I’ve been replaying Shadow the Hedgehog this past week for the first time since it released, so this is a pleasant surprise. I never thought we’d hear from Black Doom again. Hope they give him a similar Dr.Claw/Megatron voice. Very cheesy but fun.

@@chrange9714 You keep saying "you" as if everyone else but you hated it, despite it selling quite well, and large portion of Sonic fans actually liking the game in the grand scheme of things. People who aren't into Sonic that much might not like it, but people into the franchise, the lore, and the characters usually tend to like it.
If you look closely at the part where he is fighting this G.U.N robots, you will quickly realize that Shadow isn't a skin of sonic, he has his OWN GAMEPLAY finally.
Hopefully he has more adventure styled controls that would be sweet.
Nah, that scene doesn't show anything, that's just his homing attack remade into a tp animation and I am pretty sure the swipe he does is just the frontiers parry animation lmao??
@@MetaVuijon the flow is clearly different, sonic's homing attack is much faster.
@@MetaVuijoni think you misunderstood the meaning of sonic skin, in the past games he has been playable in he has just been a reskin of sonic (looking at sonic forces) but with a different voice.

@@johnpett1955 He's talking about the stuff being referenced here. There's the Biolizard, SA2 stages, and of course Shadow The Hedgehog '05 stuff which is often considered an "adventure-style" game. So yeah, Generations is a boost game, but this is specifically having a ton of Adventure-era callbacks.

To those wondering about where Classic Shadow is. He's still in containment. The timeline split with Adventure, so in the Classic timeline, Shadow is still in containment
there was no timeline split, it went from s1,2,3&k,M,some stuff in the middle,SA1,SA2,etc (but yes he was still in containment and even then he was very big, so the only way for classic shadow to exist is for silver to kidnap him for no reason)
There is no classic Shadow kid and there has never been one quit lying on the net
@@game_projectionsthere literally is a timeline split lmao, generations caused classic sonic to be from a different dimension, which is why modern sonic wasn't affected by the events, and why mania occured, mania didn't happen in the original timeline, but it did in this new dimension, and then that sonic got transported to forces, returned afterwards and then superstars takes place, there quite literally is 2 sonic timelines going on rn

Sonic generations is my favourite game of all time, and to see it get a remaster NOW is perfect, and could be telling of what direction Sega might be taking the brand.
I cannot properly express my excitement for this.
I was kinda hoping it wouldn't just be an episode Shadow, but I'm actually happy that we are getting this.
Sonic Generations is my favorite Sonic game, and Shadow is my favorite character. This was made for me!
Shadow used Chaos Spear so there's gonna be more than new stages it seems

@@sometf2player752Cyberspace had solid levels because they are just reskins of pre-existing levels from Unleashed, Generations and even Sonic Adventure 2, ironically enough. This game already uses the Generations levels it originally had, so what I'm guessing is that the levels are going to be original or remixes of Shadow '05's levels.

This is hype. The fact they added Shadow stuff after being in a pretty big neglect without real Shadow ANYTHING for a LONG time is awesome.
But, I hope they rework the controls and add a few more levels to include some stuff from the games since Colors. I know they’re not amazing games by any means (aside from Frontiers), but I still feel like it would be fitting to do.

@@FungiGamer not in terms of the mainline games, I don’t feel. I think his last appearance was in Generations (no, Forces doesn’t count), and even then he’s only a boss. I know he’s in every single spin-off, but when it comes to ACTUAL Shadow stuff, it’s been a while.

They took one of my favorite Sonic games and added playable Shadow, and by the looks of it, GOOD playable Shadow. They're really gonna turn this game into absolute perfection for me.

So i would like to point out that in the Twitter Takeover for colors, they confirmed Doom's Eye was alive.
So that may not be a time-appropriate Doom's Eye, but the current one trying to capitalize on the Time Eater debacle to try and resurrect the Black Arms by giving Black Doom of the past information on the present.
Or it is past Black Doom from Shadow the Hedgehog being thrown into the current time by the Time Eater with Eggman using it to open rifts and tear through time and space

Sonic Generations was my first bought game ever and I loved it. This remaster will be HYPE. And time to 100% it again.
Finally after 12+ years, the official Sonic Generations DLC is here. I mean not that anyone cared or asked about it back in 2011, RIGHT SEGA.
Excited for this release. What really makes things better is the fact Sins of a Divine Mother released Broken and All of Me on Spotify, which are lost tracks from Shadow the Hedgehog.
2024 will be the year of Shadow, and hopefully we'll get more love for Shadow as the year goes on.

@@NeroV1L3 It's still on Xbox Series X through Backwards Compatibility, and even has the FPS Boost to play at 60fps just like Unleashed on Series X (though unfortunately one hook in Chemical Plant Modern is bugged with FPS Boost on meaning you can't take that route).

I wasnt sure how to feel about a generations re-release, but when I saw shadow would be fighting Doom, I got instantly hooked. shadow the hedgehog (game) is always under the radar in modern games, so its gonna be very neat to see some of that game in a modern style.
