As an 87 year old "Recliner Babe"... I enjoy all the Van couples, their great photography talents and adventures. Through YOUR camera lenses and expertise, I am transported .....starting with setting up camp (my love and I traveled and camped in a cab over camper on a 1970 ...3/4 ton Chevy truck.....with only the basics.
Thanks to you and the ability you have to tell it like it is....and just when to let nature do the talking....I can hear the voice of the river.....see the sunsets, etc. I dont know how you do it....but I swear I can even smell the flora and fauna.
Our travel days are over, now. You have my gratitude for letting us come with you.
You are the very best at what you do.

Oh you have brought back some darn good memories with my wife and her parents.. All are gone now and I only have the fond memories. we practically raised our kids boating and camping on the snake down there. we had many fish fries and drank a few beers on hot days. I told my wife when she was alive that we mus have done something right with our kids taking them fishing and camping as they are good young men and women now. in fact they take their kids doing the same thing we did with them. I do miss my wife and the fun we had but I am glad I had the opportunity to have that time with her

Thank you for reminding us that there will be life after the coronavirus. No matter how much humans want to believe in their superiority, nature is the ultimate force, and it's ever changing march forward will continue. Seeing you almost dwarfed by nature makes the point that we are just a small part of something bigger and learning to see it and enjoy it is gift.

Yes if anything good comes from this virus, I hope that we all learn to appreciate life and nature more and what we were created for. Humans have a connection to nature and I feel we got lost along the way. Praying for all of us and hope this terrible situation can make us come together more. 💙🌎🌌🌅🌄 The earth is so precious and I believe may be the only planet like it out there. We are so very lucky. 🌍🌍🌍

Unfortunately I didn't do it enough. Your are privileged and blessed to have good health and able to do what you do. Thank you for showing us your adventures enjoying them so much. Take care and happy camping. 🚣🐦🦅🦃🛶🏕️🏔️🏞️

Dear Slim, I was expecting a great video, but you have shown us A FABULOUS one. What beautiful area and you, as usual, have captured it so wonderfully. Sad that they didn't do anything to allow the salmon farther upstream. Maybe, someday, it will be rectified. Thank you for taking us all along with you as you reveal anew the wonders of our one Earth. Stay safe and take care. From the land of the mosquito, Florida.

I am living now on the back side of Siltcoos Lake on the Oregon coast . I am 66 and plan living the rest of my days here. Sitting here "social distancing" and watching the snow pile up at my door! This video makes me want to grab the fly rod, load up the RV and hit the road. It doesn't make much sense why public lands are closed right now. Seems safer than staying among crowds in the city. Thanks for the great video and the warning about poison ivy....just what I don't need right now! Cheers!

PBS or a station should put your videos on a big network and let you keep doing what your doing on your own. Like I said, I'm just captivated & blown away by your videos. Just superb quality on everything you do. Your voice and the way you talk reminds me of PBS host David Yetman of the show "The Desert Speaks". Anybody ever told you that?
