Unfortunately, I travel a lot for work and Camryn still has school every day… BUT it’s almost Christmas break and we will get to record then!!
Courtney has been around a while, having fronted the bands Iwrestledabearonce and Unicron before this, but she's FINALLY IN HER MOMENT with Spiritbox and this band is the best she has ever been a part of by a wide margin!

Best part to me is the breakdown. Mike and Zev playing in different time signatures makes everything feel chaotic and disconnected, but also comes back together perfectly for that final chorus.

Spiritbox has turned into one of my favorite bands ever since Eternal Blue came out and I love how they manage to conquer both mellow and heavy tracks with beautiful lyrics and sound.
I'm a core kid (30 lol), and I initially thought the Holy Roller was a bit too heavy for me when my friend showed it to me, but it has changed everything since then.
I saw them live for the first time this summer, sadly Courtney broke her foot last year and they cancelled the day before playing DK, so I was stoked to finally experience them live!
Love the variance in releases and I have yet to not like a single.
Great to see you two enjoying them as well!
As someone who has listened to the softer side of metal, its great to hear the more brutal side of it👍

It’s super fun… Really, the hardest part is trying to find when we both have time to sit down and do it.
Some one further down mentioned the following band, BUT I SECOND IT: KITTIE. If you don't know anything about them.... they're an all-female Metalcore band who formed in the mid-late 90s (when the female presence in Metalcore didn exist), but they sent the message to girls that WOMEN COULD ABSOLUTELY HANG WITH THE GUYS in the genre.
"Oracle" is my favourite album of theirs though and it's teeming with bangers: "Pain", "Severed", "No Name", "What I Always Wanted", "Safe" and "Pink Lemonade" (THE HEAVIEST song they ever wrote, like... not just instrumentally heavy, but also dark and really unsettling. It makes me think of walls slowly closing in on and suffocating me).

if you two also dabble in the heavy, i would like to recommend some metal bangers that havent really hit the reaction scene yet, Perhaps they never will. But they are GREAT! LO! - Salting The Earth , Viscera - Rats with wings, Shadow of intent - The Migrant, Blindfolded and led to the woods - Cicada.
Also Spiritbox was cool.
Courtney's a queen!! I would dear say that she's the metal equivalent to Lana Del Rey! :)
