(Might have a detail or two off but that's how it was explained to me, and how it was reexplained 100 times since everyone sees it as their duty to mention this fact on every reaction to this video, guess it's just my turn. 😂)
Plus as for Shogo. He had Pain Resistance but the reason for his screams of agony was because geld had been striking his soul with every punch and rot, and there was a chance his soul would’ve been destroyed. That’s actually the only reason why Razen could break his soul to begin with.
For a little bit of context, because Fire Force is hype af... Most of the characters in the show are Pyrokinetic. There are three seperate generations (or types) of Pyrokinetics. Shinra can't wear shoes beause his feet where his flames come from. He can fly, do crazy kicks, and eventually he starts doing some Flash type shit, the hand signs he does help power his flames up (Don't ask, it's a whole thing). Charon on the other hand, his pyro ability is essentially converting kinetic energy into explosive power. Any hit he takes, he converts and boosts that into blasts (Think Black Panther's suit in the MCU). Charon is unironically one of the coolest fucking characters in all anime. Mans is so strong that it took the full force of an atomic blast to take him out of a fight, and it still didn't kill him. Look up the clip "Charon reflects the Nataku Bomb" on this site. It's awesome. I'm not gonna defend the gorilla thing, but I will say that Shinra calls everyone that, and anime in general tends to use it when they want to make fun of people that are very strong.

@@huhreally5771 No one likes lucky lecher. If there's any major criticism I have about Fire Force, it's the sexualization of Tamaki. It's always been strange when anime uses that trope but it was additionally odd in Fire Force.

Oh fun detail the anime didn't show right was that guy who fought Hakurou didn't launch copies of his sword, he had a dummy sword that blasted tiny fragments of metal literally thousands of tiny pieces and not even one hit the old man.
Plus the guy accelerated his thought process by 1000 so the brief moment the brain has removed from the body felt like a miniature eternity before it slowly faded into foggyness and then nothing.

One last comment. Charon hit Shinra so hard he did a 360 and did NOT change positions. He was standing before he got hit and was in the same standing position; just upside down after the blow landed.
To be fair tho, everyone in anime call really physically strong people gorillas. It could defintely be a racial thing, but anytime someone is dominating someone like donkey kong would or king kong, thats usually the terminology used.

They scaled it back because who would fuck with them after what they did? Plus we seem to ignore the fact they got invaded, had a good chunk of their citizens killed; including the head secretary. Not to mention the soldiers were wild with the let's pillage that bitch talk. It's not like the Tempest Federation just decided to genocide the Church because they were monsters. They went for blood because they got invaded, killed, and had an army of 20,000 coming to pillage what remained.
Rimuru is the perfect example of "F around and find out." The whole series all he wanted was to live a peaceful life. The guy already was strong even if you take away his magic due to all his skills. Then they did all this while he was gone. Rimuru stood where the attack happened for 3 whole days talking with Great Sage trying to find a way to bring them back. Once he got his revenge, became a demon lord, and revived everyone, he split humans into the good ones and the bad ones and decided that the bad ones could be dealt with.

Bleach Senbonzakura is a bit different. It is a single sword that morphs into cherry blossom petals that are razor sharp. The Senbonzakura bankai becomes a giant void where walls of swords lock both the master and the opponent in the realm, the master can take a sword form the wall as the wall is made of multiple usable swords. The scene you saw is more akin to the cherry blossom petals floating and being used to attack.
