My family LOVES Abney and Teal. We still do. It was my favourite out of the Bedtime Hour. There’s an episode called The Summerhouse where Abney builds a summerhouse on the dock of their island and him and Teal end up floating to another island when they fall asleep. Still thinking that they’re still on their island, they go back to their home to find their tree shrunk and home gone. Abney then hilariously goes in a panic-filled rant and starts running around going “My house is gone! My house, my house!”. That bit sent me, and mostly my dad, to pieces. He still talks about it to this day whenever someone brings the show up. 😂
2:17 I actually love The Adventures Of Abney & Teal. When me & my little brother were younger, we used to watch the show, every single time, I'd eat porridge like them every single time, Me & my brother even made a nest like them on my parent's bed. There was also that one time, when we were watching that radio episode, I would turn it up at full volume, & me & my brother would start dancing around like crazy. Good times!

Then I ended up seeing the theme song on a playlist and all these nostalgic memories of the series came rushing through my brain 🤣

The shows' pictures are from Prime Video or made by myself using a Prime Video template, so that's why the logos are small. Thank you! 4:42 Ah yes, Numberblocks, my favourite show teaching people about the alphabet. Also I remembered the Big and Small web game becoming a massive internet meme last year lol
Fireman Sam was on Cbeebies back in the 2000s (the first three seasons included) But the CGI series wasn't on Cbeebies however And LazyTown was brought over to Cbeebies in 2006. So back in the day, it would air on both Nick Jr. And Cbeebies everyday And seeing all of the OG Cbeebies show being in never watched is making me feel like a fossil
This resurfaced a lot of memories. I'll just list a few of the shows I quite enjoyed when I was younger. Certainly my favourite was 'Do you know?' I don't remember if that was a Cbeebies show or not though. It was quite educational and is still a pretty good watch, even now when I'm older. I don't really remember anything that cringy about the show looking back, aside from it was incredibly educational, and was good at keeping things technical, but still comprehensive enough to understand it. The only cringy thing I can remember from it is the childs voice at the start of each animated segment showing the innerworkings of whatever it was, aside from that it was pretty good. Up there was Topsy and Tim. Again another one I occasionally still go and watch. It was very grounded, and I think the realistic take they decided to go with was quite a refreshing take, especially comparing it to a lot of the other shows. I never personally read the original books, but I assume the realistic take comes from there. For the most part the only things I really found incredibly cringey on my last rewatch was the memory game at the end of every Series 1 Episode. There some others I quite enjoyed as well. (Mr. Tumble, the one with I think the same actor for Mr. Tumble and he'd constantly be switching characters, there was the game show on that pirate ship, Duggie, Bing, James something, yeah it is a lot of memories.) The rest I don't remember much of. I do remember Melody, the one with Bernard Cribbins, and a few others. Although not much.
For the love of god, The adventures of abney and teal was my favourite show growing up but I could never remember the name of it. Thanks for restoring a cornerstone of my childhood ❤

your childhood is like an exact mirror to mine down to the Milkshake name drop and everything I'll remember to watch this if I ever get high or something
24:52 "Ruby", eh, not too bad, but it's Xuli (she has the white fringe). The other Go Jetter you forgot was Lars (tall, red and white suit, he is precious) Ah, the absolute nostalgia of these gems!
Me Too I just remember as Balamory in the city. This is because there's an entire area yet all of the characters only seem to interact with one another, there were two main characters each episode, the main one and the side one (The teacher in Balamory and the one who the parents let take care of children (and dog in the case of the doctor (IIRC)) in Me Too), each of the main characters had a song. Each of the main characters had a job (I think it was train food server, Bus Cleaner, Doctor, Taxi Driver (Tina, my absolute fave), Teacher (Who was basically the PC Plum) and a blind food stall salesman (Played by that one guy who's on Strictly now)
Fun fact: Bill & Ben the flower pot twins were the inspiration for Bill & Ben the China clay twins from Thomas & friends + the flower pot twins first appeared on Tv screens in the 1950’s
Idc care if you put Alphablocks in C (or the fact that you called it Numberblocks), I’m just glad it was mentioned at all. No one ever mentions it. Also I’m glad Hey Duggee was here too IT IS PEAK CHILDRENS MEDIA. I love all of the Squirrels (with Tag & Roly being my favorites, THEY’RE ICONS 💅) and the background characters are great (ALL HAIL KING TIGER). Cant forget to mention the titular dog and his pet cat (how???). I’m legitimately curious about the narrator though. Hot take but I think Hey Duggee is WAY better than Bluey. I wish there was a Duggee movie. Once you hear the first few notes of the intro, you know you’re in for a good time.

The show came to a dramatic end as makka pakka, one of the lead cast, tragically died of a heroin overdose.

the amount of memories this brung back is unreal
I cant wait to watch balamory again that was my kid show :D also you should do a video of you visiting it its called tobermory in Scotland 🏴
i remember so many of these
thank you for this video for reminding me 😌
🫡
this is so nostalgic i remember all of the old shows
brilliant video. just saying some of the shows that you put in never watched are true classics. Andy Pandy was as brilliant and Boogie Beebies was excellent as it was rerun for more than five years. some good nostalgia here :)
STOP I LOVED 64 ZOO LANE
This is the funniest video ive ever seen tbh, what a banger!
Bro this guy never watched Charley bear. the abolute GOAT!!!
your childhood is like an exact mirror to mine down to the Milkshake name drop and everything
I'll remember to watch this if I ever get high or something
Final comment technically Fireman Sam is a Cbeebies show but they only aired the 5th series back in the day for some reason.
Strange???
Ohhhh ok thanks
24:52 "Ruby", eh, not too bad, but it's Xuli (she has the white fringe). The other Go Jetter you forgot was Lars (tall, red and white suit, he is precious)
Ah, the absolute nostalgia of these gems!
Bro the nostalgia hit me like a truck!
Thank god for Teletubbies and bob the builder 🗣🔥🔥
Opinions on Woolly and Tig + Charlie and Lola?
Also love your content I'll be watching more mate 😊
Lazytown was my favourite show as a toddler and it still is today especially with the song WE ARE NUMBER 1 AND YOU ARE A PIRATE
I always loved Spencer from Balamory. "MAKE YA LIL EYES GO POP!"
The big and small game and the lingo show games were so good , I played those games more then I watched the shows
You put In the Night Garden in S Tier. For that alone, i'm subscribing.
Number blocks and Number Jacks hit different 🔥
Those Moai guys from the Zigzillas keeps appearing to in my lucid dreams.
The zinzillas were elete
This is not how you spell elite
@@JosephLeonardMcGregor The Zigzillas, not the Zinzillas.
Oh I guess I spelt that wrong too 😂
@@JosephLeonardMcGregorWhere is it on your list?
Me Too I just remember as Balamory in the city.
This is because there's an entire area yet all of the characters only seem to interact with one another, there were two main characters each episode, the main one and the side one (The teacher in Balamory and the one who the parents let take care of children (and dog in the case of the doctor (IIRC)) in Me Too), each of the main characters had a song.
Each of the main characters had a job (I think it was train food server, Bus Cleaner, Doctor, Taxi Driver (Tina, my absolute fave), Teacher (Who was basically the PC Plum) and a blind food stall salesman (Played by that one guy who's on Strictly now)
Finally, a Tier list for TRUE Cinema
Fun fact: Bill & Ben the flower pot twins were the inspiration for Bill & Ben the China clay twins from Thomas & friends
+ the flower pot twins first appeared on Tv screens in the 1950’s
Bro i remember around 2016 when i was 4 watching abney and teal it brongs back so many memories :)
29:00 THAT'S A REALLY FREAKING GOOD MAKKA PAKKA IMPRESSION-
Andy pandy was 73 years old it was made in 1950
Edit:TYSM for replyin to my comment ❤❤
That’s probably why I don’t remember it cos I’m actually not a grandad
There was also a remake of it that came out in 2002 and aired til 2005
@@JosephLeonardMcGregorAndy Pandy got Remade in the early 2000s & that's the one on this tier list
@Mondaysreallysuck that's what I was talkin bout
32:48 THE LINGO SHOW MENTIONED 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
It's such a breath of fresh air knowing someone else also remembers this show and enjoys it
Numberjacks was my personal favourite show as a kid. I didnt even care about the maths lessons i just liked seeing the meanies.
BALAMORY WAS AN ABSOLUTE BANGER
🎶BAAAAAALAAAAAAAMOOOOORRRRRRYYYYYYY 🎶
Once you hear the first few notes of the intro, you know you’re in for a good time.
agreed
Who remembers Numberjacks? That was literal nightmare fuel for 5-year old me
me and him have the same energy when it comes to childrens tv nostalgia
2:09 thanks man i loved this show when i was younger and for fuckin years ive been trying find it just for memories thsnks man for including this plus i agree 64 64 zoo lane was a banger and i totaly loved the theme of these classic kid shows
Edit: baby jake was a banger and I mean bangerrrrrr glad this video was in my recommendations
I watched some of those shows as a kid!
That show with the museum time traveler guy, baby Jake, and the show with the shrinking grandpa should be in S tier
Aside from that I remember watching the Spanish version when I was 4, it's really sad they shut the channel down 3 years ago here in the US
Ur thinking of Andy’s dino adventure lol
Also I did not know CEEBEBIES was a US channel too!!
@@JosephLeonardMcGregor yeah I think that's the one
Go Jetters was PEAK

@@edenanimates1465why not
