Shortly after, Kawasaki pulled this off and everyone went crazy. My friend told me that was what baseball was all about. It’s a fond memory. My friend has since passed away (at age 22) and this video has reminded me of such good times.

Incredibly, he developed mental illness after returning to Japan. I feel like he was doing a lot of work to get the team excited. However, he is now playing well in Japan's independent league. And on Japanese variety shows, he always makes us smile just like he did when he was with the Cubs. I followed Ichiro to America and continued to improve myself in order to inspire the team. He is my biggest hero.
