      This was great, I just saw part of the end after they arrived at the Dwarf mine. Really liked the battle music.
      You should definitely check the levels for the audio though and that static, I felt sorry for the people with headphones.

    • @loganb9218
      @loganb9218 9 лет назад

      The D&D game was great. I thought it would have been great to have a new player play with them to have some explanation of what they are doing and what they need to do/how to play. Though that may have been more trouble with the large and established group they already have. I know Becca said she wanted to learn, but also know that she had to go to work and wouldn't have been able to stay for the game anyway.
      But might be an idea for a future segment, to help introduce some people to the game (surprisingly I saw a lot of comments from people that said they'd never played D&D) and introduce some others to 5th edition rules.

      Logan B I believe Matt, the DM, is going to make a game with less experienced players, so I'm sure Becca will be part of this game.

      Allie-RX Becca is adorable.
      Beware, that chick is excessively addictive. She already has a big host of fans on the Geek & Sundry channel. It feels almost unfair to the other hosts because they have all been doing an amazing job so far.

      Chris Fox And that's nothing compared to the 48h charity marathon. She kept dancing ALL THE TIME ! Her and Stef are both amazing dancers.

      InXLsisDeo I know I was amazed that they were able to keep their energy up. Not only to still be able to dance after the 100th time they did the donation dance, but that Becca and Stef were still able to put so much energy into their dancing after all that time, and still the the "Just Dance" competitions.

    • @loganb9218
      @loganb9218 9 лет назад +4

      I believe that they are trying to direct their stuff more to Twitch and their own Geek and Sundry website now. Posting the videos and such there rather than on RUclips. They are really growing the brand and putting a lot of time and money into the business, and need to make a little something for that from twitch subscribers or from ad revenue on their website (and they don't have a ton of ads running on their site that slows loading or starts 10 video ads autorunning like some websites do).

    It's a pretty good offering as twitch channels go, but I just can't stand slow mode. It kills conversations. Chat becomes just endlessly chiming in one-off bits of info or jokes hoping that the presenters might read it out, whereas non-slow-mode channels you get a genuine community forming in the chat.

      Bill Gould If you say so. Since I don't know where any of them happen to be at any one time (youtube has spaces in several cities and there are tons of people not in LA on youtube), that is a big assumption to make. Also, are they on PST or PDT right now... yes, those are different.

    Doing shows on twitch channel is like going backward to the pre-on-demand, pre-DVR era. twitch should be used for other kinds of things, like twitch-plays-pokemon. maybe have a d&d game where the audience will spam-control 1 character. lol

    4 out of the last 5 video on this channel have been under 1 minute long. All these announcement videos could and should have been in one video. Grabbing every single view possible by spamming vids seems to be more important to this channel than the viewers themselves. Sad. :(

    • @Splattercat
      @Splattercat 9 лет назад +4

      You don't feel that each person is worthy of their own introductory video?
      *That's* sad.

    • @JRSiebz
      @JRSiebz 9 лет назад +2

      Splattercat Instead of doing a single 5 minute channel announcements video, they put up a bunch of 1 minute vids so that they could get extra ad impressions instead of having the one convenient video. Them being "worthy" has nothing to do with it. It's an announcement video of an unreleased show with unknown people. How can something that does not exist yet be deserving effort, attention, or respect?

    • @Splattercat
      @Splattercat 9 лет назад

      ***** What evidence do you have that "get more views" was their motivation?
      Again, these promos were made during/after a 48 hour livestream. They were all shot on the spot when it was convenient, rather than get everyone together later and do a formal video. Their schedule leading up to the channel's launch was incredibly hectic. Doing separate videos was more far more convenient. Noting of course that the three videos thus far were put up on separate days and Stef's still hasn't been put up. Because they're at the SXSW convention right now.
      And not for nothing, but it's also a good way to gauge initial impressions by separating them rather than putting them all together and sifting through comments.

    • @JRSiebz
      @JRSiebz 9 лет назад +2

      Splattercat
      Because they ran ads on 4+ 40-second videos. Same reason there are so many 3 minute "top X things" and "top X reasons" videos on youtube. Just to get ad views.

    • @Splattercat
      @Splattercat 9 лет назад +1

      ***** That's not evidence, that's supposition.
      EDIT: If you would like further evidence that is contrary to your ad theory, they're hosting all their archived footage from their Twitch channel on Geek&Sundry's own website rather than RUclips.
