There’s gotta be a way to save these cars. All of them are rare, valuable, and due to being in a building all these years, they’re all extremely well preserved and worth restoring. Hell, most of the cars in there you can get rolling down the road with a small amount of mechanical work, new tires, and a good detail for cleaning up the mold and bringing that paint back to life. Doing something as simple as that would make the car look and feel brand new again.
@@lordexplores Yeah 100%. Also that extremely long car is a 1974 Lincoln Town Car and it was the absolute king of luxury back in the day. Its a whopping 19 feet long and weighs 5,376 lbs which is both longer and heavier than my fullsize Toyota Tundra pickup truck for reference. And the Buick Reatta that's in that place is quite a rare car. There were less than 22,000 produced and it was one of the most technologically advanced American cars you could buy back then. It had the first touch screen system ever put into a production car which was developed by general motors and coupled with a fuel injected 3800 V6 and a stylish body with popup style headlights, it was a very unique and special car at the time. Yes - possibly oldest one ( same MY ) was the 1968 Imperial and 1968 Sedan DeVille around 16:00-16:30. And the newest one maybe being the 1993 Mercury Sable 15:10.

I've seen a couple of videos filmed here. It tickles me that they won't bring someone with them who knows ANYTHING about cars. If I were going to look at a car collection and didn't know one car from another, I'd bring a friend who knows a little about it.
@kenk7451 yeah, caught that, but we got to give them a break because it's like if when we were 18 years old and found a bunch of cars from the 30 years before we were born we probably wouldn't have known what they all were either
The screen in the Reatta is actually a CRT touch screen, very advanced stuff for the late 80s. It controlled the AC, the radio, and gave a lot of engine information.
Pretty cool seeing those old cars. Lincoln is the luxury brand of Ford. Buick, Oldsmobile, and Cadillac are GM marques. The car you pointed out at 11:50 in your video is an old Chrysler. That is the Pentestar logo used on Chrysler cars. Also, the Buick Reatta you looked at, that car was ahead of its time when it came out. That screen in the middle was the first touchscreen infotament system that a came in a car.
All of them are great cars and great models. One of the newer cars there was the euro red Cadillac Allante 1993. Ironically, I drive a red 93 Allante as my daily driver for the past almost 9 years. The Buick Reatta produced from 1988-1991 was right next to the Cadillac Allante produced from 1987-1993. I think only three other newer cars was a 1992-97 Cadillac Seville, 1990-94 Lincoln Town Car and the 1992-94 Mercury Sable. I honestly hope each of these vehicles will be rescued in some way and enjoyed once again. It is so unusual to find well preserved examples like this from the 70s, 80s and 90s as so much was junked before. On the far building where the roof started collapsing, I noticed several late 60s cars. A 1967-68 Cadillac Fleetwood brougham in the corner. But seeing that dark maroon 1968 Eldorado next to a 1968 Chrysler Imperial is just spectacular!!!
This might be your guys’ best finds yet. The Pink Coupe near the end of the video is an 8th Generation Eldorado. Produced from 1967-1970, these were a drastic stylistic change, compared to the DeVille and Series 62 models. Bill Mitchell, the GM Styling Chief, wanted to make a more crisp design for the Eldorado, to make it stand out from the more Streamlined Buick Riviera and Oldsmobile Toronado at the time. If that Pink example has concealed headlights, then it’s either a ‘67 or ‘68. The largest Motor offered for the 8th Gen Eldorado was the 8.2 Liter 500 Cubic Inch (CI) V8, which was only introduced in 1970. A beautiful Land Yacht that needs to see sunlight again!
Try to get in touch with the auto automotive museum and see if you can get these cars saved or try to get in touch with GM Ford and Chrysler and see if they want cars from museums. Those cars are in pristine condition and probably be cheap to fix if they’re not like overly damaged.
Brother at 5:30 that blue interior buick reatta was made between 1988 to 1991 made by GM it has pop up headlamps and you said how modern it look from that screen so that screen is a touchscreen computer interface for marketed as the Electronic Control Center (ECC), that included radio and climate control functions, date reminder, etc. A total 21,000 were made between those production years it came for first two years 1988 and 1989 as 2 door hardtop and for last two years 1990 and 1991 they launched 2 door convertible as well and yes it comes with v6 engine.
@@lordexplores With a new battery and fluid changes, that Reatta would should fire up. The GM 3800 was a bulletproof engine throughout it's 20-year run (1988-2008). Also was the first car with a CRT touchscreen display/infotainment center.
1:50 that blue car is a two door 1980/81 Lincoln continental town car coupe, very few made compared to the two door 1980-1983 continental mark VI. You rarely see them these days compared to the mark VI.
This looks like an abandoned dealership the way that the cars are all parked, even looking at the markings where it said “44,000 miles nice car!” That’s what a dealership would right on there.
