@@LaughCryDIY My sister had 500 pens with their wedding date and names printed on them...but they made a mistake so she ended up with 1000 pens. She still has the boxes in her garage!!!
OMG please stop 🤣😭😂 I'm dying over here when you guys are going through the ties! First of all my dad had that geometric tie in the 70s. Secondly who is Keith Daniels and why were his ties being sold at Eckerd Drug? And Judith Krantz photo! I'm peeing my pants! OMG so much great stuff in this vid, Katie! This has to be a new series! ❤😍
Well that was super fun! Hilarious picks and rationale for each but I'm so glad you wrestled that giant shell off him. I really hope you bought those candle sticks for yourself. My favs were the exercise bike and vintage cookery books- so appetising!!
Congrats, Jake 🎉 Fun episode. I once received a table cloth made of a lace type material with the scene from the Last Supper embellished on it as a wedding gift.
So funny...I received the brass candle holder with glass cover as a thank you gift for singing at my cousin's wedding. And her bridesmaids held similar ones instead of flowers.
I screamed when I saw the assistance league sign! They are such a great thrift store that raises money for local, community driven resources. We have one in Denver and they not only have the best stuff, but they also host free ESL classes, have a medical equipment lending program, and donate back to school stuff to kids.
Just stumbled upon this video and loved it! Great laughs to start the weekend 😂but most of all perfect ideas to think outside traditional gifts to give. Subscribed!
What a super fun video! Your friend is a hoot, love him! Score on everything, mission accomplished. Loved the ties - I think every groomsmen should receive one of the unusual fun ties. I would even think, they would be cool to wear as part of the wedding ensemble, definitely a funny memory. At least at the rehearsal dinner or bachelor party!
I think a beer stein and a Hawaiian shirt that is to be worn at the rehersal dinner or after the pictures on the wedding day would be a great (and funny) gift
Are we just gonna ignore that FUR BAR? That was the single coolest piece of furniture I've ever seen in my life. Who came up with that? Who made it happen? I have so many questions. Also, shout out to the Hawaiian Taco shirt and all the hug dealers. (If I had a punk band, our name would def be Hug Dealers) Great episode.
The Hug Dealers is so good. And I agree. Fur bar is the mystery of life. But so incredible. It made me happy it sold, so I knew someone appreciated it.
Oooh baby, how fun was that! Bringing back ye olde memories with the fruit stripes gum....that tasted like ass & dirt. Seriously, though, those candle sticks were GORGE!! I would have grabbed that little tin to make a candle, too. Your thrift stores are amazing compared to ours.
The “Body Building Dishes for Children” is definitely the winner for me. Loved those recipe books you bought for your groomsmen 😂 this episode had me laughing out loud at work the whole time
Congratulations Jake and your talented seamstress fiancé! It’s a toss-up between the various ties and “Busting Out” - as someone who is naturally busty, I can tell all the women buying books like that, you know what big breasts are? They’re idiot attractors - if I had a dollar for every guy who has crossed a room to talk to my chest, well, I wouldn’t be a rich woman, but I’d have a decent amount of money. When I was single I used to say, ‘First guy who talks to my face wins.’. My husband talked to my face - we’ve been married for almost 30 years. My best tip for a happy marriage? Selective deafness.🤣
@@LaughCryDIY I also meant to say, bravo to Jake for thrifting groomsmen gifts! Better for the planet, and hopefully better for his pocket - although not if he buys several things for each guy!😁
As a more "mature" follower, I can share that Judith Krantz was a wonderful writer back in the day. I loved her books and I bet I have read them all! Fun video - Bra--vo!! PS your makeup is fabulous today - eyes they are a -poppin'!
Somebody filled me on her glory. I went down a rabbit hole, and I still maintain she is the queen of headshots. Absolutely soft glamour goals. Hopefully she would approve of the eye lewk.
Love! Fave tie: the vultures Worst bridal gift: expired potpourri that smelled like baby powder I was confused in the beginning when you said Jake gave you a ring and then I realized you meant on the phone hahah 💙🩷💙
I think this is a trend that needs to go viral. No more engraved steins or matching 'jewellery' sets!!!
I 100% agree. Wedding crap drives me crazy.

“Busting Out: Putting your Best Breast Forward!” Books from a simpler time 🤣😂! Congratulations to Jack and fiancé !!!
😂 killed me

Definitely questions that need answers. Will the real Keith Daniel's please stand up.
Hahahah you guys are killing me
The geometric was melting my brain 😂 I hope Judith and Keith were actually a married power couple. Hahahaha.
Those first candle sticks had serious Art Nouveau vibes!
Proud to report I got them and LOVE them.
@@LaughCryDIY Ohhhh those were almost as cool as the vulture tie. They were so pretty.
Well that was super fun!

My favs were the exercise bike and vintage cookery books- so appetising!!
I got the candlesticks, and I love them! Happy to have rescued them.
Feeling some nightmares coming regarding that 50s dessert book with the meat-peach-pie-cover
Thank you for being as horrified as I was. It was truly terrifying.
I have that bike and I still ride it.
My heart is thrilled to witness your discovery of Judith Krantz. The 1980s were lucky to have her ❤😂🎉
No way! You’re blowing my mind with the bike and Judith. She is the QUEEN of head shots. I went down a whole deep dive.
Congrats, Jake 🎉 Fun episode. I once received a table cloth made of a lace type material with the scene from the Last Supper embellished on it as a wedding gift.
Oh wow. As a wedding gift!!!!
I love a bold tie! Kinda voting for the fruit striped one. Would love a follow-up video on the gift giving!
The fruit stripe is a winner for sure. I will try to have him film the follow-up.
So funny...I received the brass candle holder with glass cover as a thank you gift for singing at my cousin's wedding. And her bridesmaids held similar ones instead of flowers.
Oh that’s funny. Didn’t know about the glass cover.
Great video! Best wishes Jake!🎉 Great gifts for groomsmen. Love the tins to put gifts in....and the fruit striped tie, fun.
It was very fun to look for something so different than what I’m normally on the hunt for.

Aw, that’s awesome! Two of my faves thrift stores are in the same block, and that one is in the mix.

100%. I’ll be waiting for pics.
Omg the vintage cookbooks crack me up! Can Jake post a follow up video to get their reactions?
I’m telling him to film when he gets ‘em!

I think we need that gifting to the groomsmen video. Awesome & fun video.
I’m telling him to film it!

This is a great video. Love shopping with the man for gifts, different eye for sure.
Really opened my eyes to the mysterious men’s section. Haha.

The vulture one is my fav and then the beechnut gum one. 🩷🧡🧡💛💛💚💚
I’m excited to see his fellas in them.
Love!
Fave tie: the vultures

Not the potpourri!!!!!! Hahahahah. What a gift.
