Films, Incorporated was NOT a "bootleg film company"- far from it; they were one of the leading film rental companies in the U.S. from the '40s through the '70s {their catalogs alone were worth the price of admission!}.
I remember their later logo sequence from seeing it attached to "Nanook of the North"! ruclips.net/video/HmNvceI8efI/видео.html They also provided non-theatrical distribution of feature films for different organizations like student union clubs in colleges. A college I went to was the last to use such a service in the 90's.
I hope this Flip the Frog cartoon: "FLIP'S LUNCH ROOM" will included the MGM Jackie the Lion roaring logo and the original title will be restored on Blu-ray from Thunderbean.
This is a reprint of a Flip the Frog cartoon from 1933 when it was originally released by MGM, the Films Incorporated logo that I have not seen it before.
When the crook had no means to pay for the soup, he got off pretty easy (in spite of his cheap watch shattering to pieces). Then, he just had to escalate the situation by robbing them blind. .... Well, obtaining a free meal won't be a problem for him for the next five to ten years. With that said, I won't guarantee that it's chicken soup.
they said the cartoonist made the first mickey mouse, and you can see it in the frog. the dog looks just like pluto, even with that weird pin head thing it has.
@@Magnetron33 from my understanding Ub made mickey in his spare time in secret, drawing all the frames by hand, like 900 panels a day, which no one else was able to do. not sure when disney took the idea. but Ub also invented the camera system that made the distance effects, using an old car.
@@milessimmonss - i think the animators could be playing games with us, note 1:08 the pancake moves from the left to the right. But maybe you're right, the animators might find it easier to move the pancake rather than reanimate the character's arm movement. But note (as someone previously posted) the barrel labeled as "Lobsters" was actually filled with crabs. Either that was an animator's joke, or was a statement of the quality of that eatery.😀
This represents Catroons before it was all about killing the other person... Roadrunner sort of thing... The modern Tom nJerry, etc. Flip the Frog is wonderful...
that films incorprated logo is rare
The guy with the spaghetti and guy eating peas with a butter knife I relate to too much
Best to watch before sleep
I love the poor hound- he gets such a raw deal!

The barrel said “Fresh Lobsters” and it was filled with crabs 🦀
Yes, I noticed that.
A good salesman is a good liar. PT Barnum always said "there's a sucker born every minute."

Will be owned by MGM?
2:41 Me: "Dude, use a spoon!"

In America we don’t need spoons we got guns!

FUCKIN AWESOME.
Dad: "What kind of name is Ub?!"
Haha!
It's Dutch.
@@cartoonjoe AH! I was wondering that too. Thanks. Joe.
Little known UB cartoons. Great animation!
Yea buddy, love the UB Iwerks animation :)
He was right up there with Max and they were contemporaries. Some of the best there ever was or ever will be. The detail is unmatched in that era
0:00: There it is! The First Films Incorporated logo!
No, it's in 0:03. So it's spliced.

UB apparently designed Mickey as far as I know.

also like to mention that the cartoon shows a rather naughty version of mickey than we know of today.
I notice there was some depth remenicent of Max Fleischer
Ah yes any cartoon dog looks pluto just because it's a dog
Animation at 1:21 is messed up. The patty on the stove reappears.
You know that its a loop not a mistake

@@cmans79tr7 Yea so the thing is that its common to see loops in old cartoons
4:10, animation recycled from Soup Song (1930) (it comes in at 3'54 in Soup Song)
Nessa época do desenho, eu tinha 13 anos.
Me when I have soup at 4:56
sniffles is awesome Nastiest soup in the world
I saw the thumbnail and had to click.
Is that supposed to be a phone? Xd

Can anyone tell me what the chicken was saying at 4:14?
I replayed what the chicken said slow motion it said "melting" part
Do you think you could re-scan this to 1080p or 4k??? I would pay money for it.
This would cost roughly $125 in 2K, considerably more in 4K
@@cartoonsonfilm Thats alot you have to really like this to pay that much
