We fly out of St Louis and we can be in Cancun in about 3 hours nonstop on Frontier. Other airlines would be a connecting flight of 5-23 hours to get to Cancun. We use personal items and 1 carry on for 2 people for a five to six nights stay. 3 night trip, personal items are all you need. Frontier Airlines does have restrictions but is our option best option.
Ive flown Frontier and Spirit and never had any issues, and checked a bag both times. Ive also flown Southwest, and thats the airline I have had the most issues on lol
love your videos...I used to get "annoyed" when you keep pointing out to not check a bag, but for some reason I finally realized you only go for 3 days :) For a week we need to bring a pharmacy pretty much lol. Plus, from Canada, most of the airlines charge EXTRA for the carry-on, but not the checked bag but yes, going with just a carry-on would be ideal :) My wife and her girlfriend tried it once and due to so many passengers using carry-ons they had to check their carry-on anyway (picked at random).

I'm gonna be breaking the rule about buying a cheap carry-on. We usually check a bag each, but we're going to try to get by with just a carry-on and a backpack each this time. My carry-on is so cheap I don't think it even has a brand name. 😅 It's supposed to be shipped to my house today.
Couple things (both related) that I'll never do again when traveling are 1) drive to the airport the same day as my flight *note - i schedule the earliest flight possible and live 2 hr from the airport 2) park at the airport, as mentioned above, from now on I'll spend the extra money to stay at a nice hotel the night before and be shuttled to the airport instead of paying for airport parking. Might just be my way but it does work for me 👍🙂
@@3Days3NochesWe would have missed our connecting flight last time coming back from Cancun in Atlanta over our checked bags if our flight hadn't been delayed. It took over an hour for them to unload them from the plane. It got to the point that I was ready to just leave them behind. I even asked my wife if there was anything in them that she couldn't live without.

I never use the same. I put them in our suitcases that have locks on them. I’ve never heard of someone stealing a whole suitcase out of a room lol
