- In this video, I show you how to add an attachment to a Mailchimp email. This is part of a series of videos I've called Mailchimp Basics. Mailchimp doesn't allow an attachment to a campaign email in the traditional sense, rather, you'll need to upload the files to Mailchimp's content studio. Alternatively, you can use a web address to link your attachment.

Hi, thanks for your informative video. Do you know if you can alphabetize the file folders in the Content Studio? I spend so much time scrolling to try to find files. It seems putting them in alphabetical order would be way smarter. Thanks for your help!
Hi Nancy - thanks for the question. There isn't a way to sort folders by alpha, but you can sort all your files by alpha.
Can I do this,
I have 10 different files for 100 different clients like first 10 will get file no. 1, second 10 will get file no. 2, and so on. But they all will get a basic same mail just different files can I do that in one single campaign or I will have to create 10 different campaign for different files ?
If you can help with this it would really make my work easy thanks
Check out this help from Mailchimp and the best way to do this - mailchimp.com/help/use-merge-tags-to-send-personalized-files/
Do you know how I can send personalized file on Mailchimp? For instance sending out individual certificates for a course, how do I automate such on Mailchimp?
Great question! You'll need a third-party platform like Accredible to integrate with Mailchimp through Zapier. www.accredible.com/solutions/integrations

@@LarrySnow Thank you!
You're welcome. 👍
Hi Larry, thanks for the video! Can I attach a link for a free downloadable gift in my welcome email? Where I'm confused is I'm following instructions, and creating the content of my automated welcome email in Zapier, and can't figure out how or where to put the link for the file I have on my computer. Any help would be much appreciated 🙏😊
Hi Sonia! 👋 Thanks for the question. To best help answer this question, I have questions for you😃 - Are you on a paid or free Mailchimp account? How are contacts signing up for the freebie? Is it through a Mailchimp embed form? Is the freebie for anyone that signs up on the email list?
Hi Larry, thanks so much for replying 🙏
It's a free mail chimp account. I did set up something up as a way to collect email addresses a couple of years ago but I never got going with what I was doing at the time 🙄
Now I have started something else and have some software that is linked to my FB account to help find targeted leads organically. Part of the strategy is to set up a FB group. Then the questions the new members are required to answer, one is, in my case a free download resource and then the next question is 'where to send private trainings and the free download. What's their best email'
The software has a way to link to Zapier to create a Zap. Now within Zapier, I've linked with Mail chimp and what I set up previously, the next action is to create the email that would then automatically be sent. I can do that but not add the link to download a small file.
I'm stuck but know from experience 'there's always a way' 🤣🙏
Maybe I have to create it in Mail chimp 🤔
Thankyou in advance!
Hi Sonia. You may be able to just create a Zap to send the email with download directly to the FB email address signup through your email address provider, then add the email address to the Mailchimp audience list. However, before the contact is added to Mailchimp you should apply a tag or add a group (I believe Zapier can do this) so that you know how they came into your audience for further email communication.
I'll have another look.
Really appreciate you replying 🙏
