So glad you guys listened to “Smooth Operator”! Yes, Sade (pronounced Sha-day) has one of the most unique voices. My husband & I were newlyweds when this came out in the ‘80’s...one morning he came through the bathroom while I was taking a shower, and I could here him singing “she’s a smooth shower-taker”. 😂
Understand, I was married in Malibu in 81..... She owned love and the Cool Factor 😎
lol the woman I was with for the last few years had never heard her until I played “no ordinary kind of love “ and I played that on our first actual date at her house after I cooked her dinner (I’m a chef ) and she simply took me right to the bedroom after I played/sang it to her lol. The name of the band is also Sade (pronounced Shar-day). Sade herself is Helen Folasade Adu, born in Nigeria but grew up England. Her mum was English and her dad was Nigerian. This video is about 35 years old, but Sade the band is still together and Ms Adu is still as beautiful as ever...

I grew up in the 80s and she was so cool. She was the beginning of international music becoming popular besides England. She always had an air of mystery even in interviews. Her album is incredible, the entire album.

I watch them when I’m having a bad day, too. Then the next thing you know, I’m laughing at them or I’m laughter with them. I’m also sing along with them, which is also fun. I also go to my favorite videos of theirs: Jolene, In The Air Tonight, Motownphilly, Easy Lover, Message In A Bottle, Blue Bayou, Wannabe, Do It Again, Rocky Mountain High, etc. I ❤️ them.

Smooth operator, God knows I've run into more then a few of those in my day. Tim and Fred, be damn careful of those. The more famous you become, and you're getting there, the more of those your going to run into. Their main thing will be to try and separate you from your money.
