I use the R13 66mm stock barrel for Bb classical shenanigans. I use a Backun Fatboy 65mm+ for Bb clarinet commercial/jazz and for A clarinet classical/orchestral (the "plus" barrel has less resistance which is great for moving more air). I own a MoBa barrel, but my clarinet professor was NOT a fan; HOWEVER, she allowed me to come to the conclusion that it wasn't the sound I thought I was looking for (too tubby).
Thank you. Have you tried the MOBA cocobolo barrel. You notice a difference. It is all a matter of preference. I’ve played R13s from the seventies It’s a great horn. Probably the best selling clarinet on the planet! God bless you Bill - UK
Fobes San Francisco Virtuoso, BG L4SR Super Revelation atop 3 horns. Sorry not a Buffet player. Backun Q, Selmer 10g and a Yamaha Custom YCL CX (YCL 851) all with stock barrels. I also own a Jimmy Yang Barrel that I don't use. Foul weather horns incluse a Normandy 4 and a Selmer Signet 100. I prefer the Q for orchestral/classical where I want to be dark. I prefer the 10g for swing and dixieland. The CX projects the most and I don't use it much anymore but I guess if I had to solo I might pull it out. After seeing this video I may try out the Fatboy. Thanks for posting it. Happy playing.
I use the D’Addario Reserve X10 mouthpiece and I like it very much. I have the Fobes synthetic barrel that I use as well.
The new barrel sounds more even between and seems easier to play between the registers.

Oh I didn't see that plus option! I'll have to look into that. haha not shade from the clarinet professor 🤣
I still like the classic sound of the r13 stock barrel.

I really want to get a Selmer as my next clarinet! But of course the ones I love are so expensive haha
Reed used?
I hear the difference, but is it from the barrel or from you?
The barrel!! You just heard it🤣🤣
Regular barrel is much better... Sry
I agree 💯
