This episode was incredible
the best one yet. keep it up and thank you guys.
Non stop sack riding from the first second 😂😂
This was fucking gold
Part two, please. That was amazing
Tank out there burying Tito for 15 mins straight was Norm MacDonald levels of dry humor.😂😂
15 minutes? Over an hour in, and this has been 95% of the show so far. xD
Bro it's actually hilarious and I believe every word of it. Tank was able to see a side of Tito that Rampage never saw or that other people don't see.
😂😂😂
Tito Ortiz was Brendan Schaub before Brendan Schaub. I want to see Tank reacting to Chael roasting Tito at that conference when he was telling a jackal story.
I bad food in my mouth when he did the mumble sounds i almost choked and died 😂😂😂
Man had 6 strokes and is still smarter than Tito Ortiz 😂😂😂
Barely.
@@TruthSeeker-rn1tmtell us another story about gazelles
@@TruthSeeker-rn1tmbarely? He may talk a bit slower but he’s still there mentally. Tank has always been a smart guy. He’s got a bachelors degree in history and, more importantly, was smart enough with the money he made to retire early. Rumor has it that’s he’s still living comfortably off of his WCW money. Besides his Rolex and nice home he is frugal with his money. To me, that’s a smart man.
@@TruthSeeker-rn1tmHow so?
@@BlazinSkunk That's good to know bro.
For some reason I didn't think tank would be so articulate. It's very refreshing
From what I understand, tank has always been super intelligent. He also did very well with his wcw money and is pretty financially secure. He was just a drunken, tough guy psychopath who you did not wanna fuck with.
Holds a degree in History
Bingo: he was educated but put the persona on.
I remember the ufc 40 dvd extras & the likes of Metzger & Miletich took objection for that reason.
Very impressed
Rampage is surprisingly good as a podcaster. Unlike other guys who want to do this, he does a great job of letting the guest be the guest. He doesn't quibble with Tank about his boy Tito... just lets him talk. In the Briggs podcast, he doesn't start going back and forth... again, treating his guest (Briggs) like the guest. A lot of guys like Rampage would be talking like they the guest.
Bars
I never expected Tank Abbott to be this funny. Him roasting Tito is absolute gold
Tank was MMA's original shit talker
It was hilarious 😂😂😂
The Hogan story was hilarious: "Jesus Christ you're drinking these brother!?"
To me don fry was the real OG, He ran through ppl.
Have u ever seen/heard him interviewed?
Man, since you are bringing this types of guests, may I suggest you bringing on Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipović? There is almost ZERO interviews with the man, he got a stroke a couple of years back and will never fight again. I understand he's not based in the US, but maybe some day he'll come or you can organize it some other way. Nobody talks about him even anymore
Great idea 💯💡 I'd love to see that
Cro Cop and Fedor would be epic
@@Dodo-so8dz I can understand why Fedor would be an interesting guest for a lot of MMA fans. Personally I used to like the guy a lot, up until he turned out to be an outspoken supporter of russia invading my country. And with him also being an outspoken supporter of serbia's chauvinistic imperialism, I'm not quite sure Mirko would be at ease being in the same room with Fedor, if you meant them being on the same interview.
Just my two cents, don't get me wrong, I understand for majority of people that all doesn't matter.
Or even better: get the legend Brendan Schaub
Please no @@bigben42
Best part was Mr Jackson trying to hold back his laughter. Absolute gold
🤣🤣🤣
Mr Jackson?? Lmao. Rampage bro. Rampage
@@JimmyR83 the astute Mr. Jackson has started class

As you should

That was incredible. Please get Tank back for part two! Thank you.
Tank Abbott is so legendary. You will never know how good he was by just looking at stats or watching the fights without context. Everything together, this dude is a super human
He DID nearly throw an opponent out of the cage
I'm 20 mins in and Tank hasn't stopped ripping on Tito, damn. Dude died 5 times and had 6 strokes, couldn't put thoughts together or function properly for a long ass time, but he has the neuroplasticity to recall and bury Tito non-stop like he cutting a promo.
30+mins in and still going strong. He's funny.
My thoughts too! His hatred for tito brought him through the freakin abyss!
😂😂
Its truly inspiring
20 mins? hehe I'm 31 mins in...and other than talking about his transplants and health for about 90 seconds in the beginning, it has been all Tito. hehe. I remember him telling the cheque stealing story on another show a few years ago. So I actually believe most of the stuff he is saying. hehe.
“Tito Ortiz, was never my friend”- Tank Abbott

Tank is one of the guys that made kids of my generation (Gen X) fall in love with the UFC and NHB/MMA. He deserves to be in the HOF.
Dude hell yea
💯
Wait….. he’s not in the UFC hall of fame?????????? That doesn’t even make sense to me!!!!! That’s like sugar ray robinson or Jake Lamotta not making the hall of fame of boxing…..
Or like Jack Johnson not making the hall of fame….
The original BMF Champion.
True pioneer & legend of the sport.
Seriously. Have him walk the title out like the rock did.
right man at the right time, hardly a pioneer with a 10-15 record
He should put on the belt like Coleman just did! Fuck the Rock
@Sam-ji1fu a pioneer has nothing to do with his record. Tank was the Original Street fighter. The original bad boy. If you watched him then, you were always either scared of what he would do or looking to see who would beat him. he's not the average everyday man. in today's UFC, even in his prime, tank would get smoked but he still paved the way for the heels of the sport
@@jcdezmenclearly you’re new, Tank had some great fights against literal bums. Anytime he fought someone with a name he lost and easily. Had a streak of being finished in the first round for a while, he was known for being a scrapper but like he even says in the video he was just a fighter, even back then you had to be more than that and actually have some skill.
Seeing Tank Abbott all clean cut and well-adjusted is mind blowing, because this is NOT the same guy I saw as a kid. And I believe every word he said about Tito 😂😂😂😂
Bro he was like a terrifying mythical beast when I first saw him in like 1995 on VHS tape My brother bought home from Blockbuster. I was about 7 years old and in awe and terrified from my couch watching him on TV.

Rampage was rolling with old school Abbots stories lol.
Loved this interview
When Rampage asked " WAS TITO THERE? " hahahahahaha I burst out laughing. GREAT POD !!!!!!! Be hard to TOP this. !!
This should be retitled to “The Roast of Tito Ortiz”
Tank shitting on tito for like 25 minutes straight is wild to me considering rampage is titos friend.
Over an hour, ongoing... lol
Crazy bro
It was longer 😂 dude buried him 😂
Rent Free as hell
If you watched Abbott's earlier interviews and podcasts, he was always talking bad about Tito, that's his main focus to talk about.
THIS WAS SO GREST. Pls get Tanker back!! so many great stories
This is hands down best podcast guest to date. Bring him back again for roundd 2 and 3!. We need like a 6 hour pod with Tank!

Tank is surprisingly articulate for how I would have imagined him not even considering the health obstacles he’s overcome and still lives with. It would be really cool to see legends like him involved more
Tank is a true pioneer. His fights are epic! Good to see him on the podcast!
Tank Abbot was first pick for Chael’s UFC draft with DC this week, sick to see him here
I Wana see that ..
Tank was cooking Tito man that shit was hilarious
He woke up and chose violence
Having Tank & Rampage together is priceless! Two real street fighters, that were the ones to bring that street smarts, brawling, & street talk to the cage.
Great to see Tank. Hope he can do more interviews. Would love to see him on Joe Rogan's podcast.

@@kevincloonan9787 yeah 😅😅
the fight where Tank laid out that Samoan "Bonebreaker" is still one of the most brutal K.Os in MMA and Combat Sports.
BROOOOOOOOOO that was Epic
Tank was the first break out star of the UFC.... people talk about Tito or Chuck but Tank Abbott was the first identifiable - i've gotta see this guy fight - figher in the UFC.
Watched that live as it aired. It was legit scary. Never seen anybody stiffen up like that.
Yeah, that definitely isn’t true. That would’ve been either Royce or Ken. Royce became immediately recognizable as “that little guy choking out big dudes” and Ken was getting casted in n movies.
@arthurrimbaud7287 Royce was an obscure name in an obscure sport in the early 90's, he was known inside martial arts circles but nobody outside of martial arts knew who he was.... he was not a breakout star. And Ken Shamrock wasn't in movies until the late 90's/early 2000's, he crossed over into wrestling earlier but he wasn't known outside of MMA or wrestling. Tank was known outside of the sport, he was easily identifiable and by the mid 90's he was the prototypical UFC star that transcended the sport. Followed by Tito, and then Chuck ultimately became the guy as MMA crossed over into the mainstream.
Royce was on martial arts nerds radar and Ken Shamrock was a secondary star but Tank was *the* guy in the mid 90's. He was heavily featured in the promos. Regular people saw the name UFC and thought Tank Abbott.
Tank needs a part 2 of his stories and roasting fighters. Please bring him back.
Tank was the first fighter I saw around the ages of 9-12 and fell in love with the UFC. Great episode!
Honestly, this hands-down is my favorite episode so far‼️💯 JAXXON POCAST just keeps bringing in all of the heavy hitters. Tank Abbott is a legend💯👊🔥🔥🔥

Love to hear about his fights leading up, pat Smith rip, story. Soooo mich shit to ask. Wicked podcast guys, thanks!
Love to see the respect Rampage holds in the mma community. Bringing literal legends we haven’t heard from in a while and also current ones. The dynamic is great ,not just a mma podcast but a life podcast
I disliked Rampage for his unprovoked bullying of Schoonover (SP?) in TUF 10. Still hate what he did, but like this version of Rampage.
You guys should have Jeremy Horn on your show. The guy is an encyclopedia of old-school MMA knowledge.
good suggestion
ive always thought jeremy horn vs gsp at middle weight wouldve been the great

Yes! 👏🏼
I had the privilege when I was younger to have trained with Jeremy and I'd absolutely love to see him on here! Extremely knowledgeable!
Tank is why I started watching UFC . The original legend I still own all the VHS UFC’s with him . He was my original favorite that led to chuck Liddell and then Jon Jones what a great interview glad to know he is doing alright . Back in his day for a fight fan that likes knockouts there where two men , Mike Tyson in boxing and Tank Abbott in UFC.
Exactly! Tyson and Tank!
I didn’t expect this episode to be so good as well as funny. I also don’t think Rampage has been this tuned in to the guest and their stories, you could tell he wanted to hear what Tank had to say. Great gem of an episode!
TANK HAS A WINNERS MINDSET NOT A LOSERS HE WILL NEVER KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO GIVE UP ON HIMSELF. - TITO
tank abbott is the best and most entertaining ghest youve had so far! his stories are amazing and need to have him back soon on there.
Your guy’s podcast is killing it! Never expect a legend on here. Fricken awesome!!!
Tank is actually a comedian😭😭😭😭😂😂😂
Tank was MMA's original bad boy and villain, brought in a whole new fold of fans, and he was a force during the tournament era. Definitely belongs in the UFC Hall of Fame.
He was a bum he got dog walked by any real fighter. A 19 year old Vitor beat the brakes off him. Once he fought real guys he was getting beat up. Mir was going to break something on him. Tapped him easily
@bluemoonrpg326 so you mean once he was washed a new wave of fighters came woww it's like that's how it works
@@Mkvs68 Literally go and look at his record it was like that from the start of his career, he’d beat the bums then get obliterated by actual names.

Tank really only lost in tournaments where it was set up badly for him he never gave a shit about his record and the ufc played on that and set him up multiple times.
Tank was a freak of nature.

I've always thought big John was way too intense. The way he would throw fighters off after they win in the early days made me think he was flexing a bit

I’m only 15 minutes in And we already want tank back ✊ Thanks for all the epic guest jaxxon crew
Tank is so different now, man. It's crazy to see how much he matured and settled in his old age. Love it. Especially after having come straight from watching his old appearances on UFC in fight pass. Dude was MEAN.
The name Tank Abbott still gives me chills. Watching him articulate his experience at this age and still having wits about him is absolutely amazing!
Back in 1999,,, while I was spying on my ex GF while she was working at Applebees I saw Tank walking from the Hilton hotel to Applebees. I pulled up giddy wanting an autograph and trying to talk to him. I walked in Applebees with him and they quit serving alcohol. A couple guys knew who he was and we all got into this guys car and went to a local bar. I wasn’t even 21. I’m 45 now. Tank snuck me in and he got wasted. After the bar closed we drove him back to the Hilton. He was smashed. But no one messed with him at the bar. A few people knew who he was too.
Stephen Neal, my old football teammate from San Diego high school. He went to play in the NFL with the Patriots & got 2 or 3 rings. O-line, great guy. Great episode
Two hours didn't even skim the surface. Tanks a natural born storyteller. If there's anyone who deserves his own podcast it's him.
I almost tear up seeing Rampage interviewing these legends. Rampage has so much respect for them and so much knowledge of the golden age of MMA. In a time where I'm worried people won't remember the legends, I'm so thankful Rampage and Bear keeps the sport alive for us old heads.

Thanks, guys, for having tank Abbott, on here. I love all these stories from the early days of the ufc. I grew up watching the early ufc and loved the early ufc years. Thanks, Tank Abbott, for these early ufc stories.I must read your book. Tank Abbott, was one of the most exciting fighters out there.
Finally!!! You guys are the freaking best! Sending love to all you!
Titos gonna try and set up a fight with Tank now like the third Chuck fight🤣
He doesn't need to fight. Tank was much smarter with his money than they were. He didnt buy Ferarris, and marry fast women lol.
Can’t believe Bear made Tank ditch the Tito roast like that. Obvious attempt to change the topic, that was GOLD and the whole podcast could’ve been about it
Ikr, he should just stay quiet. Tito'd be a better cohost than this dude
i never thought id want to listen to tank abbot talk for 2 hours straight
I bought and read all three of Tank’s books and they are fascinating and absolutely hilarious. For legal reasons Tank has to pretend it’s “fiction” but every event is exactly how it went down in real life including “Cheeto” (Tito) “Bart Shady” (Art davie) “Vinny diamond” (Ken shamrock) “Sea Lion Beach” (Seal Beach) “Sea Lion Beach Liquors” (Seal beach Liquors-which is still there today) “Happening Beach” (Huntington Beach) “Wong Beach State” (Long Beach State) and everyone and everywhere else from that time. The stories of the main character, Walter Foxx (Tank) are *exactly* the same as the stories from this show. Plus A LOT more. Details of his time in jail, how he came to find the UFC, daily drinking and driving with his pitbull companion, his dealings with Bob Meyerwitz (forgot bobs name in the book), big John being a bitch and on and on. I cannot wait for the fourth book about “Walter’s” adventures in pro wrestling. Buy the books. You help support a pioneer while having some fantastic entertainment to read on the beach or while camping this summer.
We needed about 3 more hours to get this man's entire story. Tank is THE legend of legends.
