Absolutely love your tutorials. I watch some of them for many times and take notes. Probably I will revisit them. You are a wonderful teacher and a very positive person. You make learning with you such a pleasure. Thank you!
Wow Inalways struggle with the selection tools for not selecting properly, now with the pen tool I got the problem solved! Best selection tool ever! Thank you
Little advice. 1) at the end, try to remove as much points as possible to get a smooth path. 2) if you need to move the whole path, use the direct selection tool. The black arrow.
nice tuto reminding all foundations and problems which could occur during drawing.... I prefer this ctrl/alt method to the methods with black and white arrows,... How would you feather, blur the edges for realistic composition ? select>modify>feather menu on the floating selection and blur tool on layer mask edges ?
See, I watch these for the little tips. I know the pen tool and use it a lot, but that "rubberband" bit... how did I miss it? Thank you for that one! Also it's always good to have a refresher. Wish I had this series when I was starting.
Aaron, great tutorial. Question, how do you know where to place the point, especially when you are coming to a curve? Also, when you come to a little dip in a straight line? Thanks again
I've now watched the same 5 seconds at least 5 times just trying to see what I'm missing as Aaron says "click and drag." I swear that's what I'm doing, but it's apparently not.
@@e.christopherclark7367 As other people pointed out, you can use the curvature pen, which is far easier and (as far as I know -> i don't know nothing) it does the same job.
I am finding editing a path after creation very frustrating and hard. I found out through trial and error, that to make a selection using right click, you must be in the path/direct selection tool, but not I have a different issue. Whenever I try to add a point by holding alt (i'm on pc btw) to add a point, it is just duplicating the path. What can I do??
I understand your frustration! Editing paths can be tricky at first, but don't worry, there's a simple explanation for the duplication issue. Holding Alt (Option on Mac) with the Pen Tool duplicates the currently selected anchor point, not creating a new one. Here's how to add a new point the way you want: Make sure you're not accidentally clicking on an existing anchor point. If you do, it will become selected (indicated by a small square around it). Hover your cursor over the path where you want the new point. The Pen Tool icon should change to a simple "+" sign. Click at that location to create a new anchor point. Let us know how it goes and if you need further help!🤗
I have loved these tutorials. Thank you for them. However, you lose me precisely at the 6:03 point where you begin your curve. What precisely are you doing to initiate the curve? I clicked and I dragged out, but when I pull the line to the right, no curve appears. What am I missing?
When I pen tool the shape I just get a hollow layer instead of the path I create. I just want to clip out parts of the picture but Premiere updated itself and I won't let me do what I simply did anymore.
It took me a while to figure it out how to use that tool. anyway i was not satisfied with the result i created. hopefully there is curvative pen tool and it actually fits me better than the first one.
Hi Aaron. I want to kindly ask you one thing. Do you mind if I'll be uploading your 30 days of Photoshop series translated into Russian and with my voice over on my RUclips channel? There are not so much decent tutorials for Photoshop in Russian. And I thought your new series of 30 days are amazing! I'm a graphic designer, and I know Photoshop pretty well, and I'll be glad if you can confirm such request 🙏 I just want to give best content for Russian part of RUclips. Thank you so much anyways 👋
Hey Robert! It can be overwhelming to learn new tools, but we are here to help! Send us an email with your particular issue and our team will do their best to help you out!
The pen tool is a confusing mess. Using Photoshop CC 2020 does not operate like the version you are on. Click and drag does not produce another line like you have illustrated. Love your videos, but you make it like it's easy...for the rest of us...it's NOT! Adobe leaves a lot to be desired.
Thank you, Jan, thank you Tom. This is the first time in my life that I try adobe photoshop, thanks to Aaron, and I learned a lot. I think he explained everything very carefully, even for a person as ignorant as myself with these tools. This time, apparently I really wasn't able to do as Aaron says. With your suggestion, it's far easier!
Thank you for the 30 days of Photoshop and also thank you for offer something cool like this for free!
This is the best tutorial i ever saw on using the pen tool. Everyone always time-lapse this part.

Can you make a video on how to make photos on a solid background look more natural? I.e. Make it look like these cookies were shot on a teal seamless?
