could be your friend so we can get to know each other more and thank you
1:59 Secomd row time-stamp. Just as a self-reminder. Thanks so much for the helpful tutorial!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for this. My Mom made the best baby blankets with this stitch. She passed 3 years ago today. I had lost my instructions and hadn’t been able to find any that made the same shell she did. This is it.
I love this shell stitch, very easy and quick!
I absolutely love this pattern. It is the only pattern I use for the babies and childern at Texas Childrens' Hospital, where I volunteer and donate items. I have also used this pattern to make lap throws for various homeless shelters. Since there no holes it is warm and cozy.
Thank you for all your dedication and free patterns.
Thank you for donating to those in need!
Wow🌺 I believe in your post you must be a woman with a good heart. I thought about finding out more about you
Another easy and beautiful pattern Donna .....thank you
It looks so difficult and you made it so simple. I definitely want to make a blanket like this. Thank you so much for sharing!!
I love the way she teaches so easy to understand
Thank you for this very easy to follow tutorial. This is a wonderfully easy pattern, that I have used over and over again. It is the one I use for my daughters first two boys, 20 some years ago, and she has loved it ever cents. I am getting ready to make a baby blanket for a coworker of hers, and we both chose the Stitch.
There is another pattern, with a multiple of 6+2. I never use this one, because the beginning and ending of each row changes every other row. I get confused. I like things to be easy and simple, and that is what your tutorial teaches us. By the way, I am going to use a Lion Brand’s hombre in the Color Way, Felicity for the new babies blanket. It’s a beautiful, gray and pink that I think would look lovely in the shell stitch. Thank you again. I have saved this pattern in my iPad notes for safekeeping.❤
Happy this video and pattern have helped!
Finally! I found an easy shell stitch pattern! Thank you so very much Donna! This works up so fast and is so simple to do. Very excited, have started a blanket.
I definitely prefer this pattern to the 6+2 one. Much easier...And it looks great.
What edging did you put on the blanket?
@@patibarrera2874 Not sure if your asking me, but if you are, I didn't put an edging on it because I was making it for my son and he didn't wanna wait any longer so he took it without one lol. But if I had, I think I'd have done a shell border.

Hello Naztazia how are you? I just wanted to say that everytime I watch one of your videos, your yarn looks perfect! It almost looks like a cord, that’s not a bad thing lol. There’s never any strands coming out or any fuzziness. I love it!
Awesome.....you make it so easy for me to understand. Thank you.

At the end of the first row. How did u end
#Naztazia Hi again Donna, I wanted to ask what type of yarn would be the best kind for a blanket using this stitch. I have some Caron SS, and did a sample, and it's pretty, but I find the yarn almost too soft...it seems to stretch a lot and I don't want it to stretch *THAT* much. From your experience, what would you suggest? TIA.♥️
Thank you so much for this tutorial but how do I make it open.yours is tight and too close,I want some space in mine.please help me
