I am approaching 80 years and music has been such a part of the joy in my life, especially choral Christian music. This rendition of Here Am I, Lord so blesses my soul! I have been taking care my wife of 61 years who has had dementia for 13 years and is now in Alzheimer stage and no longer able to be a part of public worship or sing in the choir as my wife and I did for so many years. We so miss it. It is such a blessing to have the music of RUclips help in our private worship at home. Thanks be to God!

I am the flutist and You are correct...I was wearing a cummerbund. Our handbell choir played earlier in the service and it was part of our uniform. I was also very pregnant with my son!

Seeing as God is the most important being ever, I don't see what's wrong with being committed to Him. You can't get to Heaven without it.
We sang this in our U.S. Army Chapel in Wiesbaden, Germany. It always brought tears to my eyes and a challenge to my heart...one of the best Christian hymns.
This hymn, written by a Roman Catholic priest of the Jesuit order, has become a favorite hymn in all faith communities, and when one listens to this Presbyterian choir perform it, it becomes obvious why that is so.
So true , i have just listened to a version ot the song , sung by the National Choir of Scotland at Dunblane Presbyterian Church of Scotland .

Pope John Paul II used to sing this song with youngsters on his visit to Australia. This song always reminds me of the event and His role model in proclaiming the Good News.
It was our theme song for one of the Cursillos on which I was a team member. We were blessed to have one of our team members who was active in a sacred hula group and she and her daughters performed this for one of the programs and that was one of the most beautiful ways of 'singing' this. I can remember only parts of it as I took hula as a child.
I am Christian and living in Moslem country, I am pretty sad with many people from the west who never believe in GOD - Jesus anymore. But I am still bless them, amen

This anthem is absolutely beautiful. As usual, Samuel has orchestrated the organ registrations to blend flawlessly with the piano and flute accompaniment. Choir and instruments are superb in this BEAUTIFUL anthem. Thanks for such a blessing.

This is breathtakingly beautiful! I am trying very hard to raise $3 million dollars for a facility for mentally and physically disabled adults and children who are losing the building their programs been in for 58 years.
