Always love how they depict Yugi x Kaiba and Yusei x Jack's character design as a rival. The fact that they used a darker/black tone for the MC and lighter/white tone for the rival really makes their character design more unique than some other anime rivals that use lighter tone for the MC and darker tone for the rival. Even from the Deck they used for Yugi x Kaiba, the fact that Yugi used a dark fiends, wizards, and other characters that more villainous, and Kaiba that used light dragons, knights, and other characters that more heroic, really make them contrast each other in a unique way.
Awesome video! Fun fact: Yugioh is particularly inspired by JoJo. Takahashi said in an interview that JoJo was one of his biggest inspirations for the brand
Pegasus’ style is incredible just from how it manages to convey his elegance, quirkiness and malevolence all at once. The white/silver hair, the old-style ruffles and the little ribbon around his neck convey this almost 19th century fashion sensibility while the bright red suit with the white trim gives him a Wonka-esque “fun playful billionaire” vibe. And of course, the perpetually hidden Millennium Eye (which is an absolute statement piece in itself) beneath that elegant straight hair couples super well with his permanent “I know you better than you know yourself” work to make him a villain design that can be equal parts “foppish eccentric tycoon” and “ruthless mastermind”. Even the shoulder blades of the suit and the sharp angular hair still contribute to the sharper Yugioh aesthetic. Also, wonderful video as always dude. I love that you’ve given me the inspiration to think about these sorta designs this way.
Yugioh's fashion & aesthetic is a super interesting blend of 80s and 90s slashers, JoJo's bizarre adventure, Tim Burton, and yuyu hakusho, which was very intentional on kazuki Takahashi's part. Which then got reiterated on by both himself and key animators on the shows which mixing things like ancient depictions of alchemy concepts (yubel is literally a Rebis), sci fi stuff like tron, and post apocalyptic stuff like mad max. It just makes for a super eye catching and memorable aesthetic where you can have some cute fluff ball with eyes next to magician of dark magic (on record as being designed after Edward scissirhands BTW) in space and it somehow feels cohesive.
Fun fact about yu gi oh, most people never saw the real season one which is called season zero now a days. It wasnt about the cards etc but instead about playing death games(various gambles and games that yugi thought of) and sending people that lost to essentially hell. One character was interested in a card game and it wasnt a big focus at first but people reacted very well to it and they realized that was worth exploring. They realized that people were not that interested in base yu gi oh but liked the card part so they rebooted the series and focused on the card game part cause.. you can merchandise that easily.
Fun fact it's technically not a season of the more well known Anime, but another anime by a different production studio. It is based on the early chapters of the Manga when it was about games in general and not Duel Monsters specifically. Then when the Duel Monster chapter proved most popular, Shonen Jump retooled the manga towards it. The 2nd anime, produced after the manga had shifted focus (and, as you say) with the intention of merchandising it, just skipped the early chapters. So while that early part is canon to the Manga continuity, it isn't in the 2nd anime. And the season 0 moniker is inexact.
I loved this show as a kid, I love the monster designs. The creator of Yugioh, Kazuki Takahashi (RIP), was inspired by Edward Scissorhands when creating the characters and monsters.
i am SO GLAD for this video you do not understand omg. I love love LOVE Yugioh, Yusei is like, my transition goals, they're all serving, and I was so excited that you included Go Rush and Sevens in here, but I am sad that the yugioh wikis you used didn't give you more Go Rush characters. Unlike Sevens (which is in the same universe btw - Sevens is both a prequel and sequel to Go Rush because of time travel shenanigans and vice versa), Go Rush has some "older" characters that are more prominent due to the aliens existence. For example, I think Zwijo and Phaser (the rival/s1 antagonist/love interest for Zwijo, and then s2 antagonist/secondary cast for Phaser) would be entirely up your alley, as they just have either the flare youre looking for (Zwijo) or that more sophisticated look (Phaser). There's also Dudi Nishaw, who isn't as much as a prominent character (though I love him), and he's really cool in the fact that he has two different designs in the same outfit, and yet it *works*. Oh, and Kuaidul, who is pretty similar to Yudias in terms of design, but also pretty different!! Also on the Sevens side, there's really only like, 5 adults, one of which is Mimi who looks similar in terms of age to the main cast, but even then most of her outfits are really cutesy. But if anything, Princess G deserves a mention. She's one of those 5 adults and she's a famous punk rock artist who inspired Romin (the girl who managed to get like, 5 different outfits when everyone else wears only one thing) and her style is SO GOOD. There's also the fact that the supporting cast in Sevens are all really varied and important! There's a core 7, and while for the most part, they do look somewhat basic (but work in universe, they're just a little more subdued in terms of what we're used to in yugioh), but i think Asana and the rest of the Machine Calvary Club would peak some of your interest, and Asana is one of the main 7, so we love that for her. (Also there's a canonical time skip at the very end of Sevens when they finally enter middle school and Asana has the BEST uniform because she basically combined the boys uniform with the typical delinquent girl uniform (so the longer skirt) and it SLAYS and I love her giving these vibes.) Anyways, i mainly went on the Rush era rant because i think there's really good designs!! I just think the fact that it has a smaller fanbase though hurts in some regards with cataloguing, so i hope you do check out these characters and share your opinions, even if only in a reply, lol! Because i absolutely LOVED this video and was so glad you touched on everything and gave Zexal (my gateway into yugioh) the love it deserves. Also, was not expecting some of the 5Ds characters but you are so right in that Greigor? His outfit DOES slay and I'm glad you opened my eyes to that.
Talking about real life fashion brands was pretty interesting, especially since they had unique enough work to be worth looking at, especially in the context of comparing them to Yu-Gi-Oh
Some lore for zexal which informs their styles a bit more: So mizar, Reginald "shark" kastle, and Rio are (spoilers) 3 of the 7 barian emperors. Barians are basically like space demons who are reincarnations of people who have past away violently. The emperors all have a "barian battlemorph" which is basically a unique power rangers suit to boost their powers, and their human forms, which look a bit out of place for regular people of any era. The exceptions are shark and Rio (nasch and marin, respectively) who don't know they're barians until the final arc, as they've been pulling a billy maximoff and inhabiting the bodies of twins who died in a car accident. So they're the only emperors that "fit" with the rest of the cast in terms of general fashion. Vector does too, but he's only in human form when he's trying to troll people into killing themselves.
I'm so happy you gave Zexal fashions time to shine !! Zexal wasn't received that positively with fans but if you watch Japanese dub not the butcher English dub its a very good show :))) Keep up the good work !
As a huge zexal enjoyer that brought me back into the franchise, I just want to say thank you for giving the character designs their flowers! Their colors and how the clothes are cut in certain angles brings me joy!! Though to better explain like Quinton, Trey (and both Quattro and Vetrix)’s designs, they’re roughly if not based on the ouji/prince fashion style. Ouji fashion made its appearance in the late 90s to early 2000s over in Japan and they take their inspiration from 18th/19th century British Victorian designs. Still an insanely cool dive into the complexities of the fashion in YuGiOh as a whole!
Hey I'm going to say this rest in peace kazuki Takahashi he went from a kid being dissed by his teacher in front of his class saying he'll never amount to nothing but a toilet scrubber to create a comic book / manga artist was led to a card game that became a multi-million global phenomenon that was beloved by fans across the world and future ones for years to come which led to him getting a Guinness world record I said you did far more than prove that teacher wrong
I just love Jim's look and also Seto Kaiba's original look from Duelist Kingdom (not the school uniform, the dark green turquoise (?) shirt with the huge popped collar and the navy blue jacket. Maybe I have a thing for popped collars in anime and games? I didn't know Camula existed but she's definitely a favourite now. I'm a big fan of Aster's metallic-ness, Duke Devlin in general and Tyranno's look is so fun. Probably a not so popular opinion but I do kind of vibe Rex Raptor's style.
I’m not even one second in, but let me just say as someone whose RUclips channel is focused on Yu-Gi-Oh I truly believe that the fashion in that series is iconic and has changed the way that a generation of millennials chose to express themselves. This video is already coming off as super fun and, I can’t wait to see your takes! I wish that people would embrace their nerd selves and dress the way that they are 15-year-old selves would’ve wanted to see them dress with the self-awareness to make it look ✨ super eager to check this video out! Thank you for the meal!
0:51thank you! and not only people look down upon anime/fantasy show fashion. i think i subconsciously do that myself as well, thinking "oh it's anime, of course what they wear is ridiculous" even though their outfits are a big part of the characters i like and sometimes the sole reason i watch the show 😭
I'm 90% sure my early anime days influenced my fashion sense and 100% yugioh is the reason I love coats, jackets, and long flowy silhouettes. I love long coats
Mizar's is fun primarily because of how much it invokes Dragon, without including Fang or Claw imagery. It helps put it in contrast with Kite, whose got more of the claws and aggression of a dragon in his style, with their rivalry being about who is the greater dragon master, it definitely adds to that dichotomy between them.
Hahhh, Yu-Gi-Oh: Can't live with it, can't live without it. Honestly surprised you went in reverse order, but it was a great shakeup from what we saw with JJBA for example- (sees how Duel Monsters or Part 1 went before GX), well almost reverse. Stuff I did enjoy was the occasional alternate art we'd get from Kazuki Takahashi (may God rest his soul), which went beyond their usual outfits and was the 90's. Despite the minor differences, I loved when the characters would deviate from the standard, such as seeing Yugi's long-sleeve black shirt and a gray vest for his battle with Duke Devlin. Spekaing of Duke, he fit in with the gang but gods do I love details like the dice earring and the makeup. Hell, I loved their casual attire for Dark Side of Dimensions: from Téa's yellow top to the more simple brown jacket for Tristan, and of course the vest and long-sleeve shirt combo for Yugi. All in all, Kazuki could cook from stuff like the bonus art to what really made the cut, even with the ones that aren't mentioned but still have that flair (Declan Akaba's look which is simple, but that color combo, as well as the flair the scarf has just reminds me he's from Yu-Gi-Oh)... damn, I want at least one of Tristan's jackets, DSOD or that red/black jacket would do. Looking forward to the next vid, and have a safe weekend!
I know you mentioned in a previous community post that you wouldn't mention every single character (understandably) but 1 character whose style I thought for sure you would like is Zigfried. He's got a fancy suit with some ruffles like Pegasus but it's purple which I thought would suit your taste more as opposed to Pegasus' red. Gotta give you a major shout out tho for going over Kalin's Dark Signer fit. That fit is so ridiculous but is also so damn cool at the same time (the crop top really reminds me of a Jojo character). And just thank you for making this video in general, Yugioh fashion is really something special and it's awesome to see someone make a whole in-depth video about it
I think my favorite in Duel Monsters are Aigami, Marik and Ishizu. There are so many cool looking characters it's hard to mention everything x) I liked hearing your take on Yu-Gi-Oh with a more fashion-oriented perspective. That real world parallels section was very interesting. Thanks for the upload!
duuuude! you really know your yu gi oh! smashing! keep up the good work, on so far yt content creator I followed on pop culture dissection, yours the creme de la creme! ❤
Context for Yugioh Sevens: It's about a different irl card game introduced after Vrains, Yugioh Rush Duel (as opposed to the original card game, Master Duel). It was introduced as a simpler game that's easier to draw in new players, especially kids, so the vibe that it's more "kiddish" is pretty accurate.
I just found your channel and it is a very nice surprise, I love how you narrate and the topic of outfits is something that I don't see much on RUclips
Oh this is great, you ate! It feels like something I didn't know I needed but now that I have it I absolutely love it. Hopefully your channel gets noticed even more by the algo because these kinds of videos are peak
When it comes to the character design of the main characters and rivals, they were following the principle of iconography in animation, by which a character is recognizable only through their silhouette. Other prominent examples for this are Micky Mouse, Spongebob, Sonic, Goku, Luffy, or every single Pokémon (just think of "Who's that Pokémon").
Yo I LOVE that you went beyond the first installement of the series and even went up to the new Rush series (yes its meant for elementary school kids. Each series is for a new group of teens. But Rush is a new card game entirely thats more simple and aimed at kids since the main game became super complicated) Rush artstyle changebis because they changed studios and the Animators arent used to 20yesrs of Yugioh style. So they adapted the same style as their other production shows aimed for little kids. Funny enough even though the Artstyle in animation is different. The product promo arts like Boxes, merch, playmats etc are still drawn in the older style. My favorite aesthetic of Yugio are Clothes folds and car spoiler jackets haha
And then we got Chazz fashion decision that we can quote for "if it don't hide the dirt then I don't want it over my shirt" while throwing away a white coat and getting back his old dirty black one
my typical very well put together fashion joice is a black shirt followed by sweatpants. Even socks, if i feel daring. With that being said I still enjoyed this video very much
Cool vid!! I honestly never considered the fashion of yu-gi-oh even though I was a big YGO girlie as a kid but this vid is making me realize why I love certain silhouettes/styling choices now 😄
You've mentioned Yu-Gi-Oh in a few videos so I'm glad you finally covered the franchise. Yu-Gi-Oh's creator has listed Jojo as a major inspiration in a few interviews, so it's fun that you picked up on the Jojo influence right away on Yu-Gi-Oh's style.
X finally wore the belted jacket or double belt look. I thought he was going to just talk about it in videos, but not be about it, lol. I'm glad I was wrong. Well done.
I love How youre always matching in visuals for the videos. Your outfit fits perfectly for a yugioh character, i Just imagine which deck archetype would you play.
When GX came out, I remember being obsessed with the Duel Academy uniforms. The jackets, the boots...to this day, I still dream of getting a set at some point. And Tyranno's boots are prime for some dino stomping, ahah. Would have liked if they also leaned on the theme, though!
Nice! That was a much longer video than expected. While it's a little sad to see the more out-there clothes take more of a back seat in later installments, it's interesting to see the progression. Initially, we get a ton of alt fashion among the more confident hardcore gamer characters, with Yami Yugi getting Yugi to dress up a bit, Mai Valentine, Duke Devlin, all repping that aethetic. Then it begins to transition more into a mix of practical and showy choices as the themes of the show vary, and then settling into the relatively normal clothing of the later series, as gaming has become more mainstream. It feels like it's a shift that's loosely tracking what might be relatable for a young audience. By the way, in the Dark Side of Dimensions movie, Yugi (aside from wearing Yami Yugi's clothing choices) briefly has a plain clothes outfit with a purple vest over a fitted lilac shirt, keeping the goth accessories. It's not super fancy, but it's pretty neat.
God X you are SERVING lately. I've always had the worst fashion ever but watching these makes it feel so fluid and fun to look at. Seeing you go through these series has been an absolute blast and I smile every time you upload. I can't wait to see what you look at next. A few that I think would be interesting might be the Dragon Quest Series (8 and 11 being the 3D ones with detailed models and tons of outfits for each character) or Ace Attorney because there's just not enough suits anymore. Either way, if you can make me watch a half hour video about concord and love it, you can make anything interesting.
Great video. I had just watched the ai reimagined JoJo and as I was watching this I got an idea. "Fashion souls " something a bit different Elden Ring has some great fashion and think it could be an intriguing video
My birthday was two weeks ago, and one of my friends got me a small replica of Bakura’s pendant, which i still think is awesome. Also my friends came together and bought me Ramlethal hat from Guilty Gear Strive, which is more fun then stylish, if anything. (It also matches my watch I got two years ago! Shout out to SuperGroupies, they make awesome stuff) Sometimes I do cosplays, and I’m definitely thinking about cosplaying Seto at some point, I love the overly dramatic jacket he has.
What a coincidence to see this show up, me and my brother are in the middle of a nostalgia driven rewatch of the original series right now. I never realized how much this show impacted my personal style, especially Kaiba and Pegasus.
As a drawer(I have been studying drawing for 2 years now outside of my job), Takahashi is a great inspiration to me, his style resonates a lot with the style I want to develop. Also, I have been playing YuGiOh TCG for 3 years now, and playing the videogames and cards without knowing the rules for 15 years jajajaja. So I am involving into YuGiOh too much jajaja. If you like those outfits, you should check some cards, especially girls in the cards, because in the anime I feel it is too men-focused. Related to the anime, my favorite is Kaiba in the movie(Dark Side of Dimensions), did you see that bitch abs?!! Incredible. Takahashi's designs remind me a lot of Jojo's part 3.
On the Go-Rush and Sevens looking more chibi and kiddish, the reason for that is that those shows are meant to advertise the "Rush Duel" version if the game, which is meant to be a bit more simplified and aimed at kids.
As you said The initial 4 installements feel the most "Yugioh" because the oroginal author was working on the character designs and super vision up until that point. He designed their iconic monsters and the main characters. Arc V and beyond is then fully made by using Kazuki Takahashi as reference material. (All seasons are great)
YOU BET I'M GONNNA WATCH ALL OF THIS ,AND WRITE NOTES ✍️ Edit:jack atlas is all about style, so like ,yessssss ,i 100% agree kiriyu(kalin) and jack are my favorites For female designs ,i like blue angel from vrains cuz i love all blues and whites , and tea (anzo) ,i aspire tobe anzo and jack all the time in trems of my fashion
A bit of a spoiler if anyone wants to watch the series but the funny thing about Jesse's alternative, edgier outfit is that it wasn't really him wearing it. He got posessed by Yubel and it seems like in their quest for love and/or multiversal anihilation one of the first thing they decided to do with the new host was to play dress-up with his body. And it is one of my favorite outfits.
Are you doing the uncut version or the American dub cut version. There’s a difference. The American dub cuts a lot out because of censorship while the Japanese version doesn’t cut anything. Also for some reason the American dub cuts a lot of religious details.
@@XDF concentrate on bust lines, religious symbols, and stuff with chests. It’s there just it’s done so subtly. It’s very prominent done with women’s clothing. I also believe the animators lengthened skirts or changed how hemlines are.
Yeah, not really seeing anything too significant either clothing-wise. I did see that Tea did have this yellow top with “SPIRIT” written across it that wasn’t in the dub, but tbh, I’m actually not that keen on it. I’ll take that mint sleeveless shirt any day of the week.
Will say though that I am not that surprised that sevens and go rush went more playful with the designs considering those two were specifically made to advertise the new rush format, konami's attempt at making a new format that wasn't as complicated as the normal OCG format so the newer generation could get into it
You could also compare the styles of characters in the anime to there manga designs as the art styles make some outfits look very different. Some outfits aren't even the same in the manga. Great video I'm so happy I found this (≧▽≦)
Can’t believe you didn’t talk about Jack Atlas’ iconic “A” earrings. He’s such a petty egotistical king, he’s got his last initial icing out his ears 😭
Mai will always be peak 2000s bad girl.
Period
She was my bi awakening
@theaudjob3267 you're so real for that. Mine was goku 😢
Sometimes the youtube algorithm gives me straight gold like recommending videos like this one😊
Love when the algo does its job
Always love how they depict Yugi x Kaiba and Yusei x Jack's character design as a rival. SO TRUE ,it almost feel like they're the blacknights of the show ,the ones who may not look like heros ,but ones who have a heart of gold
Yugioh constantly does this sorta thing. It’s even a plot point in GX, where there’s ’The Light Of Destruction’ and ‘The Gentle Darkness’
Awesome video! Fun fact: Yugioh is particularly inspired by JoJo. Takahashi said in an interview that JoJo was one of his biggest inspirations for the brand

Yes - love the Pegasus elaboration. Effortless luxury, mystery and dark edginess, all in an elegant bow.

Love those 3 for sure

Interesting - that explains a bit - thanks

Certainly a great legacy to leave behind 🙏🏽🕊️
Bleach should've collabed with yugioh. The drip potential woulda been off the charts

Yu Yu Hakusho and Yugioh have a lot of style, which makes sense when you realice their creators took JoJo's Bizarre Adventure as inspiration.
For sure
You don’t miss man the nerd culture and fashion culture both NEEDS you

0:51thank you! and not only people look down upon anime/fantasy show fashion. i think i subconsciously do that myself as well, thinking "oh it's anime, of course what they wear is ridiculous" even though their outfits are a big part of the characters i like and sometimes the sole reason i watch the show 😭
Hoping to shift perspectives one video at a time 😎
This is when i realized that quite a lot of Zexal's cool design like Astral. the Barian Emperors and Don Thousand are all just naked lol
Interesting - love that
Hahhh, Yu-Gi-Oh: Can't live with it, can't live without it.
And just thank you for making this video in general, Yugioh fashion is really something special and it's awesome to see someone make a whole in-depth video about it
Man looking back on yugioh now as an adult Kazuki Takahashi art just fucks
I think my favorite in Duel Monsters are Aigami, Marik and Ishizu. There are so many cool looking characters it's hard to mention everything x)
I liked hearing your take on Yu-Gi-Oh with a more fashion-oriented perspective. That real world parallels section was very interesting. Thanks for the upload!
Yugioh and Spyro were probably the reason i love purple now 💜
duuuude! you really know your yu gi oh! smashing! keep up the good work, on so far yt content creator I followed on pop culture dissection, yours the creme de la creme! ❤
Glad you enjoy the research and insights
Context for Yugioh Sevens: It's about a different irl card game introduced after Vrains, Yugioh Rush Duel (as opposed to the original card game, Master Duel). It was introduced as a simpler game that's easier to draw in new players, especially kids, so the vibe that it's more "kiddish" is pretty accurate.
I just found your channel and it is a very nice surprise, I love how you narrate and the topic of outfits is something that I don't see much on RUclips
Thanks for watching
If you were a Yugioh character. What outfit would you wear? Bonus points if you have a deck of choice too
So happy this channel got recommended to me again. Saw it once before with the pokemon villain outfits and am happy to sebayou again.
Thanks for taking another watch 👍🏽
Oh this is great, you ate! It feels like something I didn't know I needed but now that I have it I absolutely love it. Hopefully your channel gets noticed even more by the algo because these kinds of videos are peak
Man, I love your channel. I never thought I would have a new passion about fashion until I watch your vids
I'm so glad this video is here! I'm planning on cosplaying as Akiza next year. I've always loved her aesthetic.
I'm sure you'll pull it off perfectly 👌🏽
I really like your outfit in this video! The bands on the arm, those necklaces and the belts. So cool
Interesting - I can certainly see that
Yo I LOVE that you went beyond the first installement of the series and even went up to the new Rush series (yes its meant for elementary school kids. Each series is for a new group of teens. But Rush is a new card game entirely thats more simple and aimed at kids since the main game became super complicated)
Rush artstyle changebis because they changed studios and the Animators arent used to 20yesrs of Yugioh style.
I figured there must be context like that - thank you for sharing
And then we got Chazz fashion decision that we can quote for "if it don't hide the dirt then I don't want it over my shirt" while throwing away a white coat and getting back his old dirty black one
A suprise to be sure but a welcome one🤗
Indeed 😎
my typical very well put together fashion joice is a black shirt followed by sweatpants.
I love the existence of this video. Thank you
Thank you
Wow. Time to go watch everything youve ever made
X finally wore the belted jacket or double belt look. I thought he was going to just talk about it in videos, but not be about it, lol. I'm glad I was wrong. Well done.
I love How youre always matching in visuals for the videos. Your outfit fits perfectly for a yugioh character, i Just imagine which deck archetype would you play.
I always try to fit the theme - thanks for noticing. 🙌🏽
When GX came out, I remember being obsessed with the Duel Academy uniforms. The jackets, the boots...to this day, I still dream of getting a set at some point.
And Tyranno's boots are prime for some dino stomping, ahah. Would have liked if they also leaned on the theme, though!
Manifesting that set for you one day ✨
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
God X you are SERVING lately.
Shout out to SuperGroupies, they make awesome stuff)
Sometimes I do cosplays, and I’m definitely thinking about cosplaying Seto at some point, I love the overly dramatic jacket he has.
Always thoguht Weevil's glasses were fire
Yuma and his Yu-Gi-Oh! Is by me 🗿🥂👌🏼
Rafael and Mai could do no wrong! When I tell you I had the biggest crush on them as a kid!😩💚😂
You're spoiling us with that amount of content
Gotta spread my influence ✨️
"So Jack is..." Careful, that's my comfort jerk. "...perfect." Good.
Hmmm
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the quality, and quantity of the recent videos? I've been loving all of them! 😚🤩😍
Thanks for noticing the hustle 💪🏽
Yu-Gi-Oh's fashion is ON POINT. 👔
another banger vid! 🔥 suggesting tekken for any future video 🥰
Love it thanks for doing the research, long live yugioh!
love seeing yugioh's drip get the recognition it deserves
What a coincidence to see this show up, me and my brother are in the middle of a nostalgia driven rewatch of the original series right now. I never realized how much this show impacted my personal style, especially Kaiba and Pegasus.
Love a good coincidence
the fact yugioh actually made me goth makes so much sense
That aligns with what someone else mentioned 👍🏽
As you said The initial 4 installements feel the most "Yugioh" because the oroginal author was working on the character designs and super vision up until that point. He designed their iconic monsters and the main characters.
Arc V and beyond is then fully made by using Kazuki Takahashi as reference material. (All seasons are great)
Yu-Gi-Oh! is sharp, in all definitions.
YOU BET I'M GONNNA WATCH ALL OF THIS ,AND WRITE NOTES ✍️
Edit:jack atlas is all about style, so like ,yessssss ,i 100% agree kiriyu(kalin) and jack are my favorites
For female designs ,i like blue angel from vrains cuz i love all blues and whites , and tea (anzo) ,i aspire tobe anzo and jack all the time in trems of my fashion
Ma dude, her name is *Anzu* , *Anzu Mazaki* . "Anzo" sounds like a guy's name 😅
We getting out of Dual Academy with this one!
Seto Kaiba is peak design in my opinion.
I never thought about it but Yusei has KONAMI ORBS!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!
where would you recommend to get original yugioh accessories like the studs and arm belts or metal arm bands?
A bit of a spoiler if anyone wants to watch the series but the funny thing about Jesse's alternative, edgier outfit is that it wasn't really him wearing it. He got posessed by Yubel and it seems like in their quest for love and/or multiversal anihilation one of the first thing they decided to do with the new host was to play dress-up with his body. And it is one of my favorite outfits.
16:04: Oooooh~
I'm Mister Star Cluster
I'm Mister Stun!
I'm Mister Time Twister
I'm Mister 107!
Are you doing the uncut version or the American dub cut version. There’s a difference. The American dub cuts a lot out because of censorship while the Japanese version doesn’t cut anything. Also for some reason the American dub cuts a lot of religious details.
Neither? My pov in this video is based on mostly on aesthetics.
@@XDF the designs are different between the versions. You can tell between the photos of outfits.
I didn't notice significant differences 🤷🏽♂️
@@XDF concentrate on bust lines, religious symbols, and stuff with chests. It’s there just it’s done so subtly. It’s very prominent done with women’s clothing. I also believe the animators lengthened skirts or changed how hemlines are.
Yeah, not really seeing anything too significant either clothing-wise. I did see that Tea did have this yellow top with “SPIRIT” written across it that wasn’t in the dub, but tbh, I’m actually not that keen on it. I’ll take that mint sleeveless shirt any day of the week.
primo look like a tech priest from warhammer 40k
0:48 And say no more subscribed
Bless
Vrains don't got outfits, they got personalised VRChat avatars XD
Yep, as mentioned 👍🏽
Will say though that I am not that surprised that sevens and go rush went more playful with the designs considering those two were specifically made to advertise the new rush format, konami's attempt at making a new format that wasn't as complicated as the normal OCG format so the newer generation could get into it
Seto Kaiba's white vest just decide to ignore gravity to look stylish.
Lol, his aura knows no earthly limits
do you plan on doing jojo part 5?
I've already covered JoJo - right?
So what’s your thoughts on supreme king Jaden and season 4 jaden designs
Give this man a wig and he could be the main character. also Mai is wearing sorts not a skirt.
Y'all will have to settle for the bald version ;)
goddam! am i gonna start wearing belts?
this is your sign
You could also compare the styles of characters in the anime to there manga designs as the art styles make some outfits look very different. Some outfits aren't even the same in the manga. Great video I'm so happy I found this (≧▽≦)
yugioh, xdf gonna love i
My down bad ass clicking on the video just cause I saw Tania in the thumbnail. 🤦🏻♂
She's hard to resist
I got the Dinosaur guy and I am not complaining
Can’t believe you didn’t talk about Jack Atlas’ iconic “A” earrings. He’s such a petty egotistical king, he’s got his last initial icing out his ears 😭
So dramatic - yeah, theyre cool
Oh sis is about to send us to the Shadow realm
Her name is Mai, not May. Her name is supposed to be read as "My Valentine".
Accidents happen - we get it..
Surpised none of Marik made it here.
You shouldnt be ;)
What's stoping our civilization from dressing like yugioh characters everyday?🤔
Brokeness
People just haven't caught up yet 😌
People want to be discreet about their BDSM activities
Whoever don't respect the Yugioh fashion is simply crazy.
Yu-Gi-Oh is literally twink Jojo's 😂😂
.. why does the girl chara in sevens dress like an older teen compared to the digimon protag looking dudes in that lineup
