Superb review bro. Kia Seltos provides great features even in their basic, basic+1 models but disappointed with Tata's cost cutting going to the extent of even removing hand rest in their mid-range variant

It is really disappointing that this almost 13.5-14L on-road variant lacks many essential/good to have features like front armrest, rear seat armrest, 60:40 split seat, rear Type-C socket, rear defogger etc. to get those all features Tata wants us to upgrade with the fearless variant by paying an extra 1L (on road). For me paying around 14.5-15 L (on road) doesn't make really sense especially with that noisy engine, poor fit-finish and poor after sales service. The Brezza ZXI+ or Xuv300 W8(O) still are the better options.

@@64_K Armrest can only be installed by aftermarket shops and original armrest is going to cost you a lot. That fabric Armrest part is 8000 rupees alone and rest of the assembly is about 3000 rupees.

I was waited almost 6 months for facelift of Nexon. However i was badly disappointed the way Tata nexon priced. I was planning for mid variant creative+ s. After seeing price chart i was in dilemma whether to book..Because creative+s 15.20 on road Bangalore. Fearless is 16.80 . Specification wise 1.2 litre with just 3 cylinders. Not sure whether this is value of money. Because spending sub suv for 15 to 17 lakhs Can someone suggest me whether to book this vehicle or with go for creta) hyrider/grand vitara or seltos 2nd base model. Which offer's 1.5 litre and comfort also drum breaks. You get it in 15 lakhs budget.Because i will be booking today evening.

Honestly speaking tata has done fabulous job in upgrading nexon. The exteriors and interiors looks really nice and impressive.
But the biggest deal breaker for me was it's engine and it still is. I was in love with it until I drove.
I've taken test drive of every competitive cars (Venue, Sonet, Brezza, Nexon, Punch etc) except XUV 300.
And hands down the Brezza has best engine and drive quality. This is what I personally felt and it's features are more practical than nexon fancy features.
Booked brezza zxi on the same day.

@@vikasverma4867 the thing is I'm purchasing Brezza for driving it and to go from one place to another.
Unfortunately I'm not purchasing it to CRASH in the road and cities so yeah the god will save me.
My father has been driving a Maruti Suzuki 800, (for your reference a 0 star mini car) from 18 years, and guess what we never get any dent on our car, not a single dent!
So yeah if God can save me on a 0 star mini car I can be very well saved in a big size 4 star car.
And for your reference we've travelled to different states with our 800, drove it on hills to desserts at higher speeds of 100-120 kmph. But as I said earlier we've purchased that car for driving from one place to another only and not to crash into other cars or trucks like you so we never had any problem with that.
Now to add on that let me tell you one more thing that with maruti even after 18 years we never had any part availability or road side mechanical work issue, and again with maruti we'll never have that!
Adding to that the resale value, refinement, and reliability of maruti engines is no match for any other competitor at least for Me.
P.s- every car in gncap is tested for safety at the speed of 64 so the person like you who is purchasing a car for CRASHING into TRUCKS or trying to FLY with it from a FLYOVER, should be praying to save yourself from God not me dear.

Lack of basic features and including gimmicky features shows the lack of engineering expertise. The alignment and panel gaps has become a trademark thing for Tata. When Honda introduced touch controls, there was so much of criticism they had to remove it 5th gen. I feel for this on road price, i would opt for Elevate. Tata has proved on their safety and technology front but where they lack is reliable engine, service, overall fit n finish, interior quality, lack of basic features!
