    Hi. I'd love to do MANAGEMENT WITH FINANCE, in Warwick's site they do not offer that as a degree you can take. How can I know about that course???

    • @BeccaandSoph
      @BeccaandSoph  2 года назад

      Hey! My friends that took the course started off by just doing Management, then in second and third year you are able to select modules to specialise and change your degree to either Management with Finance or Management with Marketing.
      Although definitely worth checking with WBS that this is still offered 😁

    Hi Becca and Soph. I'm an international student who has just received an offer from WBS. I want to ask you about the school's reputation and how top firms like Pepsi, Deloitte, and IBM,... perceived students here? Does having a WBS degree give you an edge in the competitive UK labor market?

      Hi! Great question, there are lots of careers fairs where all types of companies attend (Big4, Investment Banks, FMCG etc), these are often big names.
      My experience from working at one of these companies is that LOTS of graduates are from Warwick (business school or other). Hope that helps!

    How is the social life at WBS ? Do MSc students get time everyday to experience on campus activities and sports and other club activities?

    • @BeccaandSoph
      @BeccaandSoph  2 года назад

      Like most unis, it’s what you make it 😁 there’s lots of opportunities to meet people at society events (sports teams, interest societies and academic societies). If you make an effort to go then you can definitely have a great social life!
      You’ll get a timetable that’ll definitely have gaps in for free time & you can do the society events are uni too 😁

    I’ve heard a lot about coventry being a dead town with nothing much to do at night since everything shuts super early. How much of this is true ?

    • @BeccaandSoph
      @BeccaandSoph  Год назад

      It depends what you’re comparing it to…. I think the clubs in Coventry/Leamington usually shut around 3 so pretty standard.
      There’s also Birmingham super close which is a short train journey / taxi ride away if you want a more exciting night out.
      I would say though that I don’t personally think Warwick is a “party uni”, there is a nightlife but it’s not as wild as Leeds, Manchester or Nottingham for example 😊 hope that helps!

    Hi there, I want to ask about the workload of the course :) is it heavy?

    • @BeccaandSoph
      @BeccaandSoph  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hi! Depends dependant on which modules you choose. In your first year there are 10 modules which may seem like a lot, but given the assessments are quite varied it seemed very manageable. Different modules also have varying contact hours too 😊

    Hi, what Alevels did you do? And what do you think are the best Alevels to take when getting into accounting and finance

    • @BeccaandSoph
      @BeccaandSoph  2 года назад

      Hey thanks for commenting! I did maths (I think you need this, but worth double checking), business studies and economics.
      Those a levels definitely helped but like I said, I think only maths was essential. If you want to know more about extra curricular etc, check out my ‘reading my personal statement’ video:

    • @BeccaandSoph
      @BeccaandSoph  Год назад

      Hey! Lots of students have part time jobs both on or off campus ☺️ if you’re worried about workload maybe consider a job at the uni such as tour guides as these seem to be more flexible to studies!

    Can you highlight the difference MSC and MBA program ?

    • @BeccaandSoph
      @BeccaandSoph  3 года назад +1

      MSc = Masters of Science
      MSc is usually taken shortly after undergraduate courses and is cheaper. It’s usually more specific to a certain subject.
      MBA = Masters of Business Administration
      MBA is usually taken a few years after your undergraduate and often requires work experience as an entry requirement. This is more general and is the favoured/more prestigious.
      Hope that helps!

    • @BeccaandSoph
      @BeccaandSoph  2 года назад

      I think that depends - all my friends from university have either gone on to further education or have graduate jobs 😊 like everything, I’d take reviews with a pinch of salt.
      The loan is definitely something to consider though! Especially with all the apprenticeship alternatives out there now 😁.

    👍Thumps up for your super useful clip.
    I am an international student. Is it possible to find a job on campus ?
    Also when do people start their internship ? Is it hard to get an internship as international student ?
    Is it difficult to get internship when you are not based in London ?
    Thk u.🌷🌷

    • @BeccaandSoph
      @BeccaandSoph  2 года назад +1

      Hi! They have specific student jobs on campus such as being ambassadors (hosts for induction days etc), baristas, waiters etc. Or within Leamington and Coventry there are lots of restaurants/bars/pubs which a lot of students work at.
      In first year, a lot of people do Spring Weeks (Easter holidays) and in second year, you could do a Summer Internships (Summer holidays). You should apply for both in the first term of that year if possible.
      The uni have a great careers team to guide you, do mock interviews and help with CVs… so I don’t think it’s too difficult to get an internships as most of my friends did one (and most of them in London) ☺️ hope that helps!
