The clip when you talked about 28 gauges and just smacked your Gopro back on your hat, and dusted that dove was so nice! The .410 is treating you well!
Awesome content!! most of my favorite channels make one dove hunting video a year and that's opening day love how you're continuing to make these dove hunting videos keep them coming!!!!
Well Jordan that was a great hunt with a 410. And that shotkam completely changes the way hunting looks on video. The shots are clear and you see everything. This is fun and exciting watching this video and thank you for posting it. I hope you do more 410 hunts in the future cuz this one was just plain awesome. Thank you again for sharing, peace out
Always enjoy seeing the 410 in the field.. I do 410 hunts as well .some turn out good others not so much.. Woodcock hunting with 410 is a little tough .
Hello Jordan, good limit out with the 410. Shooting 3 inch shells I've never under estimated the range, you can kill anything with a 410! Hope you find a 28 gauge soon, I have shot one but never owned one. There are some nice little guns! A farm update would be good it would make a change from doves :-). The geese tonight were going over those stubble field we said. Might give it a go tomorrow evening! Take care and stay safe. Malc and Ann (England) UK xxx
The good shooting helped... but the picking up the shells is what made me subscribe! I've decided that this year I am keeping a bucket in my truck all season long. It will have both my shells and shells I find. I want to see how many I have by the end of all hunting seasons!
I got a 555, in .410, a few years back and I love it. It's light weight, great balance and it comes with 5 choke tubes. I would definitely recommend it. Love the videos, keep it up!
I bought a 555 new. Shot 2 rounds of skeet and on the 3rd round one barrel stopped firing. Sent it back and they fixed it. Took it duck hunting and on the third volley both barrels stopped firing. Each time the firing pins broke. They told me I was dry firing it(I wasnt) and they wouldn't fix it again. I paid a gunsmith to fix it and I sold it. Bought a Remington 332 instead. Good luck whatever you decide to do. Nice video and great shooting.
Good video, Jordan you where Smoki'n them. A 410 or 20 GA Are alot of fun on small game. I learned on my dad's 20 Ga. Old bolt action with a 2 shell magazine it was a good gun. You don't need a 12 Ga. For everything. Good job Enjoy your Dinner!
Nice pea shooter. Very sporting of you. I like the way you let some pass. Great self control. Hunting alone, takes away the collective behaviour hunters get when it gets too competitive, and the larger the bores get. You have a great idea here. More 410, less artillery. Making a hunter. 28 gauge is a "Hell Yeah! You're the only one doin' it's! Think youth, recapturing the edicate and ethical sport it should be. Now that's good ground. Teaching. Loading , unloading, actions open at vehicle, passing firearms through fence. Get another 410. Perfect for Bobby!
Love the dove hunting. I don't have great dove hunting where I live so I live it through your videos lol. I know a few old timers who use 410s to bird hunt because it's easy on the shoulder
I have the 555 in 20 gauge. Very light weight and a good looking shotgun. Mine had a little surface rust out of the box in the vents under the rail. Other than that, it’s been a nice little shotgun. Thinking about getting the 555 silver in 12 gauge. I like the non etched receiver. Thumbs up on the video bro.
The savage 555 is a legit shotgun. Guy I know has one and they are sweeeeeeet. Highly recommended. I’m probably getting one in 28ga to hunt chukar out west.
I’ve turned into a 28 gauge hunter. Those things are awesome. Use one for everything. I have the mossberg Sa28 and Benelli legacy 28. Both are great. I bring the mossberg to the duck blind and use the Benelli for everything else.
great job man! I've said it once and i'll say it again, keep up the great work and you will continue to grow! also there are some sweet tristar over and under 28 gauges for around $500, a bit steep but I heard they are worth it!
I have only handled the 555 but the folks that I've talked to loved them. I almost sprung for it but I decided I wanted a sxs and double triggers more. I can REALLY recommend the CZ bobwhite G2. Same money-ish, they're the only gun I handled at any price that felt faster than the 555. But it's a totally different thing.
@@JordansHarvest Not exactly what you asked for I know, but hope it helps. Also: the current versions of both have manual extractors so you don't have to chase your shells.
@@brentniedermeier5272 Both barrels? Yeah mine's a tiny tad low like an old fashioned sxs, you kid of have to cover the target if you're looking dead down the rib but I just skootch up the comb a little and I can drill clays pretty reliably out to 50. I had a mossberg 500 20 ga that patterned literally a full pattern to the right and half a pattern high for me and the factory couldn't figure it out. It happens.
That’s all I use opening day is the 410. Then the next time I go I use a 28 gauge for the next couple of hunts. Finally for the second and third season here in Virginia, I use a 20 gauge. 12 gauges are for ducks/geese
Just got a shotkam and looked up dove hunting with it. Your videos popped up and glad they did. Great video and awesome shooting with the 410. I have the shotkam on my grandfathers 1957 Belgian browning light 12. Hunted once with it and boy does it show you what your doing right or wrong! 👍🏻
28 Guage over under is an awesome gun never shot the.savage but I've shot a Ithaca and it was awesome its like a 410 with more pellets wish I had doves to shot like you do icant find them in my state
Jw here from SD. I have a 555 savage stevens in 16 gauge and love it. Also have an ati 28 gauge. If you can find the savage in 28 gauge go for it. I'm not impressed with the quality of the ati, it shoots good but the quality of workmanship is not there. I got it with some rust, scratches in the barrels and some spots that need bluing
I have a 410/22 mag O/U that shoots amazing but we can't shoot dove up here in VT. What was that giant cement thing in the distance of the video? Definitely don't have those where I'm from.
I’ve been watching your videos forever now I just decided to subscribe an be part of the family! How do you decide your hunting spots? Over here in Illinois it seems like after the second week from opening day they quit flying! I’ve bought mojos like you an Bobby an I can only seem to connect with one or two dove when I am home on the weekends from work! Love what your doing keep it up!
Dude I recommend the Mossberg International Silver Reserve II Field Over/Under Shotgun you gonna get the mossberg quality which is great and it comes in 28
the savage 555 are nice but i prefer my mossberg silver reserve 2 in 28guage the mossberg shoots extremly well. Also the mossberg if you can find one that will take the new fiocchi 3 in 28guage ammo the 3 inch throw great pattern. I shoot alot of doves and rabbits with mine.
Jordan, Love your videos!! Wish I could sjlhoot like you!?!? Yildiz 28ga aluminum receiver is a great and cost effective O/U at Academy. I love mine! Super lightweight with lots of choke options and great engraving.
I have a stoeger sxs uplander 28gauge fun gun and would like to have a mossberg sa28 Randy Wakeman did two videos on it, it’s Turkish made but seems to be good quality and light weight
Got one of the savages 555 an it shoots good and it comes with 5 different chokes. But a cheaper version is a mossberg sa in a 28ga. It comes with 5 chokes an a hard case and it’s a little cheaper
Man your videos are awesome I really enjoy watching the dove hunts seeing how I’ve only shot one since the season opened unfortunately there’s just not enough birds where I’m at
I love shooting 410 just not the price for the ammo I tend to like federal birdshot way more then Winchester but I am fine with Winchester buckshot and slugs for my 410.i have been really tempted to buy 1 of the lever action Henry 410s the 1 thing that's been stopping me is that they are chambered in 2 3/4 so no shooting any of my stocked up 3 inch sells
So today was my first day shooting a 20 gauge shotgun and I’m hooked and I am planning to go duck hunting for my first time but I know this might sound a little wimpy but the gun really hurt my ears do you have any good ear plug brands?
Want to know a secret though each one of those pellets has just as much whether it's coming out of a 12 gauge or 20 gauge or 410 long as they're moving out at roughly the same speed. I always went to number 9 with a 410
Something I would like to see if your able to do it is a squirrel hunt later this fall I usually do pretty good and their pretty tasty and easy to shoot
Great shooting Jordan with the 410 pump 👍 please make a few more videos with the 410, Thanks & More Happy Dove Hunts.
Great shooting and wonderful enthusiasm for dove shooting. Appreciate your picking up other people’s hulls. The Mossberg 410 has become very popular.

One hunter on the field, using a 410...impressive. I don’t see that many birds opening day with a dozen hunters.
You are on fire, wow great shooting.

I'm looking to buy a 28gauge myself herd a lot of great reviews about them, can you reach out and shoot ducks at 40 yards?
@Robin Alley thank you Robin, I can't wait to get my own 28gauge.
I shot a few teal this week about 40-45 yards and crushed them. I’m shoot bismuth loads not steel though.
Way to bring the hammer down with the .410 👍🏻

28 ga. You will love it for doves. Shells more expensive but just a wonderful patterning gun, kicks just a little bit more than .410
