- In todays video we start breaking down the caravans, our abandoned cars get taken away, we start getting the land ready for our shipping container to be delivered and we test out our new outdoor, solar, cooking set up!

I used to be a gardener and can tell you (now its too late) that willow roots will run to water even if that source is quarter mile away. Fully grown willows can drink about thirty gallons of water a day. Everything that you can recycle, one way or another can put money back into your funds.
I watched all your videos tonight, and think you're absolutely amazing, what a great challenge, but the reward and satisfaction you'll get when you've finished will be huge. Keep going you're doing a brilliant job, I hope to book a cabin when it's done.

I've just binged watched all your videos. Amazing and inspiring. I got overwhelmed at times looking at the jobs you were tackling, so well done! Do you have a plan on the order of what jobs to do to get to the end?
Thanks so much for watching H 😄 We have a rough idea in our heads. We are fitting the renovating around our day jobs, so we have limited time currently (we are wedding photographers so about to go into our 2 busiest months but come September we will be full focused on the renovation) so our current plan is to have all the caravans gone by September, then we will decide where we want to build our first cabin, then start work on that - with the hope we will be in by Christmas, so we won't have to spend winter in the caravan haha!

We are going to build a small timber frame cabin (built within the spec of a park home) for us to live in, hopefully we can be ready to move into it by Christmas, so we won't freeze in the caravan 🤣 then we can build two more on our land, which we'd like to rent out and do some seasonal glamping in the summer too 😄

My first thought on making access easier was to simply cut off that entire end. But removing the window was good too, and needed to be done at some point anyway. I'm impressed that you got the entire mobile home cleared out, cut up, and even separated it all by things like recycling type, in a single hot day. Oh, to be young.
Really love what your doing, Buy a small tractor with a front end loader and a slasher. Eventually the cost will be but a memory and you will thank me forever, I wish we had got one in the beginning above all else 😊
Jon was looking at a tractor auction last week! haha, sadly they were out of our budget but we can dream :)

Thanks so much Stevo! The Jag sadly had a completely rotten chassis, also didn't have any keys haha. We loved the idea of someone bringing it back to life but the people that enquired on tiktok about buying it to try and fix up, changed their minds, so we decided to recycle it so we could get them gone and use the money towards our renovation :)

You're living the dream! It's also particularly good to see how carefully you've been sorting through everything, trying to recycle as much as possible. I've seen so many property clearance videos where they just throw everything into a giant skip just to be rid of it and it does my head in!

The old roof and siding would be good to repurpose for a shed or even your outhouse.

There are some videos on RUclips, showing that if you wrap a strap around the stump then lay the strap over a spare car wheel, the wheel makes the stump lift up, making it a lot easier to then pull it out, it really does look like it makes it so much easier to pull out a tree stump.

New subscriber here from Stanwood, Washington. USA. We can only scrap cars if you have the title proving ownership. They make it very hard if they are abandoned on your property. Some people crush them to get around this rule. At least it is this way in Washington state. Can't wait to see all the progress you make. Keep up the good work.

So that tow truck driver wouldn't be able to tow me off the side of a highway if I had a seized wheel bearing and my wheel doesn't spin?? That car is scrap, drag it up and get outta there lmao

What a MAMMOTH task!!! You are both amazing!! When did your dream begin? And how did you know which piece of land to choose?
So we started looking for land over 2 years ago now, every day we were looking online, asking in facebook groups, visiting land local to us and finding the owners contact details online, on land registry 🤣 and asking if they wanted to sell. It felt never ending and really doesn't feel real now it's actually happening 😅 we've always wanted to build our own home ever since we started looking for our first house 7 years ago, but it was out of our budget. So we just spent the next few years saving, looking etc 😀 when it came to choosing the land, price was the main factor as we had very little budget! So that meant we had limited choice haha
Looks like hard work but you'll get there 👍😃👌

That super thick root is called the 'tap root', it's the primary root. The longest and deepest root.

Loving your channel, so inspirational - and we just bought a George Foreman mini after watching today - genius idea with the Jackery. We do already use a Sage rice cooker with the Jackery for easy Risottos but didn’t know there was a min George Foreman :). I came a cross your Chanel when you posted on Facebook about campervan stopovers - I’m sure that you would get a lot of interest for that.

I've no idea why but my mind ran riot regarding bed bugs seeing the old mattresses and cushions I'm sure your taking precautions though by ditching the clothes before going into your tourer, sorry 😘 and as consolation your one of the most interesting renovation projects on RUclips I've seen, thank you for sharing guys, stay safe and good luck.

My mum is at the process of moving out of a caravan near Newcastle..I lived there for 6 years too years ago. I'm curious with what you will do with all that land. Are you going to be doing it up and maybe turn it into a new caravan site? And I noticed your not so fond of spiders haha, your in the wrong place if u don't like creepy crawlys haha bless you. haha! Facing my fears! 🤣 luckily Maggie loves chasing and eating spiders normally so I don't normally come across them. Wow sounds amazing, wish your mum luck from us! Thanks so much for watching all our videos 😄 We are filming and uploading our renovation in real-time, as we do the work around our day jobs, we have a busy month with our day jobs this month, so work is on hold on the land this month, as we can't fit anything in around work, but from September we will have weekly videos, as we will be busy on the land. So on our land we have permission to have 3 park homes, so we will be building 3 black Scandi inspired cabins, built within the guidelines of park homes. We will live in 1 and rent the other two out. We would also love to have seasonal glamping on the land too xx

If they reversed the flatbed upto the back of the car and left the handbrake off they could use the winch and it would pull the flatbed under and pull the car on even with the wheels seized some people give up too easily there is always a way
