Oh my--I had to laugh when you said you had a lot of paper. I did get some good ideas from this video, though I am not a minimalist and have been told I have more than the craft store. I am in the process of sorting all my paper again, quite a challenge since I have literally thousands of sheets of paper. This did encourage me to weed out the stuff I don't like from the paper pads (I've been doing that but feeling guilty for some reason). Thanks for a good video!
Thanks for watching Sharon! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. And yes- it's funny how we all have different perspectives of what "a lot" looks like! 😂💛🙌🎉
Hi Laura , I have to say that I have watched a lot of organizing my scrapbooking paper ! They have so many different categories and it took forever especially with the amount of paper I have ! Thank you, thank you so much ! I did 2 drawers full in less than half an hour! Wow , the amount of time I wasted trying all of the other ways ! Now if you only had a great way to organize my stickers and embellishments! I am so overwhelmed and really need a new way to organize! Have a wonderful day ! Lorie
Hey Lori! I'm SOOO happy to hear how helpful this video was for you!! I hope this organizing method increases your crafty motivation to make things :D I do have quite a few videos on my declutter/konmari my craft room paylist where I do similar things decluttering and reorganizing :)
Hi Laura! I’m working in my craft room now and purging things I don’t feel need to be in the space as well as things I no longer need. Love your simplified categories for pattern paper. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day! Your bunny is so precious!
Thank you so much for watching and for the sweet comment Terry! Love that you're doing a similar process, I have a whole "konmari my craft room" series on my channel because it is a never-ending, super beneficial process to declutter our craft supplies. So glad that sharing my simplified categories was helpful! Let me know how it goes for you when you go through yours! :D
Thank you for sharing your process, specifically the questions you ask yourself and the paper categories you created. I enjoyed your craft declutter videos and look forward to seeing more of your videos. Thank you!
Thank you so much for watching and sharing a kind comment Marsha! It's so rewarding to have that feedback as a video creator/ process sharer :) I'm so glad you're enjoying the series and I can't wait to share more of it in the future!
I have way too many 12" x 12" paper pads but I still think this would work for me. There are always papers in a paper pad that I would never use, so from now on, I'll rip them out and donate them. Great 💡
@@LauraRahel I ended up donating quite a few paper pads and only kept the ones I really love. I still have a 2 x 4 kallax unit that is full of 12 x 12 papers and card stock....but I’m ok with that. I’m focusing on shopping my stash in 2021. All the best x
Thank you so much Lori! I've been looking at it lately and rethinking it. I think that's usually a sign that it's not necessarily the method of organization that isn't working, but the amount of papers I have accumulated since then! lol. I need to get crafty and make some layouts to use up some of my stash.
This was so helpful! Thank you. I struggle with this. Do I organize by colour, theme, brand, collection, etc. I use my paper in all of those ways. I'm going to take a sample of paper and sort it into your categories and give that a try. Thanks!
I've been looking for videos like this! I have a small stash and small space too, although I make cards rather than scrapbooking. All the other organizing videos I've watched have inches of paper for each small category or color, and I've struggled to know how to organize when the most I have of any one category/color is maybe a dozen sheets (although I have lots of categories, and some really do need to be separated). I've been working on using up some of my stash so I don't have to organize it, but now I think I've figured out a way to organize what I do have. Thanks! I'll be checking out your other videos too :)
All of my paper is in one box. I wouldn’t have a clue what is in there but I have planned to do similar to you, go through it one by one and keep what I will use and any papers cut up already I’m going to use all my different punches and punch shapes out of them or cut down to 3x4 cards
I live in Michigan! What scrapbook stores did you go to for the awesome paper? Sorry if you said it in the video and I missed it. Would love to go to an actual scrapbook store!
Hey Emily! I went to Bayview Scrappers in Traverse City and Scrapaloo in Cadillac 😄💛💕 They each had a different selection and I enjoyed both! I will say that a lot of what I bought for full price at Bayview Scrappers is now (10 months later) available so cheap at Tuesday Morning (Pebbles baby girl line, some thickers, etc) so that dissapointed me that I paid double. But cute stuff at both places and if you go to some Tuesday Mornings first you'll only buy from the scrap stores what isn't available at Tuesday Morning 😁🎉
I have same question as the one posted in one of the comments below; Where did u get those transparent plastic shelves that go in that cubies?? There is not link for that in the description or no mention of it in the video either.
Thank you for sharing this! I am putting together my crazy room (so excited to have a room just for crafting!) and this was helpful! I try to live a minimal lifestyle and it’s harder with crafting! Lol what size is your cubic shelves?
Thank you so much for watching and for the sweet comment Elena! YAY for having a dedicated crafting space- it is the absolute best thing!! I love that there are other crafters out there trying to live more minimalist too
Wow you have hardly any papers at all. I think most of us out here have thousands of papers unfortunately your method won’t work with people who have more than 200 papers but it’s a good idea and works for you
I used a number stamp to stamp out the years on a small piece of white paper and then inserted that into the metal title holder that comes on the spine of the albums. 😄
I knew you were the right choice for advice when I saw your shirt 🦖 Thanks for the help!
Hahaha, thanks! We love that franchise in our house! 😄🎉

Has 10 paper pads and they are out of control....my paper pads would freak you out. LMAO! Thanks for the video! I do need to get rid of some paper.
Haha, we all have different "sweet spots" for how large or small our crafty stash is! So funny :D

Yeah my collection is small compared to some, but very large for me. I think I'm under 500 papers probably. It would be interesting to count!
How did you put the dates on your albums.
I used a number stamp to stamp out the years on a small piece of white paper and then inserted that into the metal title holder that comes on the spine of the albums. 😄
tHANKS fOr THE INFO cOULD YOU SHOW US HOW TO USE THE LITTLE BOXES ON ONE Sheet`
Sure, which sheet are you referring to? If you give me a time stamp I can be specific in my response 😀💛
please more and fast ripping some paper and I hope to show your face when ripping the paper thank you!
Thank you, I'll work on trying to frame the videos better to show me when I do the tasks.
