- What is it really like studying at Warwick University?
Well, in this video, I’ll be sharing my experiences as an ECONOMICS STUDENT at Warwick University.

In the video you mention "choose your modules early" and I was wondering if you could expand on this a bit for the straight L100 Economics course.
Are optional modules within the Economics department (EC-coded) guaranteed as long as you pick them before the deadline? Or are they allocated on a first come first served basis?
Do you have to sign up for seminars or are they allocated (for core and optional modules)?
Are Economics students given priority over non-Economics students when it comes to selecting optional modules within the Economics department?
How is the work load? And how is Warwick for someone who is an ethnic minority?
Is there opportunities for internships?
What advice would u give someone who hasn't studied econ before uni ?

My workload for Economics, there's a fair bit I won't lie - it's about trying to balance your degree whilst experiencing what uni has to offer!
My advice -
1. Check the syllabus/content of uni you would be applying to...there are different types of Econ degrees out there (etc BSc/BA, some more maths based whilst some degrees are more essay based)
2. It's good to start off with the basics so speaking to any students in your school who are doing Economics/or asking your Econ teachers for a spare text book for you to read over time could be beneficial
3. Would also suggest during the summer having a look at possibly some 1st year undergrad stuff just because for myself, the jump from A-level Econ to Uni Econ was quite mad lool

I have a scientific background too😂😅...Apparently I began to have interest in economics when I was studying for IGCSE. Just really started loving the interactions and all😅. What kind of jobs are you looking at after grad.

I've heard rumours from some people that it can be quite cliquey but hoping its not true.

With what I seen, I'ld be lying if I said there weren't any cliques however, I've met some pretty amazing people at Warwick from across all boards.
I feel you can only do the best that you can do by being you and also being proactive (e.g. sports, societies etc) and I'm sure you'll be able to find really cool people

Hi, do you know the difference between BA and BSC Economics
Might be wrong but BA is more theoretical and Bsc is more Mathematical :)
I specifically came to this video to see if you would mention economic history. I hate this module, they really need to scrap it 😤😤

what made you choose pure Economics over Econs & industrial organisation or Econs, Politics & International studies?
Really it was down to lack of research, I did not know at the time that Warwick offered different variants of an Economics degree, hence why I felt that I should mention about it in this video!

Got into UCL but chose Warwick instead
My predicted grades were: 4A*s

@@craigmalcom6294 both Warwick and UCL are top universities for Economics.
Warwick University consistently ranks in the top 3 universities in the UK for Economics - also in terms of employment, many Warwick graduates are recruited from top firms especially within the finance sector
So really it was down to student satisfaction and the environment which I felt Warwick would be better
