Thank you for this AMAZING tutorial! I bought a janome 4 needle and have had it for a few days but have been very hesitant until I found this tutorial! Can’t wait to get it up and running!
I am happy to hear you found this video. I know it scary when You spend a lot of money on a machine and want make sure your doing everything right. Have fun with your machine. I love mine.
@@Lelesdesigns I have been able to wind a bobbin… I formatted my usb but basically it is showing the usb but something under it has a ❌ I thought it was the bobbin
I was interested in this exact unit and contacted the seller online. She recommended I not purchase this because she said there was a lot of returns. Is that your experience since you’ve had it for a few years. Just checking to see if she just wanted me to buy a more expensive unit. This machine is much more affordable. Thank you!
I'm happy with my machine. You have to watch the salespeople as they will try to push other machines on you. You might also join the different Facebook groups for example janome mb4 elna sew and embroidery, and see what others have to say and you can check things they stitched out.
great video, I just bought the Elna and still haven't started it. I have problems with usb flash drive. Which one did you use? And how did you put your logo on the screen? Thank you !
delete all that is on your flash drive and then put it in your elna wait about 3 mins take it out and then insert to your computer and your ready to transfer files to it. any flash drive.
Hello! Thanks for this video! Until now, I have embroidered by hand so I have a question about the bobbin thread. On a regular sewing machine, the bobbin thread color matches the upper thread. Is it the same with this? How do you choose which color to use or do I always use white? I didn't see you prepare the bobbin, so now I'm in doubt if it's even needed. If not, why is a bobbin included on the machine? Thanks so much!!
Most of the time I use white. I hardly use any other color. though it all depends what you are stitching it on if its dark material or light. also what color thread you are using.
Any issues?? I've seen allot of people with complications regarding the needle breaking? Don't know if I should buy the brother persona... babylock alliance.. or this multiple janome ???
Some people will experience thread break from A very low quality thread, Improperly inserting needle. Not changing you needle when you should, bobbin problems, etc etc. The Machine is not the problem its usually the user. Believe me I was guilty of it with my singer embroidery machine and have learned over the years its cheaper to buy 100 organ needle and replace them when need too and buy better quality thread and have less headaches. Since getting this machine I have experience one problem and I realized It was my fault as I put one of the needle in backwards and now I know how to correctly put them in and this machine stitches beautifully. I love mine. I cannot answer you on the brother or babylock as I never had a chance to try them out.
it really depends on what you are embroidering if its light fonts or designs then use tear away. if heavier use cutaway medium weight. Soon I will be doing a video on this. best thing to do is test stitch thing out. My favorite thread is Robison Anton and Maderia
I am sorry I do not. You might want to join the facebook group janome mb4 and the elna as there is a lot of great helper from other owner of the machine. plus you can put up your photo you have of the problem in there
I've watched 9 videos and no one has shown me what to do with the bobbin. I put thread on it and then what? I'm not sure why every video stops there. What's the bobbin for? Is it supposed to be used some how or just sit in the door?
it can do a letter that size but a 1.5 cm is really too small for a logo. the smaller a design is the more it looks like a blob and you lose any detail.
Thanks!
wow Thank You so much! I truly do appreciate it
I took my machine out of the box, followed this video and was stitching immediately. Thank you.
Glad it helped!

Great video! You're really a good teacher. Do you know if there are any larger hoops than the M1 that are compatible with this machine?
You can get the mighty hoop which is 8 x 13 but it will embroider any bigger than the m1 size
@@Lelesdesigns It won't embroider any larger than the M1?
I know it’s been 2 years but who dis you buy your machine from
I bought it from www.sewingmachinesplus.com
What software do you use to create your designs?
What kind of thread and stabilizer would you recommend for cotton shirts?
it really depends on what you are embroidering if its light fonts or designs then use tear away. if heavier use cutaway medium weight. Soon I will be doing a video on this. best thing to do is test stitch thing out. My favorite thread is Robison Anton and Maderia

@@Lelesdesigns any recommendations for embroidery software for this machine specifically?
Bonjour. Je viens d acquérir cette même brodeuse. J ai un problème avec la canette du bas. Auriez vous fait un tuto ?
Merci Charlotte .☺️

Est ce que pour les casquettes , le cadre est tubulaire?
No, it is not tubular. I show the hat hoop in the video @ 8:08 to 8:15
I've watched 9 videos and no one has shown me what to do with the bobbin. I put thread on it and then what? I'm not sure why every video stops there. What's the bobbin for? Is it supposed to be used some how or just sit in the door?
The manual will show picture that is probably better than what you can see on a video
Wow
Thanks!
Hello how are you ? Do you know anyone selling one with payments
I am fine. HOpe all is well with you. You might look into www.sewingmachinesplus.com/
Does the machine comes with “Digitizing Software?”
No
Hi what bobbin thread do you use?
Robison Anton polyester for bobbin
Is this cheaper than the janome?
No I believe its the same price.
Can you make construction caps 🧢 here?
I can do caps but I don't think I can do really stiff hats. I will soon doing a video on it
Hello Mam How much did you buy this Machine?

Can it make a small logo of 1.5cm²?
it can do a letter that size but a 1.5 cm is really too small for a logo. the smaller a design is the more it looks like a blob and you lose any detail.
Can the Elna 940 embroider a computer bag?
yes, I would suggest getting mighty hoop as it will make hooping so much easier. Here is the video on it ruclips.net/video/Wv4YxYdaplI/видео.html
Is jenome just like elna embroidery machine? Thx
Its the exact same machine. only difference you will find is the name
Price?
amzn.to/3BqkLv9
Is elna same as janome
Yes, Elna 940 and Janome Mb-4s is the same exact machine the only difference is the label.
@@Lelesdesigns Are they the same price? I see the Janome link but not the Elna??
